One of the most popular locations, this branch is ideally situated next to Macy's at Ala Moana Center. Its convenient location, ample free parking, and easy access are definitely major attractions. However, be prepared for slower service during peak hours. We had to repeatedly ask for water refills, pancake syrup, extra napkins, and other basic items. There were plenty of servers on duty, but several seemed more engaged in chatting with one another than paying attention to customers who needed assistance. I hope this review brings these noticeable service shortcomings to management's attention. With better attentiveness and customer service, this location could provide an experience that matches its excellent location and popularity.

The food is so addictive and good--especially the buns --it's definitely worth a try! Mushroom chicken is so so . Service is great. Everyone is really nice and attentive, but it was really busy inside. Had to wait about 40 minutes so make sure to get there early or make reservations But charging $3 for a single bun cut in half is pretty crazy when you can down the whole thing in one bite.

This location is located within the Macy's. The guava iced tea was super refreshing. The chicken karaage was good. I loved their corn The mac and cheese side was not a fave for me. I also wasn't a fan of the syrup they served with the butter roll. Overall, this is a spot where you can get seated fast and get good portioned food. The dishes I ordered missed the mark for me but I would love to go back to try more off their extensive menu.

My friend brought me here for lunch so we could try their lunch menu. We started with the pastries and cream puffs, which were a nice treat, but I'm really glad we also tried the oxtail soup and prime rib entrees. Everything was packed with flavor. The steaks were huge, cooked well, and very flavorful. Definitely a satisfying meal and I'll be coming back to try more items from their menu. I have to say, some of the pastries were a little sweeter than I personally prefer, but I'm still glad I got to try them. The Dubai chocolate one definitely stood out and was my favorite from the bunch. Worth trying if you enjoy rich and sweet desserts.

If you want Filipino fusion food, this is the place!!! One of the best Filipino / Hawaiian restaurant in the island!!! The people are so genuinely friendly and welcoming. They smile and very sincere! The one by Macy's is the best one I've seen and very convenient! Has a very spacious dining and the bakery is full of pastries and sweet treats just lying there on a big table for everyone to enjoy.

Highly recommended spot to get sweet treats and breakfast. Bakery caught our eyes as soon as we walked in and instantly ordered a coconut danish! We let the hostess know our party was here and ready to be seated. She informed us that there will be a short wait. We were seated 5 mins later and provided menus and gave drink orders. We waited maybe another 20 mins or so, then had to flag down our waitress to give our food orders. I ordered the corn beef hash, which comes with rice, eggs, and a mixed salad, as well as bread for the table. The bread was accompanied with strawberry jelly that tastes like filling from a donut. It was good, but a little too sweet for my liking. Our meals arrived shortly afterwards and were delicious! There was an entrance to the Ala Moana Mall in the restaurant which came in clutch to walk our meal off.

This location is very convenient and easily accessible if you are shopping at the mall. They open at 7 am which is an hour later than their original location which makes it harder to grab treats and get to work before all the traffic starts. When I get there early they have everything, but sometimes later in the afternoon they start to run out of items. One item I wanted to try was their kouign-amann and it looked good but was bit dry. I think I will stick to their poi mochi donuts which are soft and a bit chewy without being overly sweet. My daughter also loves their hotdog roll with a mayo/ketchup top. Service is always good at 7 am. I have eaten sit down meals at this location and sometimes you have to wait depending on the amount of people there. The restaurant is located within/next to Macys so you can sip while you wait. The inside is nice and bright but wish they had a better view rather than the parking lot. Parking is great unless it's the holiday times.

Liliha Bakery was so... hard to find LOL. We were wandering back and forth through the Ala Moana Shopping Center trying to locate this restaurant. Was it in Macy's? Next to Macy's? Google Maps showed that it was in Macy's, but we were like "there's no way lol." But after circling the perimeter a couple of times, we were like "idk let's check the inside of the Macy's." We roamed around the inside of the Macy's for a while and eventually made our way to the third floor where the women's clothing section was. We didn't actually think that Liliha Bakery would be there, but we were running out of places to look. But it was! Right there, on the third floor of the Macy's, next to the dresses, was the entrance to Liliha Bakery. The sight was a little bizarre because like why would it be there, but regardless, that's where it is.  We put our name on the waitlist through the kiosk and waited about 15 minutes for our table. Service was very nice. We all got the loco moco with fried rice. It was so good! The hamburger patty tasted like it was fresh off a charcoal grill - a little smoky with a delicious charred edge. The garlic fried rice was so good too. We all scraped our plates clean! This was probably the best loco moco I've ever had. I'll definitely have to give Liliha Bakery another visit on my next trip to Oahu... and this time, I'll know exactly where to find it!

    Oxtail soup
    Reef A.

Ordered Oxtail Soup and Miso Butterfish. Both were good. Oxtail soup had a bit too much green onions though. Butterfish had too much miso sauce but was tasty. Butterfish was very fresh and flaky- melts in your mouth texture. There wasn't a single fish bone in my butterfish so kudos to the fish cutter/cook. Loved the complimentary butter rolls with the meals. Service was a bit subpar. Host seated us next to a noisy large group that was celebrating some kind of work related event with speeches etc. There were so many empty tables around so it was not cool to seat us right next to this noisy group. We had to request a quieter spot and was relocated to a table much further away so that was a relief. Server didn't check on us much during our meals though.

Service, food, location 10/10 They do get fairly busy during rushes but it's worth it! Came straight here after landing into the airport, perfect spot for breakfast and lunch; they have so much options! Located in Ala Moana mall 3rd floor, right next to Macy's. Theres a nice bakery area right outside the restaurant, serving their best pastries too Strawberry tea lemonade was really good. I got the kimchi fried rice, my boyfriend pork belly loco moco and my auntie and uncle got pancakes. Kimchi fried rice and pancakes were really good but the pork belly loco moco is what I've been dreaming about since, it was REALLY delicious I'll definitely love to come back again!

This is one of our favorite places to eat at when were in Waikiki. This specific location is at the Ala Moana mall... inside Macy's. Lol. Originally came to just pick up some cream puffs but decided to sit and eat. Best decision ever. Complimentary butter rolls with jelly (melts in your mouth). We got their loco moco (good), the kimchi fried rice with spam and eggs (delish), and the 3 pc. fried chicken with rice, corn, and potato mac salad (THE BEST!). My husband loved the fried chicken so much, we tried going back the day after. Lol. The bakery section is a whole review in itself but I wanted to highlight some favorites: green tea & original puff! I could devour 4 at a time. Lol. Their cookies and breads are also good. Good food. Great service. Huge servings. Laid back diner. Delicious homestyle meals. Great bang for your buck. Highly highly recommend.

Liliha Bakery is a local staple, and in recent years they've added a bunch of new locations. We've gotten takeout from this one inside Macy's a few times, but only dined in for the first time recently. You can get here through the store, or simply park right outside on the top level. They have a counter with their baked goods and other items to go as well. This place was busy! But the host was efficient to greet everyone and people were seated quickly. We sat at the big bar, which had no wait and the server was very fast to take our order. The menu is gigantic, with local foods, sandwiches, and breakfast. I had the kimchi fried rice, sooo good with lots of flavor. Portion sizes are huge for the price. The side of mac salad was yummy too, lots of dill. The plantation iced tea offered a refreshingly tropical treat too. If you're looking for something more casual and inexpensive while shopping in Ala Moana, this is a great option.

We were in town for a meeting. Since we were in Ala Moana we had lunch at our favorite comfort food restaurant Liliha Bakery. We had the Fried Chicken and Country Omelette with their famous Butter Rolls. They were very busy but they did a great job of getting everyone seated. Our server did a good job. I love their Fried Chicken. Served Hot, Crispy outside moist and tender inside. Delicious. We love the Butter Rolls so much we had to get some from the bakery with a bottle of their Cherry Jelly. Definitely the place to go for some local comfort food and pastries.

Do they serve oatmeal or sourdough bread?

Do the coco puff contain any nuts or peanuts?

The cream puff is baked in a facility that may have traces of nuts but the Coco Puff itself is just a cream puff (choux batter) filled with chocolate pudding and topped with a Chantilly frosting.

Do they serve in a gluten-free pancakes or waffles or gluten-free bread or sourdough bread?

Not that I'm aware of. You should call them to double check however, I have never seen anything gluten free.

Little overdue of a review but here we go lol…read more. Diners has been a staple for my family & I , and I'm sure many other families on island for YEARS. Our family's go to was always Cheeseburger and yellow sauce with fries! As time and society evolved , so did Diners, since they became "Upscale" and added more things to their menu. I have tried their Grilled lobster plate more than once from their Upscale menu in the past and I think during that time it was $15? Not sure if it's still that price, but for that price it was a winner! Lobster + salad and rice ? What more can you ask for since that's basically a steal in today's economy. Anyway , I was in the area recently and decided on diners for dinner. I was really craving ahi katsu, unfortunately my go to spot was already closed since I decided on dinner a little after 8pm ish? So I thought .. well diners has ahi katsu supposedly .. why not give it a try. I wasn't expecting much since it was Diner's BUT needless to say.. their ahi katsu is DELICIOUS. Seasoned well and cooked to perfection! I love the sauce they drizzle on the katsu. I should've asked for extra sauce on the side had I known it was gonna be yummy! But that's something to keep note of on my next visit in the future. I definitely would order this plate again! And continue to adventure out on their menu lol. A tip to keep in mind : they do have signs posted by their windows to be patient when ordering because they do take a bit to make and give you your order since they are always short staffed. And there's normally alot of people waiting or ordering since lots come to this establishment right after work or in between work or just simply there for a bite to grab. So prepare to wait .. but sometimes you can be lucky where it doesn't take as long. It does truly depend on time and the day I guess. Also one last thing, my personal opinion , I think Diners is worth grabbing food from. Whether you're hungry , in the area or wanting to grind. Some people have mixed reviews or bad experiences but me personally , I always had a good outcome. Oh also before I forget their steak is delicious too (LOL) , never ordered it for myself but I shared some of it with one of my relatives who ordered their steak before. Give this place a shot!

We were the first ones in. The woman at the front was so sweet and welcoming! I always loved their tables and the vibe is always relaxing. Our server was so nice! We pretty much ordered the same thing but with different meats. I was in the mood for Spam. The coffee was really good! I wonder who they get it from. Overall, another great meal! The internet told me if I wanted authentic Hawaiian food, this was the place to go, so of course I…read morehad to try it. Since it was our last meal before leaving Hawaii and there were still a few Hawaiian dishes I hadn't gotten around to trying, this felt like the perfect spot. What I really liked is that they have a sampler plate with a bunch of classic Hawaiian dishes, and the menu actually breaks down what everything is. Clearly this is something people come here for, because it makes trying a little bit of everything way less intimidating. I split the sampler with someone, and overall I was pleasantly surprised. Some of the items didn't look the most appetizing at first glance -- one especially because of the color -- but flavor-wise, everything was actually really good. One of the dishes reminded me of a comforting chicken soup situation, the clear noodles were good, some of the other items were more savory, and it all balanced together well. The lomi salmon was one of my favorites -- kind of like a light, fresh tomato salsa or pico de gallo situation that paired really well with the pork and everything else on the plate. I didn't finish it all because I was already full, but I genuinely liked the variety and thought the flavors were rich and comforting. So if you're curious about Hawaiian food but don't know where to start, this sampler is a great move. Don't let the appearance of some of the dishes scare you off. Service was quick and everyone was nice. At first I kind of wished someone had walked us through the food a little more, but honestly, the menu already does that for you pretty clearly. Overall, I'm glad we came. It was a fun way to try the Hawaiian dishes we hadn't gotten to yet, and I'd come back to try more.

We ordered the prime rib & 3 lobster tails special for $69.99 and fed three people (one is a smallish person). We ordered a back-up plate lunch with the smoked ham steaks that we barely touched, because we were so full. Most prices are under $30, and they have a great breakfast menu as well. Even though it was a busy day, our food came out in just a few minutes. Glad this place is still around. Can't wait to go again next time I need a cheap protein boost!

It's a "hole in the wall" type ambiance. But when the quality is this good for the money, ambience takes a back seat. We went on a day that missed out on the best prime rib in the state. Those days are Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. And you best get there before closing cuz they run out fast! They also have the best pork chops I've ever eaten and those too run out early. We got there late on Wednesday and had the NY steak. It was a great size and tender cut with asparagus. It was excellent. We also had the chicken but was no longer crispy as we had takeout and didn't get to eat it until a couple of hours later but the flavor was good. Parking is street only so you best find a side street and park as it's busy. They deal in cash only! **** Most all plates come with a salad and rice.

Other than that you gotta use an app (?) QR code to pay for your ticket, not sure if i like that aspect of it. They give off such a local family run chill vibe. They weren't super busy...kind of dead actually on a late friday afternoon. Had enough space to put our stroller on the side and they let us sit and eat with our doggo. They have good looking bentos and I feel like they excel at those. I ordered a burger and fries and my yelp bff ordered french toast. There was a good amount of french toast, enough that it had to be saved for breakfast the next day. My burger was smash burger style very straight forward solid burger. would come back again to try more things on the menu!
