These guys are fantastic!!! I have a 2011 Prius and one of the lift supports on the hatch just suddenly stopped working. I took it to Toyota of Escondido (after checking Auto Zone and Napa to see if we could get the part on our own) and they wanted almost $400 to replace the two lift supports. Complete absurdity. I almost passed out when they quoted it. Originally I thought we were going to have to go this route, since it really didn't seem there was another place to get them, but my husband found these guys and ordered the two for $53 out-the-door. I just went in to pick them up today thinking we'd have to install them, but a nice guy named Lou offered to put them on for me for FREE. So, this was a savings of $250 for the same exact thing. Reluctantly, I bought a pair of hood supports for my 1999 F150. I say reluctantly, because the past two pair I bought from local retailers were abject failures. This company is great. I just drove by there place of business on a Sunday morning to just see where they were located, and they happened to be there. I went inside just to find out if they carried the parts that I needed for my Dodge Magnum. They did and they were in stock. The gentleman that helped me was Brandon and very professional. I called them directly and had a great phone ordering experience with a pleasant and efficient woman whose name I unfortunately don't remember. She told me that although the on-line or Amazon orders were only done in pairs, she could sell me the single strut I needed if I ordered via telephone. The price was just over 1/2 of the price I found online for a pair of struts and still included free shipping. She assured me that that the replacement strut included the ball stud (important because that was the part that failed on my original strut, but I then needed to break that strut off at the upper bracket in order to close the hatch!). The ordering process was as smooth and easy as could be. The price I was quoted ($22) is exactly what my card was charged. I ordered the strut on Monday of Thanksgiving week and it arrived via FedEx ground about 1PM Saturday. I installed it the following day. It took about 15 minutes, about half of which was to remove and re-install my Thule roof-top box. That was necessary to allow opening the hatch fully. (Note: I had pre-soaked the existing hardware with Kroil a few days beforehand to make sure the old strut could be easily removed.) The hardest part was getting the bolts back into the upper bracket. My assistant had to assure the hatch was fully open for me to get the parts aligned closely enough to start the bolt threads. The new strut fit and functioned as it should. I could not be more pleased. read more
