Before I get into it. I've never written a one star (wish they had a zero star) before nor even go on yelp often. Anyways, I've been coming to this place for many years and I do believe they do a great job when it comes to the food. However on my last visit, they gave me the wrong order. I ordered pork belly but received rib belly from another customer. The middle aged man and grumpy was the one that MADE the mistake. I didn't realized I have gotten the wrong order until driving home. I call them saying I got the wrong order and if I can get a refund or dispute because I am not going to pay for something I did not want. Upon calling, they asked if I can drive back and return it but I'm already an hour away on the freeway. They took down my name and number and said they'll redeem the same order in my next visit. Here I am visiting today, and I told them the situation and the same worker talked to me. He started lecturing me that I should've returned the food. "Food is food. If you don't like don't eat"... He continued to talk loudly and making a statement in front of this whole team and all of them looking like I was in the wrong. Excuse you? Did I ask for a box of bones? Weren't YOU the one that made the mistake? How RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL you are to the people helping your business. Please grow up and deal with situations more professionally. This is a late post. My mom and I went there to buy some meat for CNY. It was really noisy. The service was really bad. The ladies kept on screaming on what do you want instead of asking nicely when helping every customer. We just wanted to get our meat and leave. Upon paying for the meat. My mom gave the lady 2 $20 bill and was supposed to get $12 and some change back but never did. So we asked the cashier for it and she kept saying she gave and will check the camera and we said go ahead. The lady said she will check the camera but never did and it took forever so my mom said forget it it's not worth wasting our time for $12. We had better things to do. What an improvement from the olden days. The roast duck was chopped into huge pieces but otherwise tasty and juicy. There are quite a few Chinese BBQ takeout restaurants in the Bolsa area, and I have tried them all, but Liên Hoa is consistently my go-to place to pick up a roast duck, barbecued or roast pork. Their salted and soy sauced chicken also good but can be a little dry for my taste. Prices have risen substantially over the years (a roast duck is now $32 in Feb 2025), but the taste remains the same. The restaurant and parking lot could get busy on the weekends or holidays, but not as much as I remember several years ago. They started accepting credit cards recently and that makes it easier to pay. Tip: You can request to take the food home to chop it up yourself. Lien Hoa BBQ deli is one of the best Chinese bbq period. Been going here since I was little and still is my go to spot for roasted duck, roasted pig, whole chicken in soy sauce, and chicken feet. The roasted duck, the skin is perfectly roasted and has a beautiful color. You can have your roasted duck whole or chopped, most people and myself prefer it chopped. Once they chopped up the roasted duck, they put in a metal tray and pour a scoop of delicious duck sauce all over the roasted duck. I recommend eating the roasted duck with a loaf of bread. My all time favorite item and might the greatest food ever, is the Roasted pork belly. There are 4 types of pork you can order, 1. ham- which is more lean part of the pork. 2. shoulder- semi fatty and boneless 3. rib belly- semi fatty with bone in 4. Boneless pork belly- A must order The 4 boneless pork belly runs out pretty quick so if you do get lucky and they have some, make sure to order it! The pork skin is perfectly crunchy. It was the smallest not the best looking duck ever was kind of upset bought it anyways so they had roasted pork decided I want more went back. When I was a kid we drove to Chinatown Los Angeles to buy Chinese bbq and eat dim sum. I noticed Westminster/Garden Grove has the same foods we bought in Chinatown. On the way home from Rolling Hills Estates I stopped at Lien Hoa. Duck had a delicious flavor from the roasting process and the 5 powder spices used to marinate it. Skin was crispy while the meat was tender and juicy. I loved this roast duck. Roasted quail was $3 for a small bird. A bit dry but there was a delicious wild game flavor. Hard to eat as the quail was very small and there was not alot of meat. Next time I'll have to try the bbq pork and the roast pork. Service was friendly and speedy. read more

i went in this morning to order some roasted pork belly. They gave me the meaty part instead and accused me of ordering just meat only instead of the belly pork side. The lady at the cash register ( must be the owner ) was loud and very disrespectful and yelled at me the whole time. I just came back from an accident so I was not all that well and tried to avoid all confrontations and unnecessary stress from stupid events. Doesn't look like much when you walk by it. However as you walk in, you are greeted with the sights, sounds, and smell of a Chinese roast. Ducks are abound in the window, along with chicken, honey roasted bbq pork. The signs are posted whether you want pork shoulder, belly or belly with no bones (higher price per pound). The thing I love the most about asian shops, also not quite sure why the low reviews are stating, is that you have to be confident and kinda shout your order. This is when your Vietnamese comes in handy. Tell them confidently what part of the meats you like, how many pounds you want, and look them in the eye. Sometimes they might overfill your order by a bit but that is to be expected. Just confident in the pounds you want and watch the scales. Usually I don't have a problem as I tell them exactly what I want including poundage and be confident. All in all, this is the best roasted pork belly in town! Crispy skin with succulent meat underneath. They also give you sweet and sour sauces as well! It's so good to eat with rice or baguette. It's expensive but it is worth it. No part of the skin is burnt. The pork belly has three layers and not too salty. Highly recommend this place! Pro tip, the parking in the plaza can be hectic but what an you expect?
