We've been going to Lien Hoa for all of my life. It is that classic place that is just good and stands the test of time. They have excellent Chinese style BBQ meats. Our favorite are the cha sui BBQ pork, crispy skin roast pork and roast duck. Their chicken, intestine, and chicken feet are also family favorites. Everything is good there. Their meats are fresh tasting, moist and flavorful. It's delicious to put on rice, in a baguette sandwich, on noodles or with salad. Casual. Good service. Please come and create your own adventure.

The service is quick grab and go. They do accept card here. The chim cut was good, a little dry on certain parts but the price here is solid and the seasoning is perfect to my own liking

This location is always busy and they accept cash only. I like their roasted duck, peking duck or salted chicken and crispy pork . Especially roasted duck was so delicious. Crispy boneless pork are always perfectly cooked. They marinate with delicious spices, very tasty . I have supported them for many years. The only thing is that parking is difficult, which makes me lazy to come sometimes, especially on holidays.

Trust me, these ducks... they're real... and they're fire

Service is fast and straight-to-the-point, the prices are still reasonable, and you know it's the real deal when the line never really stops. The operation feels like controlled chaos in the best way...

My dad wanted some peiking duck and roast pork, so we stopped by to get some to go. We ended up impulsively buying other stuff too (chili oil pig ears, pork feet, and marinated duck wings). They did a good job marinating and roasting the meats. Everything was flavorful and reasonably priced (compared to San Diego). The staff were quick and friendly. I would recommend this place and come here again.

This is the place to order roasted duck and pork to go. There's no table service, no place to eat. It's just food to go. You can even get a pig head roasted to go.

    Thit Heo Quay

My mom buys the thit heo quay from here and there was a ton of pig hair on the crispy skin which is terrible, upsetting, gross, and inedible. Also the service sucks. We've had problems with their thit heo quay before and they're disrespectful. A lot of the pieces are really fatty as well. Don't go here if you want high quality meat and amazing service.

    Menu in Feb 2025

There are quite a few Chinese BBQ takeout restaurants in the Bolsa area, and I have tried them all, but Liên Hoa is consistently my go-to place to pick up a roast duck, barbecued or roast pork. Their salted and soy sauced chicken also good but can be a little dry for my taste. Prices have risen substantially over the years (a roast duck is now $32 in Feb 2025), but the taste remains the same. The restaurant and parking lot could get busy on the weekends or holidays, but not as much as I remember several years ago. They started accepting credit cards recently and that makes it easier to pay. Tip: You can request to take the food home to chop it up yourself. They have the tendency to chop up the pork meat in bigger chunks than I prefer.

Bad and unethical services. Mixing low price roast pig part when paying for a higher-price roasted part.

    Does this place cook turkey?

Yes they do for Thanks giving. However, I wouldn't recommend the dry rub style they use. The regular duck is better. Turkey is too lean

The sweetness of the grilled pork, the crispiness of the eggrolls wrapper bits, and the freshness of the vegetables pairs with the special sauce never fails to satisfy the craving. This time we tried their cheeseburger spring Roasted Duck spring rolls. I am not a duck fan so this was okay to me. The meat was well seasoned with the spices and the hoisin sauce was a nice balance. The crispy Vietnamese eggrolls were also a first and it was great! The meaty and crispiness of the eggrolls eaten like a lettuce wrap with the nuoc Cham sauce was delicious. This place always seems to be busy and rushed and can get a bit loud but the service is always great. They have a bar where you can grab some drinks while you wait. Their lychee martini is good. There is also a dessert display in the front where you check in which we haven't tried yet.

Our family orders nem nuong from this location every time we are in the area, to eat and to bring back home. The nem nuong here are always perfectly rolled and the crunch of the fried wonton strip inside makes it feels like party in your mouth! so good! Note: requesting to cut rolls in half costs extra. We prefer this location compare to the other one because it has faster service, quieter romantic atmosphere and polite attentive staff.

I wanted to order food for 10 people and saw they had party trays. Food looked good online and tasted even better in my mouth!!! Arguably one of the best pho places in my opinion. I think this place is older than I am, because…read moreI've been coming here since I was a baby! Over all those years, they have never disappointed me and continue to serve really good food. I usually get the beef brisket pho and it's really good. The noodles are just the right texture, the broth is clean and flavorful, and the meat tastes fresh and tender. Their dui bo is also very good, but usually runs out after 1:00 or 2:00 pm, since they only have a limited amount of this item every day. The meat is fall off the bone tender and has a more fatty flavor to it. It usually sits in some broth that absorbs that beefy and fatty flavor from the bone. A great addition to any bowl of pho. Alternatively, I sometimes also get the bun thit nuong and it's very good. The eggrolls it comes with is wrapped with rice paper, so when it's fried up, it has such a satisfying crunch and texture to it. The thit nuong is has a nice smokey, grilled flavor to it. The shrimps are okay as well. This is a very satisfying and filling dish, so if you're looking for a high volume dish, this may be the one to get. Expect long lines during peak hours. I can confirm though that the wait is worth it! Service is always very good. The ambiance on the inside is fine, very plain and unassuming in my opinion. It's really the pho that shines through at this restaurant. Parking can be a little tricky during peak hours.

Put your name on the list hanging outside the door and they will call you when ready! We were sat almost immediately though. Inside is a large scale mom and pop shop that is FILLED with people and workers. We ordered a medium and large #23 pho and 2 waters, we got everything not even 5 minutes later. When I tell you this is the BEST broth I've ever had, it blew me away. I'm not one to usually order extra noodles but for this place I would order as many noodles until I ran out of broth, it is that good. Noodles were on the soggier side, I'm not picky about noodles but if you are then this is something to consider. Portions were huge for the price, very happy with that. CASH ONLY. I didn't see an ATM there but I'm sure they had one. Will always recommend and they have a new customer for whenever I'm in OC.
