A little corner pizzeria. Small but accommodating. Pizza is good. Has a slight sweet crust. Garlic knots are good. This is a great place. People are nice. Sweeter marinara is great with the mozzarella sticks. Overall, if I lived here I would be a repeat customer.

Food was fresh, tasted great and delivery was fast. Prices were reasonable and they were open late.

This pizzeria is quite a bit more expensive then your chain pizza places. It was good but for the price I'd probably not order again.

My boyfriend and I shared a medium margherita pizza, add pepperoni. The crust was delicious - perfect thickness and a great crunch, with nice seasoning. The toppings were also perfect, right amount of sauce, tons of fresh mozz, and fresh basil, and a solid amount of pepperoni. I just ordered inside and they brought it to the picnic table outside for us, but all our interactions with staff were pleasant. It was pretty busy while we were there, both with carry out and on the patio, so it seemed like a consistently good place to grab pizza from. Our meal was just under $30 for the pizza with pepperoni added and a side of garlic sauce. It was plenty for us to share for dinner and my boyfriend had 2 slices leftover for lunch the next day. We would definitely return next time we're in the area!

My husband and I came in around 7:45 on Saturday night, with our munchkins and greeted warmly and taken to a table right away. Our server asked if we had ever been to a Brazilian steak house because the concept was the same. There are two menus, one with all the apps and everything the other with salad and all the pizzas. They bring the appetizers to you and then bring pizza around. We chose the first one to try the wings, salad, bread and, meatballs. I have to say they were all amazing. No complaints. The wings were crispy and well sauced. We did the teriyaki and the lemon pepper and those were some of the best chicken wings I have had in a long time. Juicy, crunchy and, delicious. The salad was crispy and fresh. The meatballs had great flavor and the sauce was perfect for taking the bread and dunking and wiping your plate clean with it. The bread itself was crunchy and light at the same time. So so good. They brought around all different types of pizza. All fresh, all hot and from what I experienced delicious. I tried their margarita, the Hawaiian, pepperoni, calabresa and, stroganoff. Every single one was different but extremely good. The crush was lightly charred and yet still chewy and soft. Their dessert pizzas are amazing. My husband and I tried their brigadeiro, banoffee and, Nutella com Morgano. So, basically chocolate, upon chocolate with sprinkles, dulce du leche with bananas whipped cream and cinnamon and, Nutella and strawberries. I was I heaven. So good and just awesome. Personal favorite was the banoffee with the bananas and whipped cream. Pizza Rio takes the pizza buffet up not one notch but so many. It takes the idea of the pizza buffet that we know and elevates it to a different and almost glamorous level. You don't leave your seat. The pizza and sides are brought hot and delicious to you. It's taken the pizza buffet that we are used to and elevated it. It's a great place for a date or to impress family and friends with a fun and different place to eat with really good food.

I am not a huge pizza fan, but the pizza was so good that we spent another of our valuable vacation evenings going back to Big Daddy's! We did a "design your own" pizza with red bell peppers, onions, pineapple and ham, and it was mouth-watering! Big Daddy's is very much a family place with lots of "help yourself" items (drinks, napkins, etc.), a bit noisy but it is such a delightful place that the noise is almost a part of its charm.

Every vacation develops traditions…read more Some families take a photo in the same spot every year. Some visit the same attraction. Apparently, our tradition is arriving in Gatlinburg and heading to Big Daddy's Pizzeria on the first night. We've been doing it for five or six years now, which means either they're doing something right or we're trapped in a very specific pizza-based time loop. Now before anyone gets carried away, I'm not about to declare this the greatest pizza on Earth. If aliens landed tomorrow and demanded humanity's finest pizza, I'm probably not sending them here. What I will say is this: Big Daddy's consistently delivers a solid meal, and that's exactly why we keep coming back. We started with a Caesar salad. Now, that may sound like a strange thing to praise, but hear me out. Far too many restaurants serve salads so cold they seem to have been stored next to Walt Disney's frozen head. This one arrived at exactly the right temperature. Fresh, crisp, and enjoyable. The dressing, however, could have used a little more personality. It wasn't bad. It just felt like it was playing it safe. I wanted a little more garlic, a little more punch, a little more "Hey! I'm a Caesar dressing!" Then came the bear twists. These were the surprise star of the meal. Made from pizza dough and served with a side of marinara, they were beautifully baked with a fantastic texture. Soft inside, a little crisp outside, and absolutely perfect for pulling apart and dipping into the sauce. If you've never had them, order them. Future You will thank Present You. Then came the pizza. We built our own with mushrooms and ricotta, which turned out very well. The crust was good, the toppings were balanced, and the overall pizza hit the spot exactly the way vacation pizza is supposed to. But I do have one question. And it's an important one. What kind of pizza restaurant doesn't offer meatballs? Seriously. You're serving pizza. You're serving pasta. You're serving Italian-inspired food. And somehow meatballs didn't make the roster? Did the meatballs unionize and walk out? Was there a tragic meatball incident nobody talks about? I don't understand it. We would have absolutely added meatballs if they had been available. Still, that's a minor complaint in what was otherwise another enjoyable visit. Good pizza. Excellent bear twists. A pleasant atmosphere. And another successful kickoff to our Gatlinburg vacation. Four stars. And if Big Daddy's ever decides to add meatballs, I may need to revisit this review and renegotiate.
