I must say this was probably the best breakfast I've ever had. The place is tucked away in a dingy little shopping center so first impression was this place looks a little sketchy. But since it was packed and the Yelp reviews were good we decided to go for it and I'm so glad we did! Came back here for the third time in the food is amazing! Some of the best breakfast that I have had and I have been to many restaurants over the years. If you're in the area or local you have to try this place. It even has all you can eat breakfast potatoes. Biscuits and gravy are the bomb! I really wanted to like this place, but... It's tucked away in a sad kind of 1950s mini strip mall just a half block off of Grand Avenue. Once you open the door you're greeted with fresh faces and warm smiles and a cheery hello. Normally, this would be my kind of place! Unfortunately, the dining area is so grubby from the walls and floors to the sticky table top and the schmutz covered ketchup bottle that I almost bailed. However, I stuck it out to see if the Yelp reviews of the food are accurate in my opinion. We ordered an omelette and the French toast with a small side of biscuits and gravy. The omelette was good, cooker perfectly. The rest was just ok. I sure hope the owners of lil bit read this because they have a really great staff and a solid flow of customers and that is not easy to do in this part of the country. Please clean the joint up and put out the great food you are known for because the meal I had was not good enough. I'll try it again, but only after I see it cleaned up a "lil bit". read more

Walked in and started to worry, because it's a tiny little place. Then we noticed it was very crowded and the fresh baked biscuits on the rack in the back. AMAZING!!! I've heard so much about this hole in the wall breakfast joint and I finally got around to trying it this morning. So mad I haven't gone sooner!!! The service was amazing and they lead us to some great decisions like the chorizo burrito that will change your life, the best chorizo I've ever had and they make it themselves. The biscuits and gravy are on a whole other level I don't know what kind of magic they sprinkle in their biscuits but they're incredibly fluffy and so flavorful!! What a wonderful breakfast place! Another one of those: thanks-to-yelp situations! The three of us had two Country Fried Steaks and the Corned Beef Hash. All of the plates were licked clean. Actually, inside is somewhat cramped, but I guess there is a larger dining area just past the booths. Wait was short, and the staff kept us updated even though they were busy. clean light joint with a surprise extra room in the back. This is not a fancy place, its just a down home stick to your ribs breakfast joint. corned beef hash, great toast, great potatoes, eggs cooked perfectly, hash.... well it was ok, but I'm pretty picky, and I really prefer the shredded style instead of their mushy version. Wifey had some biscuits and gravy, really great B&G! and the bacon was nice and thick sliced with good smoky flavor. Solid. I'm picky about coffee (I roast coffee beans at home) I didn't like the coffee here. The OJ tasted fresh though, really good OJ. Good service too. Oh yeah, make sure to ask for the house jam, that day it was berry jam and it was fresh , tasty and nearly gone by the time we got it. I wanted more, lots more. I'd eat here again. read more

The family & I decided to brunch before leaving town. Easy parking and plenty of outdoor tables. Each table had its own umbrella for plenty of shade. Found this place randomly and the food was simply amazing. The menu is simple but everything is nicely executed. The home fries they serve with their eggs are my favorite. They are nicely browned, crunchy and delicious. Scrambled eggs are nicely caramelized outside and still very fluffy inside. I like my eggs over hard so it's perfect to me. Even the biscuit is executed perfectly and really crumbly. Do ask for home made salsa and jam to go with your eggs and toasts. read more
