The place is beautiful. Our server checked in on us several times. Our food was delicious. My daughters enjoyed the shrimp and pancakes. The pancakes were huge and my daughter wasn't able to finish them. The fried rice and loco moco was delicious. I recommend leaving room for desserts from the bakery! The only downside was that there isn't a kids menu.
Liliha Bakery was on a lot of people's must-try lists, so we put it on ours. We came here for lunch and were seated outside. What was interesting was how many birds were trying to come and steal your food from the table! Be aware of that. Service was good, food was alright. I ordered a noodle dish with shrimp in it. But the shrimp sort of tasted very dry. Overall it was an alright spot. Tried their ube mochi thing as well and to me I didn't really enjoy it. A bit on the dry side as well. But maybe I would come back to try some other items.
We actually didn't plan to do dinner. I was told by many that the baked goods here were something special and worth trying. Knowing me, I was most interested in the dessert, but we ended up dining here on a whim. We had really great service when we dined in. I ordered the oxtail soup because I hadn't had it before, which fulfills my rule of trying new foods when I can. It was tasty, with a unique spice blend reminiscent of other beef soups I've had in the past. However, I was particularly wowed however by the complementary bread and raspberry jam. Call me simple, but the bread was actually the star of the show for me, perfectly soft and buttery. The location in Waikiki is perhaps a clear reminder that it is a tourism city. The atmosphere is that of fine dining. Not a bad place to grab a meal when on vacation in Honolulu.
July 2026 I'm so glad our hotel was near the International Market Place, where Liliha Bakery is on the 3rd floor! Breakfast was delicious! - The appetizer rolls were sooooo gooood!!! It reminded me of my island bread but super pillowy soft and pan fried bottom in butter. I wanted to order 2 portions to take to my room - Loco moco was delivered over fried rice. - Mac Nut Chocolate Chip Waffle was Yummy!!(add the syrup!) Bakery: - The puffs were a little underwhelming. It felt like the pastry part was a day old but this was our first time trying them as well **Service overall was good. The place can fill up pretty quick, so be patient when flagging down your server. Can't wait to go back and try more!
Good bread pudding. Very good blueberry scones. Good mochi ball. Everyone likes their order, but we bought too much to eat it all fresh. What we ate fresh was fantastic, what we waited a day for was good. Quite a line, but it moved quickly. Looks like they are used to dealing with it and they did so nicely.
Having awesome experience at the Pearl City Liliha and in love with their butter mochi, we made a come back to the Waikiki one for the savory food. It was a nicer space that looked newer as well but the service was unfortunately super slow. We needed to call the servers for multiple times before our order was finally picked up and it took awhile before getting our food ready. Then we also weren't given the butter roll until we asked (deep frowned). Fortunately the Loco Moco made it up as it's so filling, the beef hamburg was juicy, and the gravy was well-seasoned with perfectly cooked sunny side up. The butter roll did earn it's spotlight being so fluffy and aromatic especially served warm and fresh!
We came as a large group of 16 people for brunch on our last day on the Island. A few days before my daughter and I stopped to buy some pastries to go and both times we went the place was packed! They serve complimentary bread while you wait for your orders and OMG that bread was to die for with their housemate jelly/spread. The Smoked pineapple pork belly I ordered had a bit of a kick but since the flavors were good I ate it all up. Their Mac salad is quite refreshing and the burger was extraordinary. My drink was the best! I could drink a whole pitcher of it in one sitting if it was bottomless refills! So refreshing and just the right amount of sweetness. I highly recommend coming here but come early as the lines get crazy. On the flip side, if you get hungry while you wait, you can always sample their pastries which are all pretty darn good as well.
Went to grab some bakery items one day and sat for breakfast another day. The first items we grabbed were the French donut (flavorless - would not recommend) and the onion bread (good but a little dry). But we sat down the next day and got the garlic spam fried rice and it was delicious. We also got the cinnamon roll which was so good! Service was great.
Wow nice place for breakfast guys. Waikiki beach there are many breakfast places but this one really gives you what you're looking for. I ordered two eggs with corn beef hash. It comes with rice and a salad and delicious coffee. My wife ordered two eggs and bacon same with rice and salad. And then they bring you their specialty butter roll.... Oh my gosh it was so good.. it right in the international market third floor and they also have a great bakery... I give them 5 star for cleanliness, food and great service... and as far as Waikiki prices are reasonable... don't miss it...
Stopped for breakfast and grabbed some pastries to go for later. So many good breakfast items to choose from like chocolate chip Mac nut waffle, porky belly items, Mahi Mahi & eggs plate, etc. The butter rolls they bring before your meal are so delicious we ordered some to go! Liliha Bakery is on the top floor of the International Marketplace (gorgeous seating areas, feels like you're at the treetop level). The bakery is modern and very beautiful with an outdoor patio. We stopped by to take some pastries to go. Their cream puffs are popular so we tried both the green tea and coco puffs. The green tea cream puff was light and airy. The perfect mix of sweet cream with a hint of salt. The coco puff was a classic chocolate cream puff, but nothing that special. We also tried one of their mochi bites which was the perfect chewy texture. The one item that I wouldn't recommend was the lilikoi malasada. I'm not sure if we got an older malasada, but the breading tasted like a dry cake donut. The filling tasted nothing of lilikoi unfortunately. Wouldn't recommend as compared to other malasada spots in Waikiki. Overall would come again for the cream puffs and possibly to try one of their breakfast dishes.
After our bakery hopping adventure, we stopped by Halekulani Bakery since we were still craving more pastries after only having two at our previous spot. The display looked very appealing, so we picked several items: Green Tea Croissant, Dubai Chocolate Croissant, Coconut Danish, Dubai Chocolate Coco Puff, and Guava Cream Cheese Strudel. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing. All of the pastries were overwhelmingly sweet to the point that it was difficult to taste the individual flavors. Everything had a similar sugary profile, which took away from what should have been distinct items. The texture and freshness were also lacking. The pastries were soft in a soggy way rather than light and flaky. They tasted like pre-made pastries you might find packaged at a grocery store rather than freshly baked. Overall, we did not enjoy the experience and ended up not finishing some of the items because they were too sweet. :(
Another really good bakery in Hawaii the we ordered chocolate, matcha, and original. All the flavors are really good. Service here was fast and reliable and fulfilled my sweet tooth. Ambiance is really nice upscale for sure because of the waikiki location but staff super friendly read more

The only thing that was good here was the bakery. The desserts were amazing for sure, but the food itself was flavorless, it was even missing salt. We ordered the loco moco, and honestly, it was worse than what we make at home. Save your money, skip the line, and just visit the bakery. The food is not worth the wait. Si being bilingual, the thought of eating something called crazy snot was a bit disconcerting. Nonetheless we move forward. Pleasant location with outdoor seating in the middle of tourist central. Servers were super friendly and helpful. So this dish is pretty yummy. Not some complex culinary thing but downright good. read more

We were recommended to try Likiha bakery, which serves breakfast all day! I was sad they no longer sell the eggs Benedict on their cornbread, as I'm sure their homemade cornbread would have been to die for. However, I went with the Denver Omelette, which came with their famous buttered roll, and it was delicious!! Our server was very attentive, and the vibes reminded me of a diner inside. Honestly a hidden gem in Waikiki, which I highly recommend you try for any meal of the day! read more
Stopped in for breakfast and lunch. I was able to sample some baked goods during our trip. We were seated quickly and the dining room Was decorated and I was happy to see the baked goods were made in-house. We had pancakes and the hamburger steak with Mac/potato salad with rice and gravy. The helpings were very generous. The grilled buns with a sweet sauce were accompanied with the meal. The pancakes were large and fluffy with homemade syrup. I was skeptical at first but it's the same good food, in much swankier ambiance. Several restaurants have been here and left before Liliha. And it's probably the nicest one. Prices reflect that too. Bakery section is so much nicer. And dining- lanai is better than indoor. But you get the same delicious food you love- in the many other version before this. Including Yum Cha. But this fits. Happy to get my soup on - or their chicken. Oxtail! Butter rolls - yumm. Fried chicken, waffles. Loco moco! Without the wait. That's the best part/ the wait. Ala Moana is much busier than here, but the wait. Free parking there is nice. Here, you can get validated. But it's tricky to find. Or come in for the bakery! Same good food, in the market. Nice location in the International Market Place in Waikiki. Clean and new decor indoor and outdoors. Service was very friendly and helpful. The menu is limited for breakfast than the other locations. Food was tasty. The garlic fried rice was a little too garlicky for me but if you like garlic you would enjoy it. read more
Came back here for some morning pastries since we didn't want a full breakfast. Line wasn't too bad at all and they move very quickly here. It's hard not to order everything! You can enjoy them at one of the many tables outside (they are on the 3rd level) or go downstairs to seating there inside the International Market Place. The pastries were a little hit or miss like last time again. My favorite was the onion roll which is like a green onion hot dog bun. So fresh and soft! But the haupia malasada on the other hand was so dry and tasted stale, and barely any filling! I'd say this is a good spot to stop for some treats if you're in the area already but would not go out of the way to come. read more
This place was so beautiful. The staff was very accommodating. For a party of six, let's start with the loco moco which broke the mouth, so good. Plenty of grave and the Patties were awesome, great flavor all around bomb diggity. The pancakes oooooooo watch out. Went so well with the fruit and syrup. This place was recommended by some foodies we watched on YT and everything looked so yummy on the screen that we decided to go give it a try during our recent visit. This is a nice new looking, modern, casual, bakery cafe style restaurant located on the top floor of the International Market Place. What we liked was that there is indoor seating available as well as outdoor seating. Since we prefer fresh air dining, we requested a table outside. Right after walking in the front door, you pass by a very colorful yummilicious bakery display that's very hard to not stop and just look, but we had already decided we'd come re-visit this bakery on our way out. Anyway, immediately past the bakery was where the restaurant's hostess greeted us and led us to our table....very nice, friendly, polite.....with a smile on her face....which was nice. Once at our table, our server showed up shortly after, equally nice, friendly, and polite....handed us the menu. It didn't take long to decide what we wanted as we were so in the mood for their breakfast offerings..at this later supper hour. At first, we couldn't decide on the Mac Nut Waffle & Chicken Karaage or the Mac Nut Waffard.....so, we asked our server for her suggestions....and ended up ordering both!...and we were so glad we did. Both dishes hot and fresh out of the kitchen, and oh so satisfying and comforting....and not as sweet as we had expected, which was good. Needless to say, the food didn't stay untouched for very long as it all disappeared quite fast.....it was that yummy....either that or we were very hungry. Anyway, everything was good, excellent service, and yummy desserts at the bakery on the way out. The food at Liliha bakery was amazing. The cinnamon roll was really good, but the bacon was kind of greasy. I loved their pancakes and they have a really good poi Ube doughnut. The service was really good. They let me take my time when I ordered because it took me long to decide, do I want the glazed doughnut or the cinnamon roll, and they were kind about it. We were seated outside, but it was amazing. It wasn't so hot. They had fans everywhere blowing a pool air and a really cool thing was their cups. I thought Lily Hall bakery was really well and I recommended if you're traveling to Oahu. read more
Came here for breakfast after the valet at SPK next door suggested breakfast here. I'd only been once before for pastries, which wasn't that great IMO. Since it was so close we decided to check it out. Well what do you know. The breakfast is bomb! I had the garlic fried, eggs with spam. It even came with a little mini salad which I ate cuz why not. This combo was more nostalgic to my younger days, it's definitely comfort food. Generous serving will leave you walking out slowly. My friend had the Mac Nut Waffard which left her speechless. She added an extra side of whipped cream which tasted like coconut- it was definitely bringing the aloha. We arrived early around 7-8am and seating outside was no issue. It was nice to be there while it was still quiet - just the little birds around hoping for a stray morsel or two. Food was so good we ate here 3 mornings in a row. To this day we still dream of this breakfast. Will definitely be back. Mahalo! read more
If you're ever in Waikiki, this is the place you want to go to have breakfast. Ate here twice and both times we were very pleasantly surprised. You can sit indoor or outdoors. Service is spectacular. Everyone is so nice. The food is great. The only issue I had was the potatoes were not completely cooked through. But everything else was delicious. read more
To me, Liliha Bakery in Hawaii is the equivalent of Junior's in New York. They're both sit down restaurants with sizable menus, good food, and even better baked goods which are really their signature products. I've been to this location twice so far and enjoyed both visits. They're family-friendly and super accommodating. For food, I highly recommend the regular loco moco, pork belly loco moco, and oxtail soup. And come hungry because the portion sizes are huge! The baked goods are a hit or miss. The cream puffs are just okay. The malasada flavors are very limited. The donuts are winners. read more
The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating. It was a beautiful morning, so we chose to sit outside. I'm not sure how long the place has been around, but it feels fresh, modern, and spacious. I had the eggs with Portuguese sausage, while my friend ordered the Loco Moco with smoked pork belly -- which he described as an "OMG moment." My eggs were perfectly cooked, and the Portuguese sausage was flavorful. Unfortunately, the fried potatoes were a complete miss -- undercooked and chewy to the point that not even ketchup or Tabasco could save them. On the bright side, the butter buns were fantastic -- so good I ordered extra. Our server was friendly and attentive, keeping our coffee and water topped up throughout the meal. read more

Today was my first visit to their waikiki location and it did not disappoint! I'm unsure how long the waffard (waffle custard) has been on the menu, but it was the perfect early morning breakfast with coffee! This liliha bakery location is definitely shinier than the others, but has a nice indoor and outdoor area, which offers a nice change compared to the usually bustle y diner feel of the original. Definitely easy to have a large group here, but they had a line by about 8:30am, so I'd prepare for that if you're not an early riser. The service was quick and friendly, and parking the international marketplace lot is comped for the first hour with validation. Definitely will be back to snag pastries if we're in the area! I think the prices are comparable to the other locations as well. read more

I came here for dinner and dessert. The restaurant was packed but my family and I didn't not have to wait for a table. The staff were kind and patient. We ordered the Grilled Mahi Mahi, Chicken Karaage, Miso Butterfish, 10oz Prime Rib and Guava Plantation Iced Tea. They gave us complimentary biscuits which were warm and absolutely delicious! The miso butterfish was on point! Super flaky and flavorful. The prime rib was a little more cooked than requested but it tasted good. The mahi mahi was not bad but I prefer the butterfish more. The chicken karaage would be my least favorite dish. It wasn't crispy and it was cold. I loved the guava iced tea. It was perfect for quenching my thirst. For dessert, I got Green Tea Puff, Coco Puff, Haupia Malasada and Poi Donut. My favorite was the Coco Puff and the Poi Donut. They were so yummy! However, I did not like the taste of the Haupia Malasada. I'd pick a different flavor next time. read more

Matcha cream puff and the poi donut are so good here! It's not too sweet and filled with its natural flavors. I would skip the cupcakes though, it was kind of dry. Besides the cream puff and the poi donut, this place doesn't really stand out to me with so many great bakeries and dessert places nearby. Service is alright, I felt like they could be a bit nicer. I was rushed and the staff gave me an attitude when I pointed out that she gave me the wrong item. read more

This is mine and husband's favorite place to get breakfast when we are vacationing in Waikiki! In the bakery, I love to get the mochi donuts & cream puffs! They are delicious! I even bought a jar of their raspberry jam to take home! Breakfast is always so delicious here! We usually order the pork belly plate & loco loco plate. We tried different plates this time and still loved it! Servers are very nice and attentive as well! Try not to feed the birds or they will all come to you at once. Would highly recommend sitting outside. read more
Very good pastries and great service. Everything was clean and well maintained. I like how tip was added already this might be controversial but I personally liked it. Our server also split the bill for us which made it so easy for us. I had the ox tail soup. It was a good portion. I also had lilikoi malasada which was meh. poi mochi donut was also meh but the cream cheese danish was very good lol read more
Service was ok! My drink, I ordered the wake up call. Smidgen overpriced imo and had to sweeten it up a bit, it was good. I ordered the smoked pork belly with eggs. I asked for them cooked fried over hard, they came over medium. I've lived that nightmare before, I didn't even try to stomach that. Took a long time to get someone/my waitress' attention but when I did, they were promptly corrected. The smoked pork belly was delicious and maybe a little too fatty but all the more tender. That dish is worth returning for! I ate outside and while the inside is not that big, doesn't matter because the patio allowed for fresh air and people watching. read more

Always remember to bring home their famous puffs before leaving Hawaii. I also tried their poi donuts years ago, but I didn't taste much poi since it was sweet. It was chewy like mochi donuts. It was busy in the morning for a diner and a bakery. I had my last breakfast of Spam Omelette with a scoop of garlic fried rice and Guava Plantation Iced Tea a few hours before I headed back to San Jose. The Spam Omelette was packed with bell peppers, onions, and green onions. The garlic fried rice was delicious. Guava Plantation Tea was more like guava juice mixed with black tea. You can't find this type of breakfast on the mainland, not even in their Hawaiian restaurants. The service was alright despite a 20-minute wait. I love the atmosphere of this location. They have a nice display of baked goods, from cakes to pastries and buns. After breakfast, I bought half a dozen Coco Puffs. It didn't melt much during my five-hour flight, and it's best to store it for three days in an airtight container in the refrigerator. read more

My girlfriend and I met up for a walk tonight and we ended up in Waikiki. Due to the rainy season we decided to come here for dinner and both ordered the oxtail soup! It was the right meal as it was cold and damp from the rain. Service a 10 as we were seated immediately and water was brought to us after we sat down. Our meal came within 15 minutes. Server kept checking in with us and the ambiance is beautiful in the evening! Give this location a thought for great service and good home cooked meals. read more
This location has a nice, large space. With a large party, we were seated within 15 minutes or so on a Friday night, so not bad! Service was prompt. Waters were delivered quickly. They took the drink orders with food orders - I personally think you should take drink orders first, especially as I like to enjoy my alcohol for a bit before food arrives. Not a big deal. After ordering food and drinks, baskets of butter rolls were dropped off. Love the buttery delicious rolls with bright red jelly. We got a lot of them too. Yum!! I ordered the prime rib French dunk. Good amount of meat, soft bun, and yummy as jus. Loved it. I only wished there were fries because the potatoes just aren't the same to go with a sandwich. My kids got the garlic fried rice and pancakes. Both were so good! So much garlicky goodness and the pancakes were tasty and on point. Would definitely recommend this location! read more

It is always a must to stop by here when we go to Oahu. We order the usual oxtail soup or the fried chicken. The servers are so nice and remind me of a nice uncle or auntie welcoming you home with a nice home cooked meal. Don't pass up the bakery, because they have an assortment of pastries, cakes, and their irresistible cream puffs! read more
They're located on the third floor of the International Market Place, with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. The atmosphere is great, and our waitress was excellent--my water glass was never empty. They started us off with sweet rolls and a delicious guava & raspberry dipping sauce. The rolls were soft and absolutely amazing. I ordered the Miso Butterfish--so good! It came with fried rice, mac salad, and corn. My wife ordered the two-piece fried chicken, and our waitress surprised her by adding an extra piece at no charge. Before we left, we checked out their bakery section, which had so many tempting options. Unfortunately, I was way too full to try anything--but I definitely will next time! read more
I came across this bakery walking around and thought about sitting down having brunch but was just more so interested in just the pastries. The bakery is located at the top. There's escalators and if you locate the elevator it's probably best to take that as it is the closet to the bakery. Also tip, if you have a vehicle there's parking. That is a big plus considering it's absolutely difficult to locate parking in the area. As soon as I entered, I immediately checked the menu. No pastry really stood out to me but upon trying what I ordered it was delicious. The texture was very soft, chewy, and not too sweet where it's overwhelming. read more

Oh my gosh. Unbelievable upside down pineapple and guava cake. Only showing the Guava, forgot the pineapple cake, so good, forgot to take a picture. The only draw back, they don't give you any bad to carry it. Buy two or more items and you get the brown box carry. Google recommend. read more

Lisa, they will serve oxtail soup in the morning if they have it prepared. Sometime they're still cooking the batch of oxtail soup for the day, and they don't have any to serve at the moment.

When we were there in May we had no issues with service. We were there at peak dinner time as well. The staff seemed very efficient and well organized.
