    Homemade biscuit

Food was wonderful for a nice in the cut breakfast spot. You can get the eggs however you want them. Unfortunately the servers were not as friendly and it affected my experience . Maybe because it was really busy on Valentine's Day and they were overwhelmed. Regardless the food was good

The "Popeye" with wheat toast and coffee; just awesome!!!
    Jason S.

Food is always great and portions are substantial. Service is great every time- I usually sit at the counter when it's just me but there is plenty of seating in front and in back of the place. Ordered the "Popeye," which is my go to breakfast (spinach, bacon, mushrooms all on top of home fries). A MUST with breakfast is their homemade salsa which is hotter than hell; but SO DAMN GOOD! This place is a Grover Beach institution- come here and eat well!

    Good

Food 10/10! Service 10/10! Would recommend !!! Will be coming back again!!! Found it on yelp and the reviews did not disappoint!!!

Amazing home made food! The country scramble and Popeyes scramble will keep us full til dinner! Great coffee but best of all service is on point!

The prices here are really good. The food is really great. The bacon and the sausage are cooked the way I enjoy it not super crispy and crunchy but just good pancakes were great eggs were on point and the potatoes were really good too. There was one server to handle the whole restaurant so you can't complain about things that take long but everything was quick and fast. Definitely coming back here when I'm back in town.

    Monte Cristo Sandwich
    Mauricio G.

This sandwich is hands down one of the best I've ever had! It was my first time trying the Monte Cristo, and wow, the homemade jam and French toast flavor were amazing. It's definitely a 5-star sandwich, and the service was even better. Our waiter was so polite, courteous, and attentive; she deserves 5 stars too, and the place was small and nice very welcoming, homey type of feeling. My daughter had the meat lovers omelette with French toast, and she loved it too. I highly recommend this place to anyone thinking about eating here.

Bbq chicken wrap ( he added the fries ) so yummy!
    Lynn G.

This place never disappoints! Service is excellent, the place is cozy and comforting but the best part is their food! Our go to is the biscuits and gravy! And even though I try to deviate I always end up having the Eggs Benedict! We love when we come to visit Grover , we always make it to Lil' Bits!

My soyrizo con papas and eggs and tortilla. Heaven!
    Julie C.

Thank you Yelp for recommending this wonderful breakfast spot. It was literally a walk down hill from our Air BnB. Service is fast and cheerful. We chose to eat outdoors on the pation and enjoy the morning air. The portions are massive and the food is delicious. I had the wonderful soyrizo con papas which came with a warm corn tortilla. My daughter raved about her Florentine Eggs Benedict. So good!

    Bacon mushroom avocado omelet

Food: 3/5 I ordered the bacon, mushroom and avocado omelet. It was a decent size and had a good amount of bacon, cheese and mushrooms. My potatoes were a bit cold and my wheat toast was very cold. My husband ordered the spicy crisp chicken sandwhich. It was alright. The portion was very small. The wavy fries were somewhat warm. Both of our meals were nothing crazy. They were overpriced for something simple. I would say that the only meal that was well done was my infant's meal. Although the egg looked kind of dirty from the grill. But the pancakes were so fresh and hot. Our servers were friendly and brought our food and drinks in a good wait time. Ivan was very attentive to details and made sure to include my infant when checking on us. Ambiance: 4.5/5 The outside table where we sat had shade but the table and chairs were a little unkept. BE ADVISED: They charge $1.50 on your tab for egg shortage. They don't let you know on their menu or when they take your order. They only have a sign near their register. The bathrooms are small and decent. Parking is available on site but it could fill up and you have to park in the neighboring streets. Wait time was around 10 minutes.

Are we back to a new normal where we can eat at the counter again?

I believe so. When I ate there a little while back we sat at the counter

What do you put in your gravy? We don't eat pork so I wanted to ask ahead. Everything looks delicious!

I believe it's sausage gravy. Most breakfast gravy is made with either sausage or bacon grease.

We checked in and was seated within 10 minutes at a booth that overlooked the beautiful views of the Pismo Beach coast line. Our server, a younger black woman, who told us her nickname was 'TiTi', if I'm not mistaken, was wonderful. Her personality and hospitality was infectious and exceeded 5 stars. She brought us fresh hot corn and flour tortillas with a small cup of brown sugar butter and three different salsas to try. Everything was delicious. We ordered the surf and turf special which was a jumbo shrimp on top of a filet mignon that rested on mash potatoes and a creamy/savory white sauce. We also ordered the lobster Mac and cheese. Everything was exceptionally good. My only takeaway would be that I found the food, especially the lobster Mac and cheese to be pretty salty. Definitely excited for my next visit.

The thing that originally got me hooked on this place was their clam chowder. An ex-girlfriend brought some back for me to try, and it ended up being one of the best clam chowders I've ever had. That alone made me want to come try the restaurant in person. Now, every time I visit, it's a must-order. Honestly, it's better than any other place in Pismo Beach that claims to have the best. Zorro's is the one that actually delivers. Beyond the chowder, it's a full Mexican restaurant with a wide menu. They bring out chips and salsa to start, and they also have their own house-made hot sauce on every table, which is a nice touch. The food across the board has been consistently good. This last visit, my girlfriend had the carnitas tacos, and I ordered the shrimp diablo plate. I've also had their fish and chips, enchiladas, tacos, and burritos on previous visits, and I haven't had a bad meal yet. They also have a solid drink selection, including Mexican beers, good cocktails, and especially strong Bloody Marys and micheladas. The service has always been reliable. Even when it's busy, the staff checks in often enough to keep drinks filled and make sure you have what you need, including more chips and salsa. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, and parking is pretty easy since it's all street parking nearby. You're usually only a short walk away. If you're in Pismo Beach and like Mexican food, this place is definitely worth a stop. And seriously, don't skip the clam chowder. It's the standout.

He had tried it before, so this was my first time here. As I looked over the menu everything sounded good and pics of the food helped me make my final choice for lunch. The service was excellent, the cashier was friendly and patient with us ordering (since it was my first time here). We decided to sit in the patio area since it was nice day, even though there was a little bit of construction noise next door, it didn't take away from hearing the great music selection. Moments later a server brought out the food, everything smelled and looked delicious. He ordered fish N' chips w/upgraded garlic fries, (we love garlic fries!) some of the best garlic fries we've had, every bite was garlicky & dipped in ranch...mmmmm perfect combo. The fish was tender but crispy bites from the batter. I ordered the Pismo wrap (could be shared), I was not expecting it to be so packed with all the fillings. It was stuffed with sliced tri-tip, curly fries, avocado, pepper jack cheese, and bbq sauce. Every bite was so satisfying, flavorful and had a little bit of everything. Some saltiness from the fries to sweetness from the bbq sauce, well balanced (I did add some cholula sauce because I enjoy some spiciness). Definitely added as a stop when doing a day trip to Pismo. I'll be recommending friends/family to make a stop at Hoagies if they're ever in the area and they're looking for a chomp because a bite isn't enough. So after all the shopping/walking, pick up some Hoagies and head to the beach (which is walking distance), because great food deserves a great view!

I decided to give Hoagie's a try -- I usually go elsewhere for my cod wrap when in the area. I…read morerequested the cabbage and tomato instead of curly French fries inside the wrap -- and fries came on the side, anyway. The counterperson taking my order kept saying lettuce, and I repeated a few times, you mean cabbage, since that's what is written on the menu, and they seemed a bit confused.. But it did come with lettuce, not cabbage (?). Hmm. The fish was okay, but not fried to enough of a crisp, so it was not crunchy. It was also a relatively small amount of cod in the the burrito wrap. I say burrito wrap as the tortilla was pretty thick and barely toasted. I did see other patrons sitting at the tables with much toastier-looking wraps, and it looked like the steak wrap came in a wheat tortilla. So is there more than one kind of tortilla? The tartar sauce was middle of the road and there was not enough of it in the wrap for my tastes - I like sauce. But I could not get more for the side, as the line was out the door by the time I discovered I could use more tartar sauce! So while it was fine, and the fish seemed fresh, I was somewhat disappointed, and did not munch this wrap with the zeal that I do the one from the other locale in town where I typically buy the killer cod wrap. The curly fries were good and well salted. Lots of people sitting outside; tables could've been cleaned better. Maybe staff should come out and wipe them down periodically.
