My oh my oh my. This place is out of this world. If you like BBQ, you will LOVE it after eating at Limestone BBQ. I've had the brisket and the pulled pork. I've tried different sides, and I've had a bourbon cocktail. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere is authentic, and the staff is incredibly friendly. A+++++ on everything. If i was going to give one criticism it'd be the price. The drinks are pricey, but the bourbon is of great quality. The food is also a bit expensive, but again, its worth it. I admit it: I'm a barbecue snob. I lived down South for awhile, I do my own smoking (over a wood fire, of course), and I know the difference between good barbecue and "meh." And, let's face it: most barbecue north of about Richmond is "meh." But this place is good - damn good! It has the ambience of a nice cafeteria - which is, of course a good thing for a barbecue place. The barbecue is excellent, especially the pulled pork and the St. Louis style ribs! Went to dinner at 630 with friends. The food was great. The cover band was extremely loud for the time of night. Not only was it impossible to talk to the people I was eating with, it was almost painful. My ears were ringing when I left. I get the vide they're going for, but maybe turn the volume down a bit for the old folks at dinner and then crank it up around 10PM for the drinking crowd. Ok so I'm giving them 1 star because the food is Delicious. The only reason they get a star at all! So I went a about a month ago and we got brisket which looks and taste great! But then when it's time for sides. I noticed when I went to pay for my meal the price was higher than I expected. So I kindly ask the cashier why it was so pricey and pointed out that they were over charging me for my sides. He then tried in a failed attempt to explain the difference between regular and premium sides. So they have 2 sizes for takeout. Single and premium Single is $3 Premium is $4 What they do is advertise falsely. They charge you $8 for a premium side and tell you that you ordered 2. It was really confusing at first but their menu does not provide accurate pricing so be careful! Yesterday was my father in laws birthday so we head to limestone where I notice they have a ridiculous amount of FOOD CROSS CONTAMINATION!!!!!!!! Now I don't eat pork.. and the couples that ordered before us had ordered a feast which came with everything. So as we're in line I'm watching them cut pork and beef on the same counter top! Using the same knife to cut turkey that was just used to cut pork. I was disgusted! Immediately thought back to the first time I came and how they tried to poison me using CROSS CONTAMINATED knifes! Pork juices all over the beef, turkey, and chicken! They give you grocery store "great value" brand bread instead of othering from a bakery If your reading this stay away from this place!! This place has the best ribs I've ever had. The meat is juicy, well seasoned & falls right off the bone Their sides are good too, a little overpriced but good. I am a self-proclaimed BBQ snob. I have my favorite places in the south, but rarely find anything that competes around here. This BBQ is good - really really good. We were headed to a concert and this place came to mind. I got the combo of ribs and brisket (asked for lean) with Mac and cheese. Portions were good. Both meats had a nice thick rub and ribs were cut and were fall-off-the-bone. The Mac had a great taste - not too much cheese and not to greasy with the baked top piece I like. Why 4 stars? Sweet tea from a bottle (may be due to COVID?), no corn muffins (instead the single piece of sliced bread not put on try to absorb anything, just on the side) and the sauces were tasty, but a bit too liquid and less of a "sauce." I know that is largely preference. Also, final bill was pricey $60 for lunch with needing additional tea drinks. read more

Delicious food! It was a bit confusing at first, but the service is extremely fast. I got the 1/2 pound brisket with mac and cheese and slaw. The brisket was absolutely delicious! The slaw and mac was outstanding. The pickles were yummy! Pulled pork was moist, fresh and honest the best I have had in a while. If you have ever gone to Sonny's barbecue in Florida, it's very similar. The Mac and Cheese was good too. All their BBQ is excellent, but the ribs are life changing. I can't believe this PA establishment literally has the best ribs I have ever had. Sides are excellent and the decor is just perfect. First time visiting and thoroughly enjoyed it. Would recommend sharing the samplers as it is a lot of food. The Mac and cheese is fantastic. The meats are delicious. We were there when it was not very crowded so the personal attention was very strong but I believe they probably are always very nice and attentive. Please keep in mind that this is a counter served resturant so don't go in and sit down and expect your food or server to show up. We will be back. We visited on a Friday night. At 5:30 there was plenty of seating by 6:00 they started to fill up and by 7:00 and when the music came on they were just about full. At no time was there a line for food service. We had the Philthy Sampler for $27.99 and included 3 meats (brisket, pulled pork, smoked turkey) 3 sides (collard greens, brussel sprouts, mac and cheese). Peach cheesecake. Pickles at the fixins bar were complimentary. Pros: - Nice atmosphere, cool theme and decorations. - It is new and clean. - Large seating area. - Staff is friendly. - Food presentation looks great! - Live music.The evening we were there the music was very good and not too loud. - House made pickles. - 16 oz cans of beer are $4.50 Cons: The food - Very Expensive. - Our cut of brisket was overly fatty. Like bacon. - Too much vinegar on the pulled pork. No, Carolina style does not mean this much vinegar. - Collard greens were salty and also had too much vinegar for my taste. - It seemed like everything was over salted. - No bottled beer, no draft beer. Annoyances: - Long wait at the bar even when it wasn't crowded. - We were seated near the restrooms and every time the men's room door was opened the smell of urinal mints filled the air and our noses. We moved to the bar to escape the smell. We may go back for the music one Friday or Saturday but for BBQ we'll stick with Dickie's down on Rt 40. Dickie's doesn't have the same atmosphere but the food is better and more appropriately priced. read more
