Really cool place!! It's all brand new inside. I loved the black and white theme. You got to get there early on the evening or else they might run out of all that good bbq. I got the two items bbq with coleslaw and corn bread. The chicken was a little under cooked for me but the pulled pork was pretty decent. The pulled pork had a little spice to it as well. The corn bread was sweet and very rich. Not too bad. The beets are cold and there is a pretty good selection of local microbrews. The drinks are amazing as well. She got some kind of pink lipstick drink and it was delicious. The staff there ate all top notch!!! I can see this place going a long ways in the future. Drinks, beer and bbq!!! What else more can you want, right?

Tried this place on a whim when we realized some of the other spots down the street only sell alcohol (we were hungry). And I gotta say this is the cutest spot!! It's an old house converted into a restaurant, so the decor is such a good vibe. They have indoor and outdoor seating, a dog friendly patio, a bar, and you order at the counter and wait for your buzzer to alert you the food is ready! I got the pulled pork sandwhich and I'm not usually much of a meat person but it was SO GOOD. Tender fall off the fork pork, covered in an array of sauces that fit the flavor so well. My group ordered the same and we all got different sides: the fries (good but not to die for), the corn salad (I'd skip this personally), and the rice side (so good). The drinks are cheap and yummy too! The service was quick, friendly, and 100% worth it. I will definitely be going back and bringing more fri

I love this spot!! They were out of the brisket by dinner on Saturday but the ribs and the chicken were phenomenal. And the corn salad and corn bread are some of the best I've had. Drinks were not great, it's not often I leave a beverage behind but it was far too spirit forward for a girly beverage in my opinion (lipstick on a pig). Love the outdoor seating.

BBQ was definitely missing from the Vancouver area so I'm very pleased that the owners had the courage to do a full 180 on the menu from vegan to deep-smoked meat. Similar to their other establishments, their food is super tasty and quality so I wasn't really worried there so we were excited to support another new local business! Service was pretty spot-on with any other counter service establishment and the place filled up pretty quickly during lunchtime. Would love to see them offer some decent sweet tea or fresh lemonade along with their BBQ. Excited to try their dinner menu in the near future!

Went to the Lil Pig today with my wife for the first time. This place is a hit in many ways. It is an order at the counter place and then find your seat. We ordered off the lunch menu. I ordered the Porchetta sandwich and she got the pork belly, lettuce and tomato sandwich. The bread was baked in house, the meat was made in house, the veggies on the sandwiches were high quality (for example the tomato was a big, ripe, heirloom variety) the sauce which looked like mustard was a curry sauce which was unique and very good and the bbq was a thin Carolina style vinegar based sauce. I mean nothing was what I expected and yet was outstanding. The menu featured $10 cocktails, which were strong and tasty. I had a margarita and an old fashioned. The margarita was a frozen type from a machine, but definitely authentic, no crappy mix. The bourbon in the old fashioned was pork fat washed and again just not what I was expecting, but very good. The owner Brandon came over personally to check our experience. He was very friendly and just took the time to explain the new menu and details. This place is on the same great level as the Smokin Oak, but in located in Uptown Vancouver. This was the old 3 Howls distillery, and still sells the same spirits to go, so I had to leave with a Lil Pig bourbon for $36. Yet another great restaurant has been added to the Vancouver dining scene!

My partner and I stopped by Lil Pig Lil Pig for lunch yesterday, and first impressions? This place is gorgeous. It's especially amusing knowing that a smokehouse has taken over a space that used to be vegan. Talk about a plot twist. The entire restaurant feels fresh and thoughtfully designed, with a beautiful black Art Deco-style bar, some impressive whiskey selections, and multiple seating areas that make the space feel inviting and comfortable. For those planning a visit, lunch and dinner are separate menus, with the dinner menu starting at 5 PM. During lunch, we ordered the pulled pork sandwich, which honestly ended up being the highlight of the meal. The pork was tender, flavorful, and smoked well. The coleslaw, however, contains peanuts--which completely caught me off guard. Some people may love that twist, but it wasn't for me. We also ordered the beef tallow fries, which unfortunately were the biggest miss of the meal. Ours were very heavy and oily and lacked seasoning. The ranch didn't do much to save them. I also tried the banana pudding, and while I was excited for it, it tasted more artificial banana than homemade pudding, with a lot of whipped cream mixed throughout. One thing worth noting is that the food is served completely à la carte. The sandwich doesn't come with a side, so plan accordingly. Service is another area that may take some getting used to. It's counter service: you order at the register, get a buzzer, pick up your own food, pour your own drinks (at least water and soda), and bus your own table afterward. That's totally fine--many great places operate that way--but the suggested tip options go up to 25%. As someone who absolutely believes in tipping and has spent years in hospitality, I found myself wondering what exactly I was tipping for in this particular setup. It felt a little more like ordering at a fast-casual restaurant than receiving traditional restaurant service. That said, Lil Pig Lil Pig is brand new, and opening a restaurant is no small feat. There are always growing pains. The foundation is definitely there: a beautiful space, quality smoked pork, a promising atmosphere, and ownership that already knows how to create successful, fun experiences. The same team behind Silver Ball Social owns this spot, and I absolutely love Silver Ball Social, which is part of why I was excited to check this place out. The other thing that stood out is that this barbecue can feel a little fussy at times. There's clearly a lot of creativity happening in the kitchen, which some diners will absolutely appreciate, but occasionally it felt like the menu was trying a little too hard to reinvent foods that don't necessarily need reinventing. Barbecue is one of those cuisines where simplicity is often the magic. At times, it felt like they took a pig and gave it a hipster mustache. The menu seems determined to put its own spin on familiar classics, and while some of those ideas may find their audience, I found myself wishing they would trust great barbecue to simply be great barbecue. Still, they're brand new, and finding that balance between innovation and tradition is something many restaurants refine over time. Overall, I'd call this a promising start. Not every dish landed for us, but I'm rooting for them. I'll definitely be back down the road to see how things evolve because Vancouver can always use another great barbecue spot, and this one has plenty of potential.

Great place. Food was amazing. Drinks were on point. Nice staff. Only minus 1 star because it's open seating and have to spend most of your timing hanging out in line to order food. Would have rather spent those 20-30min sitting down with family and friends. Otherwise very cool place. They did walk around taking drink order while I was in line and brought us drinks fast while still in line. For me, will try next time during day and hopefully less busy hours. I prefer more of sitting down and being waited on when dinning out.

Had a delicious meal this evening and while the line seemed pretty long, they were awesome and that they came and offered us drinks while we were in line. My son and I shared a pulled pork sandwich and chose two sides. I really enjoyed the cornbread and the honey butter. Usually, I don't like cornbread at barbecue places because I'm really picky. We also chose a coleslaw type of salad for a second side and enjoyed it too. The pulled pork was delicious. I had some of the coleslaw it is also. The barbecue sauce is very different. It's not the traditional smoky tomato based which I'm used to being from the South. So, I was really skeptical. I have to say I give it a big thumbs up! We really enjoyed our meal. You'll see in the pictures that they do a few things that I thought were really great one is that they give you a pager so that you know when your food is ready and you go pick it up. Two, the napkins are black, which is really nice when you have barbecue because no one I know can eat barbecue neatly and I end up wearing some of it. The third thing is the type of ice they have in their drinks. It's the kind that's the little pellets and it's a favorite of my adult sons. So we were both really happy with our dinner. I would go back.

We ordered items to share with cocktails! Pulled pork sandwich, collard greens, tallow fries, lil pig burger, pork belly, and banana pudding

Our experience at Lil Pig Lil Pig was 10/10! From the fun cocktails to the incredible food and service... we will be back! Brandon and Jackson gave us perfect suggestions on meat items, side dishes, and even a bourbon purchase. See image for specifics...What a great place to be!! Each dish was a standout, worth reordering when we return. Wow!!

The meats were great, the coleslaw was fantastic, but the potato salad was uninspiring. Brisket had a great bark on it but was very moist inside with an excellent smoky flavor. The pulled pork was amazing as well but could have had a little more care getting the chunks of fat out. They had plenty of sauces available--they bring you a basket with four different flavors in extra large bottles. Apply liberally! I loved the horseradish in their coleslaw. I've never seen that done before but it's my new favorite. I'll definitely be trying to replicate that at home. My biggest disappointment was the potato salad. It seemed like it was just scooped from a Reser's tub. Maybe not, I don't know if they make it in house, but that's what it reminded me of. I'm giving four stars instead of five because despite being the only person in the restaurant, it wasn't very clean. I had to wipe down my table and there was a big chunk of brisket lying on the floor. I was also pretty unimpressed with the constant foul language coming from the kitchen staff. I realize I'm in the minority on this but I still believe in keeping the atmosphere of a public place professional and family appropriate. So, all in all, top-notch food with one star off for cleanliness and atmosphere. I would definitely pick up here again but might not eat in, depending on the situation. If you enjoy bbq, give it a try!

The gentleman who runs the place is very friendly. I noticed the price for the special was $12.95 but then he told me it was $14.06 with tax. The sign that he has that states special of the day "brisket sandwich" $12.95 and does not state anything about plus tax at all. So that was a surprise. The other thing the sign does not say it comes with a small bag of lays chips either. I guess the chips he gives you is consolation for the fatty, salty, chewy, fatty small two pieces of brisket he puts on the sandwich. Plus who adds lettuce to a brisket sandwich anyways. I took two bites. The first bite was full of fat and tough chewy, salty brisket. The second bite the whole piece of fatty brisket came out from between the buns and the sandwich eating part for me was over. I left the bun, lettuce and pickles on the to go container and tried to choke down a bite or two of some of the salty, fatty, undercooked brisket that remained. To me, brisket should be tender and you should be able to gently bite into it and you get your bite. This was spongy and too tough to even bite into. Then, I went over to the taco truck and got a quesadilla because I was still hungry and their food was not much better either. Oh well not my day at the food carts in downtown Battleground Washington.
