Omg! The chorizo breakfast burrito was off the hook! Delish!!!! Was passing by this location on a road trip. Wish it was by my house.

This was my first visit, on Independence Day, so it was super crowded. That said, we waited only a short time for a table, and the food came out pretty quickly for such a busy time. Three different servers stopped by our table to make sure all was well; seems like teamwork was needed to handle the crowd, and they had it handled. The food: the OJ was huge and had yummy pulp. The coffee was good diner coffee. The Momlet was perfectly done, and I had leftovers. The French toast was French bread, cooked nicely all the way through. We're going to go back for lunch sometime. This is a hole-in-the-wall place, but worth looking for! read more

AMAZING!!! I've heard so much about this hole in the wall breakfast joint and I finally got around to trying it this morning. So mad I haven't gone sooner!!! The service was amazing and they lead us to some great decisions like the chorizo burrito that will change your life, the best chorizo I've ever had and they make it themselves. The biscuits and gravy are on a whole other level I don't know what kind of magic they sprinkle in their biscuits but they're incredibly fluffy and so flavorful!! I love supporting local breakfast restaurants and I'm already excited to visit again. Best breakfast in SLO county hands down!!! read more

Greasy spoon. When I pointed out my order was incorrect the waitress replied, "our sausage is good" instead of replacing it with bacon as ordered. $15 for 2 eggs (the menu states 3), 2 dried up sausage links and 2 undercooked pancakes. Go elsewhere. read more

The family & I decided to brunch before leaving town. Easy parking and plenty of outdoor tables. Each table had its own umbrella for plenty of shade. Hands down the waitress was so kind, attentive, & just awesome. The food was great. The hubby had three eggs & bacon with hash browns. I had the breakfast sausage burrito with salas on the side. The salad was tasty and had a kick to it. Both our dishes turned out to be fantastic. Next time we roll into town, we'll be coming back. read more

Best breakfast I have had in a long time. I loved the homemade biscuits and jam. The salsa was hot and delicious. Service could of been better they ignored me and never asked if I needed anything after my meal was served. They also took quite a while to get my order even though I was ready. My husband and I went here for the first time on Halloween morning, and fell in LOVE! We sat at the little bar, and were greeted with the NICEST, most bubbly server. She was so cute, and made us felt like we've been there millions of times, like we're family. We ordered omelets, I got the veggie and the home fries, a side of sausage links, and a biscuit. YUM! We couldn't stop eating our food, it was so good, we didn't have to eat anything the rest of the day. I asked for hot sauce, and not only did the server bring me a selection of hot sauce, but also their homemade salsa, which was HOT! I was in heaven. Also homemade jam for the biscuit. It was perfect, not too sweet. The boy got the biscuits and gravy, and thoroughly enjoyed them. The coffee was great, and served in individual mugs from different cities, etc. I was Las vegas, hubs was New York. We are making this a weekly breakfast spot, it felt like home. read more

Love this place I've gone 3 times and every time they service is pretty quick and the staff are all really great! It is definitely small so if you have a large party of..I would say 6 or more then it might be pretty cramped. Great food and the prices are affordable! read more

This small casual dining beach town cafe is doing it right, while here on business I realized quickly that they have a tremendous amount of regulars of all ages and walks of life, and they know them by name, a good sign of excellent customer service. I ordered the chicken sandwich while a coworker ordered the cheeseburger infused with some kind of Portuguese sausage. While those choices were decent (not anything to rave about but still good)... The homemade jam and salsa was excellent. Next time I'm in PB I'll be coming here for the French toast and lots of jam. 3.5 stars for me... Great service and friendly staff! I can see why there's so many regulars and high Yelp reviews. I ordered the French toast, egg, and sausage link (which I substituted instead of ham) combo. I was debating whether I wanted the French toast or hot cakes but the waitress recommended the toast. It wasn't anything special but still yummy and filling. Found this place randomly and the food was simply amazing. The menu is simple but everything is nicely executed. The home fries they serve with their eggs are my favorite. They are nicely browned, crunchy and delicious. Scrambled eggs are nicely caramelized outside and still very fluffy inside. I like my eggs over hard so it's perfect to me. Even the biscuit is executed perfectly and really crumbly. Do ask for home made salsa and jam to go with your eggs and toasts. read more

Finding this place was one of the best parts of our vacation. We are always willing to try different places and this seemed like it fit what we were looking for. The place is small but they have another area in the back of the restaurant. The service was great and is family owned/operated. We had a party of 8 and they took good care of us. All of the food was good and freshly made. The only downfall is that the owner is a San Francisco Giants fan. Being in this region and me being a Dodgers fan was difficult. But the owner was gracious enough to still serve us! We had a great time with the family and will return. read more

I am not a breakfast person and I LOVE this place. They have a dish just for me called the "I don't care for eggs plate." It's a fairly small place so can get a bit busy but we have never had to wait more than 10 minutes. The place is family run and the service is wonderful. Our waitress' are always in the best of moods and so accomodating. They don't mind tweeking your order a bit to make it just right for you. The biscuts and gravey is mouth watering. We were so happy to be introduced to this hidden little gem and don't have to think twice about making the trek from Santa Maria to Arroyo Grande just to indulge in it's splender. read more

My family and I were excited to try the food here after reading all of the great reviews. Unfortunately we weren't all that impressed. The service was great and our server Amy did a fine job! The food however was lacking....lacking in a big way. I ordered the chicken fried steak with my eggs over medium and substituted the toast for a biscuit and gravy (For a $2 up charge). First off the chicken fried steak was not homemade, it was one of those frozen premade jobs and it wasn't very good. The potatoes or "home fries" as they call them we're complete garbage. I can't believe they serve such chewy yet burnt and cold potatoes. They seriously tasted like they were left over from the day before and reheated. The eggs were ok and the biscuit was mediocre. The gravy along with the rest of the meal was cold and almost paste like. My wife had the pancake breakfast with bacon and eggs over hard. Her entire meal was mediocre at best while everything was slightly overcooked and burnt...even the pancakes! My son had the ham and cheese omelet and while it was quite good, he also had the same garbage potatoes. This kid loves potatoes and usually gobbles them up. He had exactly one bite of these and wouldn't touch them again. The strawberry jam was yummy and was actually one of the better part of the meals we had. Needless to say for the price they charge and the poor quality food, we won't be returning. read more

Amazing lil family owned breakfast joint just blocks from the beach. I really enjoyed my jesses western omelet. My server was attentive and on top of my drinks and order. I believe she was the bosses daughter. I was sat at the bar area very quickly. My food came out fast and tastes amazing. I'd definitely recommend this place if you're in the area. One of the top 2 places to have breakfast in town and Best Biscuits and gravy in the 5 cities, gravy had some flavor but was too thick, biscuits were fluffy and soft unlike the other places around town who serve microwaved rock hard hockey pucks. Being from the south I would not say the biscuits were flaky but more spongy like corn bread but still really good(I really need to someone in this town how to make a proper biscuit). Huge portions and awesome salsa. I ordered the chicken fried steak and it was very tasty. Wife got a burger and and it looked pretty good so I stole a bite and I have no complaints. We ordered a kids french toast for the youngin and it was huge and perfect. Im definitely going back. We had found them via Yelp and after the first meal, we went back the second day. I love a good diner. It is a hole in the wall type of place, and they have plenty of seating in the back. The staff was very friendly, our server remembered us from the day before and you just felt comfortable here. They have what I think is possibly the best linguisa I have ever had, being Portuguese, I have had a lot of linguisa. It is sourced by a local company. This will be my go to diner. read more

A little tucked away but still easy to find place. Lots of parking space but in a narrow area.Your local fares kind of place. The restaurant is actually much bigger than you'd expect from the front since there's a room tucked around the back that seats plenty. Wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable with quick hands and a warm smile. There's a quick turn around here with lots of families coming through so don't be expecting the most spotless place you've ever been at. This is a family place that serves breakfast. Order the country friend steak, it was juicy, well breaded, and quite good. Come with country potatoes that probably could use another minute or two on the grill, and beautifully toasted bread. (Can't rave enough about the sweet sourdough we got.) Eggs were done over medium with a good texture to them. The waffles looked amazing with crispy outside topped with lots of whipped cream and strawberries. And like their bread, it was very good without being too doughy. It was quite a delight. The Eggs Benedict was a bit of a surprise. Instead of the traditional English muffin on the bottom, you get home made flaky biscuits instead. Separate, they would have tasted fantastic. The biscuits were light and fluffy, crumby to the fork and just lightly salted enough to take on gravy or butter. But it was quite drown out by the hollandaise sauce from the Eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was homemade, pretty creamy but no rich enough for my taste since it left very little impression on me except that it was soaked up by the biscuits underneath and the biscuits couldn't hold the weight and fell apart. The eggs were perfectly done and the ham beneath it held up well against the sauce since it wasn't too salty or anything. I'd probably order something else next time. Over all, this was a nice little peace to grab a quick breakfast at to begin out day. Went there on Saturdays and it was never too overly crowded so that was a nice little bonus. read more

The name of the place more so describes the size of the restaurant rather then the serving portions (*as seen in photo). The food is like good time down to earth home cooking! Love love little ol' fashion diner like this. When you walk in, you feel the friendly and familiar atmosphere. Cheerful and very attentive servers. Eating on the counter is the only way to enjoy diners imo. I had the omelette, which was full with chunky and perfectly cooked veggies and sausage. Great hashbrown, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. To top it all, thick cut wheat toasts (not thin flimsy ones) with homemade mixed berries preserve, YUM!! read more
