Avoid these guys (Robert / Kooresh) like the plague, even if they offer to do it for $0! Pure incompetence couldn't fix fridge despite charging $1296. Then intentionally, maliciously, and negligently held onto a part they had insisted they had sent for repair, but never did. Didn't have a working fridge for over 9 weeks because of these shameless scammers! Never refunded my money. Ghosted me and ignored all calls and messages (see below for a few). I plan to sue them them as well as report them to all county/state govt resources. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS AT ALL COST. -- Your rep dropped off my fridge's computer board yesterday 3/19, 5 weeks after you pulled it on 2/14 to send it for repair. You did not send the board for repair as you had misrepresented multiple times in writing, but instead intentionally, maliciously, and negligently held onto it. I have paid you $1296 since your first visit on 1/12 for "repair" of my fridge that's been dead since then, and you have clearly failed to provide those repair services. I hereby demand a refund of $1296 no later than 3/22/24 5pm, before I pursue any/all legal remedies at my disposal both against Lightning Appliances and Cooling LLC and against you and Robert personally due to your intentional malicious negligent actions and your personal liability for them; such remedies including but not limited to the cost of repairs performed by a more honest & competent vendor, repair of the custom cabinetry damaged by your rep, and the pain/suffering my family and I have experienced living without this fridge for the past 9 weeks, largely due to your negligence. -- When Robert rang my doorbell just now, I expected him to hand me a check for a full refund of the $1296 that I have paid you for your non-repair of my fridge. But instead, he tried to justify and cover up for him/your intentional, malicious, and negligent actions, having intentionally kept my computer board in your possession from 2/14 thru 3/19. Today he claimed that he did actually send out the board for repair - but could not say when; then he changed his story and said "someone was holding on to it". On 3/19 he told me that he/you did not actually send the board to the repair vendor as an intentional act of retribution! Both those conversations are recorded. Your text message on 2/21 assured me that it "was sent already" and that was also a shameful misrepresentation and further evidence of your negligence. Again, you have charged me $1296 for repair services that you have failed to provide and have also damaged me beyond that due to your intentional, malicious, and negligent behavior, as I've previously advised you. AVOID ROBERT & LIGHTNING APPLIANCE REPAIR NO MATTER WHAT! Robert is, without a doubt, the most incompetent and unprofessional repair person I have ever encountered. I made the mistake of hiring him to fix my oven, and it has been a nightmare from start to finish. After several visits, he still couldn't fix the problem, proving he has no real expertise or clue what he's doing. Instead of admitting his failure, he wasted my time with empty promises and excuses, leaving me with an appliance that is more broken than when he touched it along with a lighter wallet. To make matters worse, when I demanded a refund for his complete lack of service, he flat-out refused. No accountability, no professionalism--just a scam artist taking money for work he can't do. On top of that, he is rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful, acting as if it's the customer's fault that he's terrible at his job. The arrogance is staggering. I've had my refrigerator for over 10 years, so it really was a matter of time before "something" would break. I woke up and thought to myself well "something" is not right when I opened the Fridge. I didn't know where to start in finding a repair person. I reached out to my neighbor and she recommended Bobby. I called him and he showed up a short while later. I found him to be professional, informative and thorough. It ended up being the control board. He took the time to show me where the damage was on the board. He had a replacement, but it wasn't an exact match. He reached out to manufacturer to make sure it was compatible, it wasn't. He found compatible board, but it was out in another county. He drove out there picked up the part and came back. During the time I was waiting, I read the yelp reviews. Truth be told, based on the reviews I might not have called him. I'm glad I didn't think to read the reviews first and trusted in my neighbor's recommendation and now I'm going to be recommending him as well. read more

My 6 year old washing machine stopped working on Tuesday. I found Lightning Appliance Repair through Yelp and called Tuesday night. Rob returned my voicemail in a matter of 10 minutes and was here the next day, Wednesday, to diagnose the issue. Having been skeptical about hiring an appliance repair technician, I did my own research on the issue my washing machine was having and sure enough, it was exactly what Rob had diagnosed. Rob assured me he'd order the necessary parts to fix the issue and would be back to complete the repair. He did just that, today, Friday. He was in and out in about 20 minutes. Rob was communicative, punctual, and honest. I also appreciate the 1 year warranty on the parts and 90 days on the labor.
