I like the atmosphere. Very relaxing. The food was delicious and the server was really kind. 2-hour free valet parking. It's inside of hotel and it was a great surprise. :)

I really enjoyed the ambience of this restaurant. Beautiful decor, ambient lighting, and an overall vibe. It is located inside the beautiful Hotel Nia, one of my favorite Autograph Collection hotels by Marriott. The Wagyu burger was a great choice and I really really enjoyed the unique offering of garlic fries instead of the traditional or truffle option. This really was a standout of the meal. The burger was flavorful and cooked to my desired temperature. Tommy's Margarita (not pictured) wasn't as tasty as I expected but it was still a solid tequila choice. The best part of the drink was the dried pineapple slice. My waitress even brought me extra at my request which I appreciated. Overall 9/10 experience. My server was nice and attentive.

Food was solid. Restaurant is beautiful. Located inside the NIA hotel, this is a well designed restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Although the outdoor patio is beautiful and dog friendly, they have a lot of yellow jackets flying around which are attracted to the food being served. Be careful if you chase these insects away when they hover around your table. Use your napkin, not your hand. Their stings can be painful, and if you are allergic to bee stings, I don't recommend outdoor seating unless you want to stab yourself with an EpiPen or take a trip to the ER. The yellow jackets leave when the sun starts to set, so if you are allergic and insist on sitting outside, wait until sunset. No self parking. Valet parking can be expensive but the first 2.5 hours are free if you are patrons of the restaurant. Staff are very courteous.

I came here for a birthday dinner about 2 months ago for a friend. We were a party of about 20 with reservations so we were seated immediately. Our server was great, very attentive but maybe a little overwhelmed. He did great regardless. There weren't many people in the restaurant and it's a beautiful restaurant. The food was fine. It wasn't spectacular but definitely decent . I had the spaghetti which could have used a bit more spices. My friend has salmon and enjoyed it but agreed that it could have been better. I would come back again as the prices were good too.

    Nice cocktails.

I routinely stay at the hotel Nia and this is the hotel restaurant, which is surprisingly good, if a bit over-priced. Still having a good restaurant in the hotel to do dinner at when you're getting home after a long day is definitely appreciated. My two go to dishes are the pan-seared salmon and the burger. I occasionally also get the squid-ink spaghetti with scallops as well. The salmon is usually my go-to and it's always well cooked with crispy outside, but tender inside. I really like the black lentil salad with the mustard sauce. The contrast of the strong, tangy mustard, salmon and lentils really works. The burger is much more traditional, but still great. It's got the artisanal bun, rich patty, and the toppings you'd expect along with a nice side of crispy fries. Definitely filling and also somewhat more sanely priced. I don't like the spaghetti with scallops as much as the others, but it's good for a break. It just doesn't stand out as much as the others. When eating with a few more people, I often like to get the blistered peppers and really enjoy them. They're not really spicy, which is a good and a bad thing, but super yummy with a bit of smoke, a tiny bit of heat and a lot of salt. The drinks are good as well. The cocktails are better than the beer selection. You can usually get a dry cocktail that's really good. The apple scotch sour is my go-to, but the spiced old fashioned is also good. I'm usually more of a beer than a cocktail person, but the beer selection here is just OK. They have a few local things, but nothing that stands out and they don't rotate them much. Also, it's definitely not a beer bar and you'll have to ask pointedly to find out more than the brewery and style, e.g., if you want to know exactly which the IPAs that the brewery makes you're drinking.

First of all, the ambience of the hotel and restaurant is a 10/10. Staff here are very friendly and customer oriented! The food was worth it! My favorite and what i recommend is the Steak Perigoux! Cooked to perfection! Will definitely come back here and bring the family!

    Chicken (room service)

This chicken is as terrible as it looks, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Chicken was tough, rubbery and flavorless, vegetables were undercooked and floating in cold broth. For $32, this is ridiculous and a scam. You'd be better off having a microwaved meal.

Lunch at Porta Blu is nice. The restaurant is located on Nia hotel. The decor is so nice and relaxing. The place is good for lunch with a group of friends getting together. Burger and Omelette are decent. The service is a little slow, but we got outdoor seatings with a nice view. So it makes up for the wait.

Don't miss Eggs Benedict with salmon! Great venue for breakfast / brunch gatherings. Modern and fresh interior design, team with great respect to alien traditions - e.g. we gathered with friends (7 ppl) to celebrate Orthodox Easter. Team was almost a part of our celebration, which is so precious! Also, the place is very spacious, wonderful outdoor area for kids' free play. Coffee was very good, classical Verve. Eggs Benedict served with salmon were the best part of my brunch -- sauce hollandaise was not too salty and not too intense, so did not dominate the flavor of the meal itself. Steak could be better. Mimosas were strong, cork popped for us - bubbly and good! Cheers, Porta Blu!

It was said so many times that the whole table immediately felt rushed instead of welcomed. To make matters worse, we were seated on the outdoor patio during a cold, windy day, and the heat lamps didn't seem to work. Not exactly the best setting when hosting business guests. Even though we arrived on time, menus didn't come until around 1:15, which left us with barely any time to order before the hard 1:30 cutoff they kept warning us about. Then right at 1:30, we were told the kitchen and bar were closed, so no additional food or drinks could be ordered. I ordered the stone pot bibimbap and it missed the mark. The rice should have that crispy texture from the hot stone bowl, but instead it was wet, mushy, and didn't feel like a true bibimbap experience. The most disappointing part was being asked to leave around 2:15 while people were still finishing their food and drinks. Overall, it felt more like we were being managed out the door than hosted. I was genuinely embarrassed to have brought corporate guests here.

If you care about your waistline, do not get the Umami Fries with curried ketchup; that pile of deliciousness will have you addicted like a fiend with its tangy, savory flavoring. Deviled Eggs were standard, if not for the hint of kimchi. I didn't try the Chicken & Waffles or BLT my table ordered. I ate my fair share of Lemon Butter Prawns; a side comes with six pieces & trust me, you won't want to share. The Loco Moco was incredible -- earthy mushroom gravy over sticky sushi rice and a chuck & brisket patty. Topped with an egg (made over medium like I requested) & finished with a side of arugula salad (my favorite greens) & I was full for days (just kidding, hours.) We ordered a lightly-dressed Caesar Salad with avocado just to cleanse our palates from all the rich textures & flavors. I'll be back for dinner STAT, so please save me a seat.

Mom recommended RH, THE ROOFTOP RESTAURANT at RH PALO ALTO. She called the restaurant and was able to book a 10 AM reservation for three. Located at the Stanford Shopping Center, we were able to easily and quickly find parking in the spacious lot. We arrived a little early, so walked around the Restoration Hardware showroom for a bit before walking up the stairs to the upscale restaurant perched on the third floor. The mansard space, with its floor to ceiling glass walls and roof, emulates a giant dazzling sunroom with trees growing out of the floor and elegant glass chandeliers hanging above nearly every table. The modern fountain and airy ambiance provide a relaxing setting for a nice meal while soaking in the glam surroundings and sunshine or admiring the beautiful sunsets. Outdoor seating is also available in their wraparound patio with comfy couches. RH PALO ALTO offers elevated American eats, plus beer, wine, and cocktails. The menu leans into opulent, fancified takes on classics, serving decadent dishes like CAVIAR CARPACCIOS (ranging from $18 to $28) and other CAVIAR SPECIALTIES such as GRILLED AVOCADO WITH CAVIAR ($38) and IMPOSSIBLY THIN HOUSEMADE CHIPS & DIP (15g $55, 30g $95). Below are what we ordered: LOBSTER ROLL ($36) - Z found this to be very good, I thought it was meh. The lobster could have used a bigger Dash of Mayo. On the small side. SWEDISH PANCAKES ($18) with fresh strawberries (for an extra charge) - I was disappointed that these pancakes were not served with the traditional lingonberry butter. These were not even warm enough to melt the slices of butter that topped them. KING CRAB ROLL ($58) - Also a petite serving, but this sandwich was tastier than the lobster version. Z said that it was very good, just like the lobster. HERITAGE PORK SAUSAGE ($12) - Flavourful; however, served cold. TRUFFLE FRIES ($20) - Fried to a perfectly golden crisp. RH BELLINI ($18) - Kudos to RH for serving an authentic bellini with genuine peach purée. This cocktail was yummy. Supposedly the BELGIAN WAFFLE was so remarkable to draw Mom back multiple times. Unfortunately, we were told that that they were no longer serving waffles. Mom was very disappointed by this. To boot, service was nothing to rave about. It seemed to be a bit challenging to catch the attention of our waitress to inform her that all of our dishes were served cold. When we finally got the chance to tell her, she didn't say much and appeared to leave us hanging. Later, the manager on duty came to speak with us, replaced most of the cold dishes, and comped an item. Still, this did not remedy Mom's dismay. She said that she will not return.

Wow. Could not have been happier with the food!…read more Will present the food in the order I would recommend: Banana fritters- soft clouds of fried dough, over some rum dark chocolate sauce. Divine! 7/5 Curry cauliflower over a red non spicy sauce. Refreshing! The flavors blended together with the flavorful but not overpowering flavor, with the well balanced sauce underneath. Could not stop eating it. $17 8/5 Mezze plate - the coconut feta was very creamy and good, I really enjoyed the pomegranate arugula salad with pickled onion and with the pieces of falafel inside. The flatbread was a little hard, but good. The eggplant was good and hummus also good. $32 price a little steep for the platter 6/5 Impossible cheeseburger - classic impossible burger. The standout item was the fries, quite good! Crisp outside and soft inside. 5/5 French toast - ok, a little dry, the berry sauce was good but lacking a little dynamic flavor maybe some citrus? 3/5 Cookie with vegan ice cream. Alas, pastries are still difficult to make well vegan 3/5 Service was a little distracted and hard to order. Bussing was very on top of it. I will return for the top items

Food is good and the murals are nice however it is pricey for things that don't justify a premium…read moreprice. Beyond products cost more but cauliflower and potatoes don't for example. The portion sizes were ridiculously small...the grilled plate for two for example was really an appetizer plate for a peckish small teenager for $43. Service started out decent, but our male server got a little cold and standoffish after sometime. I don't know if it is because the place got busy or what but we felt awkward. The overall vibe was blase with a we're too cool for you attitude. Staff should be able to handle a busy friday night without ignoring some customers. There wasn't any real table maintenance. We had everything we ordered still on the table for awhile until we flagged down staff a few times. They removed things after knowing we wanted to order more things I felt. The chairs were uncomfortable and the table set up for parties of 4 were too small.

4.5 stars. This is a sister restaurant to spruce…read more Food is excellent. We sat at the bar for light fare and wine. They serve half glasses of wine so you can pair wine with each course of the meal, which is fantastic. We ordered: - Yellowfin tuna tartare - steak tartare - burger The Yellowfin tuna tartare was my favorite but even though I didn't like potato chips as the vessel for serving the tuna tartare. The steak tartare was fresh, served with egg mixed in. My husband loved it. The burger was juicy and my six-year-old daughter finished the entire burger minus the lettuce and tomato. The food is top quality. For wine, we had the sanger sparkling wine (good one to start the meal), nerello mascalese rose (pretty good) and Sonoma coast Pinot (well structured). Like spruce, Selby has a dark formal ambience. Better for weekend long meals. Service was excellent. We got plenty of gluten free bread with the tartares. The round tables in the bar area is small. Hard to fit more than 2 dishes at one time when you have sharing plates, wine glasses, and water.

Selby's offers an American continental cuisine, and we were curious in checking this restaurant out…read moredue to them having 1 Michelin star. Overall, our dinner tasting was enjoyable; we chose: +White Asparagus 'Oscar' - prepared with dungeness crab, jidory egg jam, and a bearnaise sauce +Petrossian Caviar Service - served with jirdori egg jam, creme fraiche, and pickled red onions; you have an option from Royal Baika, Royal Daurenki, Tsar Imperial Ossetra, or do a flight; go for the flight to get a good sampling of it all! +the Pan-Roasted Pacific Black Cod - with lentils du puy, king trumpet mushrooms, and beurre roughe +the Petit Filet - 7 oz; with swiss chard, crispy artichokes, black olive tapenade, and puffed rice +the Passion Fruit Tart - with swiss meringue and preserved kumquats +and, the Cremeux de Citeaux - with local strawberries, marcona almonds, and an olive melba toast Everything was plated well and aesthetically pleasing; we enjoyed the caviar service and the desserts the most. Service was attentive and efficient; the restaurant itself is dim-lit, with dark wood and leather features. The seating was comfortable. +tasting menu +reservations accepted
