    Salmon lunch special

If you're visiting the Grand Coastal Mall in Myrtle Beach and find yourself craving Japanese cuisine, this restaurant just outside the mall is absolutely worth a stop. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between relaxed and refined... setting the tone for what turns out to be an exceptional dining experience. The food is truly the highlight. Every dish arrived beautifully presented and full of flavor. I ordered the steak lunch special and my husband ordered the salmon lunch special. We also ordered California roll. What elevates the experience even further is the service. The staff is consistently warm, attentive, and highly professional. Drinks are refilled promptly and orders are handled efficiently and there's a noticeable level of care in every interaction. If ever I come back to Myrtle Beach, I would definitely come back to this restaurant.

Great happy hour! I enjoyed my rum and coke and sushi rolls. Delicious ams friendly service

My friend and I just wanted good sushi. After searching many reviews we decided to try out Lil Tokyo. The staff was kind and attentive. A pretty large menu focusing on hibachi and the sushi. We would rate this as ok. Not terrible but not the best either, which was a little disappointing for the prices. But overall an okay spot to get sushi.

We were seated right away. We ordered hot sake and got plenty for 8.00. You get soup salad and two grilled shrimp with the hibachi. The soup was clear with a couple thin slices of mushroom and tasted like chicken broth. The salad is mini sized and was smothered in way too much dressing the lettuce was swimming in it. The hibachi was excellent and served with three sauces; Sriracha , ginger, and white sauce. The hibachi was served with rice, noodles, and mixed vegetables all cooked on the hibachi grill and cooked perfectly. Individual portions were enough to have leftovers to eat a second meal with. There was only 3 in our party and 18% gratuity was automatically charged on to bill so make sure you look at the restaurant copy not the customer copy because it is not listed on it but you are charged it.

We found this place when we were in Myrtle Beach in March and made a return visit we loved it that much. They have hibachi tables that you can sit at for the full experience or sit in the bar area if you want to just order sushi or a la carte items from the menu. When you check in on Yelp you get an offer for a free Japanese Egg Roll. GET IT!!!! You will not be disappointed. We got the American Dream Roll and the Shrimp Lovers Roll. Both are excellent and the American Dream roll is so unique with the yum yum sauce on it. Service started off good but then it went down hill when he threw chopsticks on to the table and nearly dropped our appetizer onto the table. All in all a good meal and will definitely be back again.

Hi Everyone, If you…read morelive to eat as many my of my Italian friends do, Villa Romano's succulent fare, will put that curl in your hair. This restaurant was a surprise from our oh so friendly, engaging, interesting and very accomplished Accordion Virtuoso, Mike. To our very enthusiastic, lovely, patient, Server Berkley. To our food which was divine. To the "Old World" Italian environment, kinda like Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, without the human statues that move ever so slightly, but just enough to to make you feel, something is a miss, but what??? Man, that drove me crazy. Also, you want to go here to dine because their competing Restaurants in the area feel having you wait in very long, well over an hour and a half lines, just to get in satisfies their need not to take any reservations. Hun...? Yep, they're fine having Aunt Susie's makeup looking like Mark Shostrom, the Master Makeup Artist from the horror series "A Nightmare on Elm Street" movies, put it on for her. We all know also, because while we tried our best not looking at how Aunt Susie's makeup was contorting her face, it was like trying not to look at a car wreck. I even laid 7-5 odds that her false eyelashes would become a moustache, and won, while we all did exactly that to satisfy my beautatious date's Cousins' from Reno, fish wish, in Myrtle Beach. We stood in the lines outside, in the evening heat, at three different restaurants that we tried. Please remember to bring water, you'll feel better while you wait, wait, wait again, and then really wait, as if Mosses is going to appear from on high with the Ten Commandments. Instead it's, "Your table is ready" as you try to wake Grandma from her heat induced coma. While Villa Romano's bait, is to actually take your reservation and instead, have you relax on your tushy while having a cocktail in their comfortably A/C filled delightful ambience while you relive your day's perspective with friends and Family ("No, you missed it. First he...", ya know), while Mike fills the air with his sweet mellifluous musical notes floating by you for your audio pleasure, much like the feather in Forrest Gump. Their appetisers looked awesome however, this is an "Old World" Italian restaurant that offered their minestrone soup, and their Caesar salad which came with our meals, was very tasty, and paired very well with the bottle of wine from their varied, and well selected wine list, which we all shared. First, I read some of Villa Romania's great reviews on Yelp, before making a reservation, most especially, because I did not want anyone to have to repeat "THE LONG Lines" at our Fried Fish Palace, lol experience from two nights earlier. All of our entrees pictured below, were savoy, aroma enticing, tastebud thrilling, flavor forward, and exceeded all our sensory expectations which helped us all unwind while really enjoying our evening out together as it unexpectedly, evolved into an event for us all. While all their deserts sounded wonderful we were all completely full. But on our next visit, tiramisu, ice cream, and cannolis for all. So it's expensive, right? That is a great question Poindexter, but wrongo, my parsimonious friend. It was again, surprisingly affordable, and "I shall return" as General Douglas MacArthur once said. Why? Because sometimes you just can't find what will work for everyone, and that feels and tastes, just right. That's it! That is Villa Romana Restaurant, and we all were so gleeful and happy we discovered that fact in our visit to Myrtle Beach, SC. Manga... Enjoy!

I was a bit skeptical because we passed it a few times on our way to different places in town, and from the outside you couldn't tell that it served upscale cuisine. But it had great reviews so we took a chance. Ambience: The inside was dimly lit with an old school feel. Reminds you of an old school New York establishment from the 80's. I liked it. It had a welcoming feel and I noticed there were at least two regulars the staff greeted. Food: We ordered an appetizer of calamari and the short ribs. Additionally, I was going to get the salmon but they had a special of red snapper with lump crabmeat, green beans and rice. The food was delicious. The calamari was one of the best I have ever tasted. The addition of the fried peppers complimented the dish well. They were nicely fried and seasoned. Very light crust which I love. Sadly I didn't get a chance to taste the short ribs because I was just too enthralled in my dish. The snapper was perfection! Everything on the plate paired well together. Also, if you're not going for an alcoholic beverage, their freshly squeezed lemonade is so refreshing. Service: I'm truly bad about remembering names and as is my usual, I don't recall the name of the waitress, but she was truly attentive and nice. She was also knowledgeable about the food and patient. Truthfully, all the waitstaff seemed genuinely kind towards the patrons, which was nice. If I am ever in the Myrtle Beach area again I will definitely be going back. Loved it!

The food was incredible -- I had a filet mignon, green beans and mashed potatoes, and it was all perfectly cooked to order. My husband had short ribs and said they were wonderful. The meal was not cheap at all, but considering we spent $60 on a breakfast buffet somewhere else (and inflation in 2026,) we knew that was coming. Definitely the place to go to celebrate. It was an experience to remember!

In all the years since we left Italy I have been to many supposedly Italian restaurants and been disappointed. I was so impressed and surprised when we arrived and once I tasted my food and saw the joy on my family's faces as they began to eat I knew we finally had found that gem we had been looking for! Even my coffee at the end took me back to Italy. The owner of the restaurant came to check our table himself and was Italian and so well spoken.
