Is this the best Philly Cheesesteak in NYC? Definitely not. In Queens? Probably not. Is it better than most offerings around? Depends on what you like. Opened a few days ago, there was a small line when I got there about 6:15pm today. The server said 10 minutes, but it took quite a while to get my sandwich. Roughly 30 minutes. Apparently, I am not the only customer eagerly waiting for their sandwich. Many patrons were standing around. There were even a couple of disgruntled customers complaining. I truly hope their process will improve over time. When the cheesesteak did arrive, it was pipping hot and filled to the brim. For $18, the sandwich looked tasty, though it did not look cheesy. Regardless, it was full of chopped beef slices and cooper sharp cheese. The overall flavor if the filling was pretty good. I do wish there was a little more cheese and definitely more onions. Also, they made a mistake and allowed some random peppers into my sandwich. Not a big deal unless someone has severe allergies. I don't have that problem, so it didn't bother me. What detracted from the experience for me majorly was the bread. It was dense and did not enhance the cheesesteak at all. Therefore, it is overall a decent sandwich, but does not reach the level of greatness I have experienced elsewhere. Furthermore, their pizza did not impress me much. Worst part was the crust, which was crispy but borderline hard and stiff, cracker-like. As for flavor, the tomato pie was just plain old boring. The bites where I got tomato sauce was better, but can't save the slice. Nonna was saucier, but the tomato sauce is more like tomato paste, drier and zestier than the average pizza sauce. Sadly, not a consolation prize for the bad crust. I do believe this restaurant is a nice new addition to the neighborhood. Hoping they will become more efficient over time and improve that pizza crust and bread of the cheesesteak. I will give them another chance to impress in a month or two.

Pizza quality was just okay; solid but not especially noteworthy; will have to try the cheese steak

Best cheesesteak hero in Queens hands down. The basic whole cheesesteak comes with cooper cheddar and grilled onions on a seeded or un-seeded hero. That bread is brought up from South Jersey and it shows. It's just one of the top quality ingredients that make this sandwich a classic. You can opt to order a 1/2 cheesesteak with fries for $14 (the fries are tasty and plentiful) but my go to is the 16oz Cheesesteak. It's the full hero and it's stuffed. $18 which around here is huge bang for the buck. Get the whole hero and split it or just be happy and stuffed for the evening! It's really good. Or go on a different tract and get a chicken cheesesteak hero. Options! The staff are great. They're friendly and knowledgeable about what items you might like (those massive garlic knots, for instance) and which pies you should try a slice of. Maybe I'll get around to those myself, but right now I'm going to be working my way through the cheesesteaks, chicken cheesesteak, buffalo chicken cheesesteak, and the grilled chicken hero. Forest Hills doesn't have any decent sandwich places so I'm happy to see Lillo's expanding into our area. The store is clean and well lit, and has a great vibe. Welcome to the neighborhood!

Great spot to pick up a quick affordable lunch/dinner. Large space with lots of standing space and a few tables. Pizza was decent, cheesesteak was enormous proportions, very affordable. Fries are very potato-y. Wasn't too fond of the garlic knots but huge plus that they give it with marinara sauce. I would not rate this the best cheesesteak but it's good for the average person craving it. It will definitely fill you up.

First time coming here i thought the portions were decent. To be honest i dont eat cheesesteaks often so I dont have a recent experience to compare to but I thought it tasted pretty good. With nothing to compare id rate it 7/10. I ate it there so everything was pretty fresh I wonder if the bread could get soggy with delivery though. Minimal tables so depending on crowd you may or may not be able to eat there. The pizza looked decent but didn't try it. Id try a slice next time. Cool addition to the neighborhood. Staff is friendly

For an establishment that only serves one food item (literally - a cheesesteak), I am amazed how…read morewell it is done, even if it costs half of your life savings to eat one of these. The only modification you can make is if you want to add peppers on it. Otherwise there is nothing else. The steak comes with onions on a sesame seed roll (pretty sure it is Amoroso), and a sharp White American cheese (they call it something else but I forget). It all marries up to one amazing flavor, though I had to pick out many onions to make it happen. If I were able to get this without the onions, I would have eaten every last ribbon of meat. I made this known to the young man who was behind the counter and took my order. Do not expect any seating here. Just a few bars on the wall to eat your steak, and a small bench outside. That is all you get. But I get it. This is meant to be ordered and then taken to the park or back to your apartment to be scarfed. Unfortunately, I do not live in Alphabet City, so I have to make do with the long bar on the inside. The service here is super friendly and genuine. I really hope the staff here enjoys making the steaks as much as I enjoyed eating one. Because I cannot take out the onions, and out of respect for those who cannot eat onions (like myself), I cannot favorite it because that would imply I would like to return here. Due to that little inconvenience, I cannot return here. However, can I recommend it to you? Absolutely, absolutely.

Unfortunately I think I started a line - but everyone I saw behind me had ordered by the time o finished my first half and turned around to head out. The guys working here were also VERY nice and tried to get me an extra cheesesteak around 10 as they were working on a large catering order. Unfortunately they made exactly the right amount so he came out to apologize for getting my hopes up. That interaction alone put me in a great mood while waiting.

Their reputation was well earned. I got the authentic cheesesteaks with cooper sharp American and cooper sharp pepper American along with onions and sweet peppers and a side of Old Bay fries at the bartender's recommendation. The roll was fresh baked with a crispy out shell and soft and fluffy center, which held all the flavors. All of the ingredients were fresh, with meat pouring out of the sandwich and served piping hot. I ate every last bite despite being too full to do so. The bartender was awesome to everyone!! I requested a soda water with a lime. He took the time to add fresh lime juice to the drink, knowing that last the taste I ultimately wanted. Club soda with lime is my go to drink and I've never had someone even offer to do that. The decor is Philly sports bar themed as one would expect a cheesesteak restaurant to be but it wasn't over the top. HTF should I know that the people who work there have no clue what's on the menu. Yeah I chose the weird Philly cheesesteak sandwich. It sounded much better on paper than in reality. It didn't taste like a real Philly cheesesteak sandwich. It had a lot of mushrooms in it but the gravy sauce tasted weird and it barely had any cheese. He also ordered a halal gyro over rice. Not sure which protein... chicken probably... I really didn't care for it. It didn't taste like anything you'd expect from a halal place. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh but the seasoning on the food was non-existent. Where are all the spices! Didn't taste cumin, coriander.. garlic, etc! So bland. No heat whatsoever from the sauces? It tasted more like creamy bbq sauce. Don't serve halal food for the sake of having variety on the menu. The texture of of the rice was a lil odd for me and it wasn't basmati rice. I'm giving it 3 stars cuz it really was just okay, if anything, I'm being a bit generous. I didn't feel like cooking lunch on a Friday but I could've easily made something tastier for less money.

The meat was tender, juicy, flavorful, it had the right amount of cheese, a tiny bit of mayo which sorta melted into the provolone, peppers, onions, mushrooms and raw tomato. I ate the whole thing, I'm pregnant and it really hit the spot. The only criticism I could give the sandwich is that it could have had more meat on it, the ends were a little bare. Next time, I'll order extra steak. The fries were also really good, surprisingly so. It took me like 20 mins to sit down and eat it after picking it up and Jo thinking was soggy. I ordered through Uber Eats and it came with free mozzarella sticks which were not great- I wasn't expecting them to be. In the future, even if they're free, id skip them. There's a parking lot, it's in a plaza, so that makes it convenient af, given it is in flushing. Since I placed the order online for takeout, I can't really speak to the service or ambience, but it looked clean and there were people eating in, and several available tables. The girl at the register was nice. 10/10. It's not a traditional Philly cheesesteak but it's nostalgic to me bc I used to frequent Charleys in a mall as a teenager.. and it hasn't changed much.
