Can't go wrong with omlettes and pancakes! Love that I can order online and then swing by and pick up. However, i do wish there were a few stalls reserved for pick up because the lot is always packed. Did the pancake recipe change? They taste even better than I remember! Yummy! This will be my LAST visit because it ain't cheap to waste food. Potatoes and meat was no doubt burnt and tasted so gross totally not edible. This is a hole in the wall off 12th street. My husband and I happened to come across it when we tried to go to another breakfast down the street. We were pleasantly surprised. There is ample parking in the metered parking lot adjacent to the location. Highly recommend always paying for the parking, even if it's a fast pickup, because the parking enforcers check at really sporadic times. The place is clean, and there are a decent amount of seats for in-person dining (weekends get busy so go before 9am if you don't want a long wait). But this time I'd thought I'd try something new Got the Koa Burrito and Eggs Benedict with hashbrowns and split it with a friend. Eggs Benedict was decent. Though eggs Benedict was decent, I've had better elsewhere. The Koa Burrito was packed with flavor but I will say that some of the potato slices inside were a little too big and it was pretty oily as it dripped from the burrito and some accumulated at the bottom of the takeout plate. If u place an online order they have this cool feature that will text you an estimate for how long it'll take to get your food ready and texts you immediately when it's ready! I ordered the guava mochi waffle (which was on special) with a side of portuguese sausage, and helped myself to water in a paper cup. The guava mochi waffle was good, guava attributed to the hot pink sauce that was poured over the waffle. I liked the chewy consistency of the waffle from the mochi and could only finish half the waffle which was topped with whipped cream. A quick and hearty Sunday Brunch in Kaimuki! Great stop after a hike up Diamond head crater, or before a family day at the beach. There are a few stalls in front of the restaurant. There is also meter parking that is easily accessible in the parking lots behind Koa Pancake house. The city upgraded these meters so that credit card payment is now available, which is great ! Fried rice, homestyle potato's, and upgraded our regular pancakes to Banana Macadamia nut pancakes with Haupia syrup on the side! It is the best ! We came for brunch around 1230 on a Sunday. The restaurant was not as busy, there were a few local and tourist families. Local music played but not too loud and we were able to enjoy a nice meal as a family. I've had it a couple of times this year and I keep hoping that the food will get better, and that maybe it was just an off day. I ordered a Portuguese sausage and fried rice plate, but the sausage was burnt, and the fried rice tasted as if it was spoiled, and had a sour taste, almost as if natto was mixed in it.
