    Pressed sushi cake

Cozy spot with incredible Sushi! We split the traditional southern Japanese pressed cake (don't remember the name but it's a current special) and the king of spider roll. We also had the green tea mochi for dessert and I had a great pour of Sauvy B. The young lady working the hostess and serving position was super friendly and is also the daughter of the chef - who was playing some great 80s hits. We will definitely be back!

Delicious!! Love this place so much! They have a variety of many different rolls which is amazing because I like to try as much as I can!

Japanese beer 5% not a beer drinker but I would drink that. It's tasty.

Small area- "spot" . Food is excellent , service is excellent, The salmon sashimi - is such great quality. For sure will visit again when in the area . Tried the new Japanese beer offered tasted pretty good. And hot sake as per always is a hot for me! 10 stars!!!!!!!!

Environment: it was very quiet inside. The sushi chefs are very hardworking and reticent. Our server was attentive. Seating, however, is very limited. Even when we came around 7pm on Sunday night, the seats filled up pretty quickly. Food: portions were large, fresh and satisfying.we ordered many rolls as well as nigiri (Fatty Tuna MP was $14 for 2.... So worth it. Squid was a little disappointing. Salmon pieces were very large and satisfying). The menu was comprised of: cold/hot items + sushi alacarte. It would be nice to see set/combo meals (especially for foodies like me who love to eat!) Price/Value: the prices were okay given the current market prices but in order to compete with other sushi restaurants, they may need to have a more extensive menu.

Best sushi ever. Perfect size.Perfect service every time looooooove Highly recommend

I loved the quick service and the salmon roll was a great starter! The fish in the rolls and the sushi and sashimi bento box were fresh and delicious! Highly recommend coming here with friends! The service was attentive and comforting ambiance. The menu is quite extensive!

Review for a to go order. Had a good experience eating in the restaurant. Made a significant order early on a Friday night to go. Husband brought the order home and a roll was missing while one looked not so great. When I called customer service completely failed. The restaurant claimed I questioned that roll but didn't order. Interesting. But the best is they call this a baked scallop roll. Usually it comes with mayo and spices on top of a roll. These are pathetic chunks of scallop...lazy A ruined Friday night after two trips to the restaurant. Thanks Sushi Uchi.

Shrimp nigiri, Philadelphia roll (raw salmon) and veggie roll with cream cheese

If your in the mood for sushi and in the area, I recommend you give Sushi Uchi a try. It's a small establishment with a big impression. The staff is delightful and welcome new faces and greet returning customers with a warm embrace. I come here about once a week for my ease my sushi cravings. The sushi chef's definitely take pride in their work and you can tell with each bite. The sushi taste and smell fresh. I've ordered a little bit of everything but I believe in simple things, when done well, so I stick to my usual shrimp nigiri, Philadelphia roll and veggie roll with added cream cheese. If I order all 3 rolls my total is $28 not including tip and I'm pretty full after that. I recommend dining in if you have the time because why not. The staff is very attentive and will make sure your taken care of.

There are so many thoughtful little details in the décor that make it feel special. Every server and staff member was genuinely kind and impressively hospitable, offering a level of service that honestly surpasses some higher-end restaurants I've been to. Now, the food. Their ginger salad might be the best I've ever had. They use romaine and green leaf lettuce instead of the typical iceberg, which gives it far more flavor and texture. The dressing was smooth and creamy--not broken, watery, or overly acidic like so many ginger dressings tend to be. The miso soup also had more depth of flavor than most versions I've tried. A bonus surprise: they have more lunch options than what's listed online, and the in-person prices are actually cheaper. So don't rely on the website--come in and look for yourself. I ordered the chicken teriyaki and sushi roll combo. They offer a generous selection of rolls to choose from, and I went with the Alaskan roll. The filling was plentiful and well-balanced. The rice on the outside was slightly thin in a few bites where the seaweed peeked through, but the overall flavor was excellent. The chicken teriyaki was outstanding--juicy, tender, perfectly seared, and full of rich teriyaki flavor. I also appreciated the unexpected cold bean sprout salad on the side, which added a nice contrast to the meal. Overall, this was a wonderful lunch at a very fair price--only $15. I'd happily return and highly recommend stopping in rather than making assumptions based on appearances or online listings.

When I first had their ramen that's all I could think about when we visited Atl. After moving in the area and having this on a random Tuesday night idk what it was but I got their spicy kimchi ramen and my husband got their tonkotsu ramen and it lacked flavor. I asked for spicy Sichuan pepper sauce on side and all it was doing with a tiny bit in my ramen was making my tongue tingle the whole time. It kind of ruined my appetite. I had this better and not sure why that happened. I was charged extra without being informed of this and I gave her the whole sauce back after telling the server about this. I just like being informed of what I will be charged extra for, that's all. Anyways, overall did not appreciate this location at all.

The place is beautifully structured and I love the concept. The menu is quite intriguing, they have interesting menu items. My Crispy Chicken Rice Burger was quite hard to eat without it falling apart and eating it layer by layer. The Thai Iced Tea was pretty good and so was a Purple Sweet Potato Fries. The Omurice was also good but lacking great as well as the Yinyang bowl. Overall my expectations were not met but glad I got to check out this popular franchise.

The short, thin hostess at the front repeatedly rolled her eyes behind our backs while seating us. I didn't notice it at the time, but our friend pointed it out towards the end of our meal, and it left a very negative impression. Our server was also inattentive. He checked on nearly every table around us multiple times but rarely came by ours. We ordered over $150 worth of food for just the two of us, yet received very little service. Despite that, we still left a 20% tip. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing as well. A lot of the food arrived cold. The quality and taste were nowhere near as good as what we remembered from previous visits. After giving this restaurant multiple chances, we can confidently say we will not be returning.
