We we're staying across the street at the AC hotel and arrived late. This is one of the only places open we weren't that excited about going here because it didn't have good reviews. When we walked in though we were pleasantly supplies with the ambiance the food also was pretty good we were happy with most of what we got, Steak David was to die for the spaghetti with meat sause did not disappoint. DO NOT get the meat martini it was GRoSS. I am a dirty gin martini with blue cheese olives girl through and through but this thing was gross. The Manhattan and Cosmo were both good. The one thing we would have given this 5 stars would have been the service. When we arrived the host was standing outside picking up chairs. He then proceeded to have a five minute conversation with another guest while we were just waiting to be seated when we finally receded we requested a different table and he seemed to bothered. Our waitresses was beyond friendly and helpful with selections BUT everything took far to long. We did ask for a rush on the spaghetti for our starving child and it came out in a flash. Terribly disappointing! What successful restaurant would break down the entire gas cooktop at primetime lunch hour? The only answer is one that has no business. The food was horrible. The toxic smell of cleaning and burning off a grill during lunch hour had a lot to be said for the overall experience. The food has gone downhill 100% We became ill over the next couple hours after trying to eat what used to be fabulous eggs benedict. We called in hopes of talking to management about our experience and were assured that we would get a call back. We did not get a call back. We did not get comped at all whatsoever. Went to 13 Coins coffee shop basically of the coffee they serve, Caffe D'arte. I tried them in another place and this place served them. Good coffee as I expected. Hot mocha with extra foam! Really good coffee ! Small place but enough to get your favorite coffee. Some bites to get but I did not. Service was quick. Order and they make your coffee. Nice clean place. Came in on Mother's Day, my friend and I. We were able to snag a seat in the bar area right when we walked in, we were at a small high top which wasn't ideal but it worked. Our server and bartender were super sweet and friendly. We made sure to order quickly since it was busy and thankfully we didn't have to wait too long. We got the chicken and waffle, it was yummy. I like how they threw bacon bits on the dish. We also got an espresso martini and Bloody Mary, which both were good. I'd be open to going back for dinner. read more

I hate leaving bad reviews but the quality and service has gone downhill at 13 Coins. Riding on the coat tails of the OG location in Tukwila, this used to be a hot spot when it first opened at this prime spot. On a Saturday night, with live music playing, the restaurant was almost empty. Two steaks, three sides, three cocktails and a chicken and waffle later, we understood why. It wasnt all bad. The cocktails were great, steaks were cooked well - but the other menu items were off. The brussel sprouts were so overcooked they were black hollow shells. The Caesar salad was mediocre, the poke stack was near perfect except it skimpily came with only 5 tortilla chips which we quickly ran out of. The worst was the fried chicken from their signature dish - which was flavorless, dry and yet soggy - how can that even be possible? When we mentioned this, their solution was to offer to remake it - which we took a chance. Not suprosingly, it came back...exactly the same. Offering the same bad dish as a solution to the first bad dish is not service we expect out of a $350 dinner. read more

I met a new friend for brunch at 13 Coins, and the food was absolutely delicious. Truly standout brunch food. The bacon deserves a special mention--it was some of the best bacon I've ever had. Perfectly cooked, thick, and incredibly flavorful. The French toast was also excellent, cooked just right and very satisfying. From a food perspective alone, this place really delivers. Service was slower than expected during our visit, but my friend mentioned that this is not typical, so it may have just been an off day. The quality of the food more than made up for it, and I'd happily give them another try. Definitely worth visiting for brunch, especially if you're going for the bacon alone. We almost didn't go because of the stars being under 4. But, we saw the comfy chairs and decided to give it a try. I am so glad we did. I have no idea what the stars were saying because they should be so much higher. The food was amazing. The chef and crew were funny and the food was drool worthy. We way over ordered. Lol Our server was Estephan and he was quick, attentive and also very funny. We went in looking for some comfort after a semi hard day and we got laughs and delicious food and great conversation. This is a lesson for me to not believe the stars. The restaurant is actually really nice. Kaitlin our waitress was amazing tonight. She gave us some of the best service ever!!! I was very impressed. We decided to check this place out as I have never been here before. How cool is it they serve breakfast lunch and dinner any time any day. Got to love that. The place have enough room for big parties with one table I saw that could seat up to 40 people I bet. She got a the Pasta Vedrua that has a ton of veggies in it. It was so good and had a wonderful taste to it. We also got the clams that were delicious for an appetizer. The clam juice was so good it was like a lemon pesto. I got the NY Strip. It's was really good. I guess the beef they get there is grain feed from a rancher in the Spokane area My streak was cooked to perfection too. I loved the spaghetti with garlic and butter with it. So good. For $62.00 I wish it would have come with a veggie or a side salad. I overindulge and got the cheesecake for dessert. I really liked the strawberries and sauce they put in it. Had the best biscuits and gravy I've Passover had here this morning. Along with two perfectly cooked over easy eggs and crispy and silky hash browns. My wife had the French toast and she was disappointed the bread didn't get saturated and there wasn't any cinnamon no butter, she didn't want syrup so the lack of supporting flavors was the tale of that meal. You will note that Clay, the manager, responds only to positive reviews. We had lunch there a couple weeks ago as guests of my broker and were not thrilled. My review then said we will give them another chance. Turned out be a mistake. For starters, most of the seating is held together with duct tape. Not good for a place that is this expensive. As far as the food, our pasta meals were very bland and the contents minimal. FOUR prawns in a 50.00 plate!?!? Add to that there is a 4% service fee AFTER tax for no reason other than to inflate the cost. The staff was wonderful and I hope they can hire on some place with a happy/satisfied clientele. Came in a couple times and consistently the food n cocktails never disappoints me. I always have good service when I come in and been happy during all the times. The ambience is moody and feels upscale. The only complaint I have is on weekends it get really busy and kinda hard to hear conversations but thats only on certain nights. The mature female server who worked Sunday (11/16/25) needs to go. She seems like someone just stuck in her ways so a talking-to probably isn't effective. She's not directly rude, but big time passive aggressive. For example, I asked for ketchup, but did not see it in the tiny ramekin amongst all our dishes. Her response (with major attitude), "it's right there in front of you." It was one comment like that after another. Probably the type of employee who believes she provided good service just because she used "please", "thank you", and "sir." Had a really great breakfast here this morning. One of the things I learned about this place is that you can order breakfast lunch or dinner at any time of the day. Which is really cool cause I'm one of those breakfast for dinner type people. Gina took great care of us and was helpful with recommendations from the menu. We shared an eggs, Benedict and a fruit topped waffle, and both were quite good. I like a little bit of lemon taste to hollandaise sauce and did not find this had any, but it was quite good nonetheless. My hashbrowns were very crispy and even though I hadn't requested them that way, that is exactly how I like them! Both very good. The fruit topped waffle came with beautiful fresh berries, including raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, and blueberries, and lots of whipped cream. No syrup needed on this puppy. Our coffee was very good and they kept it filled. The environment in here is wonderful. Each booth has a very tall separator between yours and the next booths, and even the seats at the counter are made so that you have privacy. We look forward to going back here for lunch or dinner sometime soon. read more

Clay, the General Manager, turned an otherwise pleasant meal into a deeply uncomfortable experience. The food was good and the waitstaff were wonderful--polite, attentive, and clearly doing their best. Unfortunately, I witnessed Clay berating one of the waitresses in the walkway, loudly pointing at tables and calling out what seemed like table numbers. His tone, in my opinion, was verbally abusive. He then slammed an object on a table in the small service area where the waitresses were prepping orders. Every time he entered that space, his body language was tense--he'd barge through without acknowledging anyone, speaking in a tone so rude and dismissive it felt like he didn't see them as people at all. The staff visibly shrank away from him, clearly uncomfortable. When I asked to speak with him, Clay addressed my husband and ignored me entirely. I calmly explained that the way he treated his staff came across as abusive and unacceptable. His response was to justify his behavior as "keeping things running smoothly" and to deny that it was abusive at all. I completely understand having a bad day but this was lack of basic respect which clearly showed that it wasn't just a bad day. As someone who's been a manager and a business owner, I believe no one should be treated that way. It was disheartening to watch, and I wasn't the only one who noticed--several other diners left shortly after. The staff deserve better. I do want to add, before posting such a negative review that I asked around the hotel next door we were staying at if anything like this had been reported or mentioned before. Apparently it had but since Clay is responsible for taking any complaints, who knows if the owner is aware. We loved the Indigo Hotel and will stay many more times but we will not be ordering room service as it comes from that restaurant. read more

We went here for New Year's Dinner and it was almost inedible. There is a LOT they should change about this restaurant. We were a fairly large group of 20 but a lot of the food was disappointing. We were seated upstairs and half the time didn't know where we could get service. The server tried to keep up with us but it was a long time before we got food and drink orders. We wouldn't have minded waiting but he didn't even apologize. For one, the bread they bring out in the beginning was cold and dry. They should definitely consider toasting it. The antipasta they serve too is a bit weird. I ordered Veal Masala and I Couldn't finish the meat. It was chewy and almost uncooked. No crispy to the breading. My husband felt the same about the Chicken Parmesan. The Fettucine was also bland. The two things that were decent would be the crab dip appetizer and the spaghettini. Then when all said and done my bill came out to $72.00 for only 1 Omelette 1 Eggs Benedict 1 BLT and 2 coffees and the add a 4% to your service and tips start at 18% NO I will never recommend or back to this place over priced for a small breakfast $72 can go further in a better restaurant. We really liked the 13 Coins up by Seatac. We have been to this one twice now and have not been impressed. Gave it two stars because the service was good. The food deserves 1 star. Out of the wine I ordered. Steamer clams were 1/2 empty and the ones that had clams in them were so small you could barely see them or taste them. They were also sandy. Talked to the waitress and the manager who said basically, that's what we get from the vendor. We'll take care of it. They didn't. Veal parm was heavy on breading and sauce and light on the veal. Wife's coconut shrimp were over cooked as was my friend's chicken parm. All in all, not a satisfying experience and we will never go back again. read more

However, I noticed that utensils, seasonings, salt, pepper, and additional cheese for the Alfredo were not included. Once again, what can I say about 13 Coins?! From New Jersey, I was nearly 3,000 miles away from home. Upon checking into my hotel, I immediately asked the front desk, "what time does 13 Coins open the tomorrow". I went the next day for lunch, and my goodness am I glad that I did. The restaurant smelled amazing and had a wonderful crisp and clean ambiance. For the second time, I sat at the bar in the very comfortable and large chairs that resemble Thrones. I believe they're called Captain's Chairs. I wanted to observe if the last time I was here was just a fluke, or if this restaurant was actually as amazing as I thought it was. The last time I was here, I watched the entire 13 Coins staff get completely slammed by an onslaught of Thanksgiving customers. They were so remarkable during that rush that I had to come back again. The server's name this time was Rachel. She was very kind with a light hearted disposition. She was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout my time there. I wish they were called Customer Caretakers instead of Servers, simply because of the manner in which she cared for me as a guest. Once again, the food was divinely delicious. Very savory, and cooked and seasoned to absolute perfection. I ordered Breast of Chicken Parmigiana, Seasonal Vegetables, Roasted Broccolini, and Garlic Mashed Potatoes, cooked by an awesome chef named Derrick. For dessert I ordered Cookie Extreme. The cookie is made to order, but trust me, it is worth every second of the wait. The manner in which my meal, and the meals I witnessed being prepared and presented for other guests were constructed, was 5 Star quality! Also the drinks were top notch! One chef that I met the last time I was there named Jason, was working in the kitchen again. Really cool guy. He's definitely attentive and makes for a great customer experience. The person I most want to highlight is a gentleman named Kevin. He is also part of the Kitchen staff. I'm not sure if he is a Kitchen Lead, Manager, Sous Chef, or what exactly his position is there, but goodness was he awesome. Not only was Kevin preparing these delicious meals, dressing plates, putting completed orders up for the servers, and seemingly running the entire kitchen, he was also doing "shipping and receiving" of huge boxes of items, reading and reviewing paperwork, preparing the kitchen for the next shift, and communicating with the staff, all while having a full conversation with me. I literally could not believe how efficient this staff works, all while making their guests feel comfortable and welcomed. Also they were cleaning as they go! Using fresh gloves for everything, ensuring ultra cleanliness and no cross contamination. After I was done eating, I just sat there in my seat at the counter for nearly 45 extra minutes. I truly felt like I was with family and didn't want to leave. Kevin made me feel like we had grown up together, and I had only just met him. My final word on 13 Coins: If you are even in the vicinity of Downtown Vancouver Washington, just north of Portland Oregon, 13 Coins is a MUST GO!!! You would only be doing yourself a favor.
