Went for a work dinner. Lots of nice spaces to hold meetings. Service was quick and refilled water promptly. Apps were amazing and entrees came out quickly. Lots of dessert options as well- overall everything tasted great and lots of options for every palette.

This place decor is beautiful. It was packed on a Thursday evening. They have great appetizers to choose from such as the fried calamari, the zucchini chips, and the grilled octopus. The Bronzino lacked flavor. My colleagues ordered the lamb chops and said they enjoyed it. The walnut cake was my favorite dessert.

This is a classy, large, expensive Greek restaurant with valet parking on Northern Blvd. in Roslyn. Reservations were necessary the four or five times we've been there and yesterday it was Mothers Day. They put out a little pita and two little dips: very plain pasty humus and even blander babaganoush. My wife and son each ordered crab cake and white lima beans appetizers, but the kitchen put them on the same plate. They both agreed it was delicious and that it was smart they got two orders of crab cake ($32 each) because there wasn't enough for two adults to split one crab cake, which was about the size of two stacked knock hockey pucks. They both ordered the halibut ($46 each), but I got the bargain swordfish ($45). All of us agreed the fish dishes were top quality, very well prepared including the accompanying veggies. I can't name another restaurant that prepares fish better. Two out of the three desserts were winners: my pistachio cake ("portokalopita") and the "chocolatina" (chocolate cake filled with hot fudge ("volcano"), etc. The loser was "milopita" (apple cake), which wasn't cake at all, but more like a flatbread with powdered sugar and a few super thin slices of overcooked, tasteless green apple. The bus boys were attentive, but the waiter was snippy and didn't seem to have time for us. The bill for the three of us with tip was over $300 and the only drink we ordered was my wife's tea.

He was as baffled as me?but I would definitely return

Beautiful place located in Roslyn, this is an upscale place with the prices to match, the service was excellent, an attentive staff with good suggestions, the food was very good, they started with the complementary pita bread with an excellent side of Hummus , and we ordered for appetizers the Octopus and the Fried Calamari, they were both delicious and perfectly cooked, our main course was the Fabri Fish for two, and the Salmon, and a dide of Lemon Potatoes. Both were cooked very well, the flavors were good, and the potatoes were very tasty. We finished with the Molten Chocolate and a Yogurt. Delicious.

Loved my brunch experience at Limani Roslyn! The sushi, shrimp cocktail, and lobster were absolute highlights. The tiramisu was amazing! The staff were super attentive and made sure everything was perfect. They kept refilling our waters and asking if we were doing alright. They didn't rush us at all. The restaurant itself is gorgeous - plenty of space and tons of natural light. They have valet service so bring some cash for tip money. However, I had to give it a 4 stars out of 5 because my friends and I thought it was strange how it was a Hampton Water event and didn't include a complimentary glass. We did end up buying the Hampton Water Bubbly because it was delicious after we tried a sample from their brand ambassador. But, we were offered 1 complimentary glass of either Bellini (the Bellini was delicious), Bloody Mary, or Mimosa which was included in the brunch $80 price. Oh and they included an 18% gratuity service charge to the check for the 3 of us.

Food is delicious, they also have outdoor dining. Our server was great. They also have a large selection of wine. I am looking forward to return for the brunch

Great meal last night - Saturday night, winter-time. Very crowded. Sat in the bar area, could have waited for a table beyond our reservation time, but whatever. Got to sit in Nestor's section which is always a treat. Swordfish was next-level. Best I've had here.

I had a decent lunch at Limani prior to a business meeting. The atmosphere is pretty and welcoming where the servers were very attentive for lunch. The salmon kebab with fries was light and cooked perfectly. The deconstructed baklava was just ok (prefer traditional baklava). I would easily come back, as they weren't busy on a Wed afternoon and I could actually plug my computer in, take calls, and get some work done.

Limani Chips (Zucchini and Egg Plant)

A beautiful Mediterranean restaurant located in Roslyn, about a block away from the Americana Manhasset Mall. The place has free valet parking which often gets filled up on Fridays and Saturdays for dinner in which you would need to find your own street parking. I came here to celebrate a birthday and we did family style. First, they give complimentary Pita bread in a basket as well as hummus dip which is very good. Next, we ordered appetizers to share: the best and crispiest fried calamari I think which goes amazingly with the green sauce, a stack of Limani Chips that compose of zucchini and egg plants both of which I don't usually like but taste great with the white sauce, and grilled octopus which is deliciously made with a variety of vegetables. For the main entree, we shared a lobster pasta and two side orders of lemon potatoes. The lobster shell is placed on the plate just for aesthetics as all the meat is already placed inside the pasta. The pasta is not dry at all. It consists of garlic and white wine. I love when it first comes out hot and steamy. The Lemon potatoes are one of my favorites. They are seasoned with olive oil and lemon juice - makes you want to keep eating it. Lastly, for dessert I ordered the Greek Yogurt which tastes splendid with the honey, berry compote, some kind of fruit, and some nut crumbles. I made a reservation a week prior on OpenTable for a birthday celebration and I added a note to put Happy Birthday on the dessert. But I was disappointed to find that they missed my note completely. In fact, the table next to us actually had "Happy Birthday" sprinkled onto their plate along with a candle. Will definitely walk up to the waiter next time to plant the surprise for the next person I celebrate with!

I went here for lunch. Had the lunch special. Food and drinks were. ok. Service was mediocre. The place itself was beautiful inside. They had parking which is always a plus. Will try one more time but for dinner. I actually went to the other location in Woodbury and the service was much better (will write a review on that as well )

We were there yesterday for a friend's birthday. They sat us down all the way in a congested corner despite having plenty of tables empty around us. Not only that, they sat another couple right next to us to make things worse. Multiple times my friend was pushed by the waiters while they passed through the congested space between the chairs. Even though they apologized, they kept on repeating it. By the behavior of the staff it was quite obvious that they favored other customers than us considering that the couple and our group were placed in a corner. We were pretty much segregated away from others. I have never experienced this kind of neglect and discrimination at a restaurant before. The same group of my friends have dined out at multiple restaurants. And an upscale restaurant to have such a culture is quite disheartening. Needless to say, we will never return and will advise everyone we know not to return as we may not be good enough to fit into the standards of Limani's other patrons. Food overall was ok. My salmon was decent. But we should have brought along a magnifying glass to find the lobster because it was almost nonexistent in the lobster pasta. The desserts were also nothing special. By giving them two stars, I'm being very generous!

Ask the Community - Limani

Are they still have the Sunday brunch?

Yes they do!

Is there a dress code?

Place is nice, guess it depends on when you go and time. I'd say classy casual.

Is it wheelchair or walker accessible?

Yes, from what I recall there are no stairs or door sills to negotiate.

Is this a good place for single 30-something's to meet and mingle?

Probably not the best spot for that. I'd try Louie's in Port Washington (although different overall vibe), 388 in Albertson by the bar or Cafe Continental. Good luck!

Is it wheelchair accessible including restrooms?

Yes

Is valeting your car mandatory? Do they have a private lot where you can park yourself?

Yes there isn't any parking besides Valet parking ... no street parking ...

I opted for the lentil soup. They started us off with complimentary pita and tzatziki dipping sauce. The sauce was so yummy and very fresh. Our food was taking a bit of time considering we were the only ones in the restaurant, I think the server was distracted by wrapping the utensils for tables. She came to take our finished soups. We ordered a lot and the portions are generous, so we had plenty of leftovers. The staff were kind and the standout dishes for me were their appetizers: the octopus appetizer and the crab cakes. Both were delicious and I highly recommend. I feel like sometimes I find the way restaurants cook octopus lacking, but I really loved the way they did it. Crab cakes were similarly so good. Four stars because some of the entrees didn't wow me as much (e.g., the moussaka, pasticcio platter) and the soups that were sides were solid but nothing I'd go out of the way. Overall, a great option in the area.

I'll start by saying that aesthetically, everything looks amazing and the portions are huge. The menu is interesting. There wasn't SO much that I wanted (a strange amount of Panko-breaded options) but ultimately settled on the Pegasus wrap (which I see now isn't even on the menu on the website but is orderable?). It's essentially a lamb gyro wrap with French fries, onions, and spicy feta sauce. The lamb gyro I felt was a bit lacking in both seasoning and amount. I'll never really support raw onions in a dish, so that was a bummer. But what I think really ruined this wrap for me was the spicy feta sauce. I'm not totally sure the thought process behind this choice, but it doesn't work for this combination of ingredients. And I can handle spicy pretty well but this was really quite spicy. I would have much preferred a normal feta/tzatziki combo. And the French fries in every wrap/sandwich is a choice and kind of overpowered the other ingredients. That being said, I would consider going back for something else on the menu because the prices (especially for the portion) is nice.

Wow. What a find…read more First of all, the decor is beautiful: open spaces, super clean with plenty of seating. Service is smart and friendly. Everything we ordered was exceptional. We shared the cold dip sampler (taramasalata, babaganoush, tzatziki) and crispy eggplant and zucchini chips. Highly recommend both...the picky eater at the table (who literally eats no vegetables) couldn't stop eating the chips. Rave reviews of the Alaskan halibut and the pork chop. I had the Rocca avocado salad with grilled chicken. Again-excellent! Dessert? Chocolate mousse and custard - I tasted both and loved each option. The mousse was somehow rich, dark...yet "light" at the same time. The custard was warm and had a thin layer of phyllo dough with a drizzle of honey sauce. We arrived when it wasn't too busy on a week night; I'd recommend reservations on weekends. I'll definitely be back!

Disappointing experience--severe lack of allergy safety and professionalism…read more We chose this restaurant for a family birthday brunch based on its high reviews, but the service we received was deeply concerning. One member of our party has a severe food allergy. When ordering, we explicitly requested that his protein be plated separately from the side dishes to prevent cross-contamination. Our server was condescending from the start, and when the entrees arrived, the allergy request had been completely ignored. When we politely asked for the dish to be remade safely, the waiter stated, "I can bring it back, but you will be charged for the first entree and the second one as well." He then argued with us, adding that "the customer is not always right." Charging a guest twice to correct a kitchen error regarding medical safety is unacceptable. To make matters worse, the manager witnessed this entire exchange and actively ignored it. When we confronted him upon leaving, he refused to apologize or take accountability. We will absolutely not be returning. A restaurant that treats food safety as an inconvenience and insults its guests does not deserve our business.

The chicken souvlaki was perfectly cooked with a great grilled char that added nice flavor without drying it out. Comes with Greek salad, fries or rice. Rice was cooked nicely and the fries were perfectly seasoned with salt and herbs (oregano). The Greek salad was assembled closer to an authentic Greek salad. Fresh ingredients and none of the ridiculous leafy greens, and no black olives here! Rough chop with the right stuff; cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, green bell peppers, kalamata olives and feta cheese. My only critique on the salad was that it was crumbled feta and not the traditional block feta with drizzled, extra-virgin olive oil and oregano. Still better than most out there. Service was just fine--nothing over the top, but efficient and friendly enough to keep things moving smoothly. Overall, Twisted Greek is a good choice if you're in the area and craving flavorful, well-prepared fast Greek food whether you're dining in briefly or grabbing something to go.
