I've had hibachi a hundred times and this place was great!!! The staff was very friendly. This was the first experience our little one will remember and she loved it. We had to take tons of video. She was squealing and giggling and giving our chef the thumbs up the entire meal. We also had two rolls of sushi, one cooked and one raw, as well and they were delicious. I was glad to see this place was not located in the mall. It is a stand alone building. Ten minutes later and my daughter is still talking about the yummy rice! read more

We had a party of 15 which they accommodated nicely with two tables. The staff was real friendly and our cook was very comedic . Plenty of fried rice and vegetables. I ordered the scallops and shrimp combination and received only for scallops was a bit disappointed with the portion size. read more

Went here on a Wednesday night with a party of 5 for Hibachi. Made a reservation for 7:30 via the Yelp app just in case they were busy so we wouldn't have to wait. Checked in about 7:25 and the poor hostess had no clue how long the wait would be. (?) So we went to the sushi bar to wait and grab a roll and some drinks. Great server took care of us but wanted us to check out with her rather than carry the bill over. After about 45 minutes we were called to be seated. Ordered our food (waitress was the sweetest thing ever-wish I remembered her name). Several in our party ordered the "sushi grade" tuna and were told they were out so they switched the order. Apparently the waitress forgot to officially change the order so the ticket the chef had and the ticket at our table didn't match so there was a chef wandering around not sure where he was supposed to go while we waited another 15-20 minutes. I spotted what looked like a manager and followed her back to the kitchen asking if we could please have a chef. That prompted her to identify the problem and we were assigned the chef who was wandering. The waitress got a talking to and didn't come back for quite some time but still had the best attitude. Side note: the whole time she was gone our drinks were waiting at the bar behind us. My husband had gone back to find the waitress from the bar and settle up as we never saw her again and she didn't come looking for us. The chef was great and the food was as good as I've ever had at Hibachi. Was it worth the wait? I mean I guess since we're on vaca with not much else going on and wanted hibachi but had I known making a reservation wouldn't speed up the wait and we'd wait at least an hour I'd have chosen another place. They seem highly disorganized and while busy for a Wednesday I'd be scared to see what a weekend looks like. If I could give 3.5 stars based on the service and the food I would, but the disorganization brings the whole experience down, imho. read more

Hibachi was entertaining and delicious. The salmon and Veggies were very fresh! Highly recommend this place - you will have tons of leftovers as the helpings are huge. read more

I ordered the Salmon and Ribeye combination, while my boyfriend ordered the Filet and Chicken. While the sushi was great, the meat in our entrees lacked seasoning. My boyfriend and I are Sushi fanatics and love trying new places when we travel. We came here on a Friday night and were expecting some delays due to how busy it was being the end of the week, but NEVER expected the service we received. We sat in the area that wasn't apart of the hibachi tables, knowing we were just going to get a couple rolls of sushi. There is NO exaggeration when I say I waited for 35 minutes for a seaweed salad that I had ordered as an appetizer. Come to find out, there was only ONE server in the main two non-hibachi sections. We are very understanding people, given I work in a restaurant and know how busy Friday nights get and how hectic they can truly be, but this was ridiculous. There was no communication between kitchen and floor staff, and our waitress only apologized about everything AFTER we gave her the check. Very disappointed she didn't come at all through out the night to actually check up on us.. Just to deliver the food when it finally came out. While I don't live in the myrtle beach area, I will not be going back if I find myself around there. read more

Went to this restaurant on January 2, 2021 and though the food was great the service was terrible. We received our salad, soup and entree before we were given drinks. This is unacceptable. I've had Lil Tokyo bookmarked for a while before we headed to Myrtle Beach for vacation. I read a lot of reviews and decided we would try this restaurant when we got here. We tried sushi for the first time. It was ok for me. The wife and kids didn't enjoy it. Not because of quality but it just wasn't for them. Afrida was our server and I didn't get the chefs name but both did an excellent job and made us feel very welcome. The hostess brought our 5 yr old a balloon sword. The food was amazing. We came for the early bird and the portions was plenty for us. We took leftovers with us. This will be a regular on our vacation trips to Myrtle Beach. Definitely recommend this for anyone read more

I have been here several times with my girlfriend. We enjoy going here before going and seeing a movie at the mall. When this place is slow the service to us has been pretty fast but on the couple occasions that they are busier they can be...VERY slow. The hibachi dinners are very good, they definitely do make good food. The soup is good, salads are usually just greens and are pretty cold. I enjoy ordering a LIT during my visit and I must say they make them strong(good strong) and they are very consistent with them. read more

Portions are very large. The sauces were excellent and apparently home made. Huge sushi selection. Large restaurant with multiple hibachi tables. Fortunately they have a dining room where you can get a hibachi meal without sitting through the kitschy show. Pretty noisy. Decent reasonably priced bar. Lots of free parking. Quick friendly service. Only real negative is that they suggest tip amounts based on the after tax bill total. This is absurd when you consider Myrtle Beach has a 11.5% sales tax on restaurant meals. read more

Food was amazing service was out of this world. The dancing eel sushi roll was one of the best sushi rolls I've ever had. The meats were cooked to to perfection. The vegetables and the rice were also very nice. The yum yum sauce was well done the ginger sauce was great The sauces here are the boss. Our waiter, Edward, AKA Chuck Norris did a great job. i came here for vacation in myrtle beach with my family after noticing it in the coastal grand mall and i have to say its a must go to place to eat if you're shopping here. the sushi was fresh as it gets no doubt but we also had the hibachi where they cook in front of you. kenny our chef was very entertaining from the beginning til the end and his food was very delicious so if anyone decides to come around the mall make sure to stop by here and try this place out!! i highly recommend it and we will definitely come back and eat here again when we're in town read more
