However, i do wish there were a few stalls reserved for pick up because the lot is always packed. Did the pancake recipe change? They taste even better than I remember! Yummy! Came here strictly because of the name (our dog who recently passed was named Koa!) but the food was definitely solid! It seems like a pretty typical local breakfast joint, with multiple locations. I found a spot right in kaimuki near my doggies grooming! It's spacious and clean and they offer dine in service as well as take out. This is by far my favorite breakfast location! Food is always consistently delicious and the staff there are wonderful! We always get the trio which comes with Portuguese sausage, link sausage, bacon, eggs, and your choice of pancakes, hash browns, or toast and upgrade and get the chocolate chip pancakes. If you want to take out on a Sunday, online order cause it gets so busy! There's a mix of people that go in locals, tourists, people that live here but aren't from here, etc. That being said, I wish the coffee refill station and take out materials etc are not near the pick up counter. I'm fine with ordering at the counter, I was just surprised by the paper products. Service was quick and efficient. The place was clean. I ordered the guava mochi waffle (which was on special) with a side of portuguese sausage, and helped myself to water in a paper cup. The guava mochi waffle was good, guava attributed to the hot pink sauce that was poured over the waffle. I liked the chewy consistency of the waffle from the mochi and could only finish half the waffle which was topped with whipped cream. Fried rice, homestyle potato's, and upgraded our regular pancakes to Banana Macadamia nut pancakes with Haupia syrup on the side! It is the best ! We came for brunch around 1230 on a Sunday. The restaurant was not as busy, there were a few local and tourist families. Local music played but not too loud and we were able to enjoy a nice meal as a family.
