    The wonderful ceviche salad!
    Elysabeth R.

In town for a reunion and staying at a motel right down the road... the good reviews encouraged us to give it a try, so we walked over. Not only was the food delightful (and very reasonably priced-- son got a 4-roll lunch special for $17!!), but the service was charming and attentive. Noticing how quickly we drank our waters, the waitress brought us a pitcher. Love the little things! The ceviche salad was my favorite, though the wasabi crackers appetizer was also great! All four of the kid's rolls were delicious, too! I also appreciated that they let me omit the octopus from the ceviche salad-- not every place will allow alterations to prepared dishes; but they did so cheerfully and without a fuss. A definite recommend!

Great sushi, great apps, grandfather is always watching over the shoulders to make sure everyone is good. Service is great. Very respectable sashimi, whole fam holding it down here.

I have been a loyalist to another sushi restaurant on Rt 6 for years, and I while I do still love them, I recently moved so it's not as convenient for me to pick up when I want take out and they don't deliver so I had to look for another option for takeout Sushi and that's how I found Mizu. I've only ever ordered through door dash so I can't speak to the service or the restaurant vibes, but I can talk about the food, which in short has always been great! My order has been spot on every time and it's always ready super fast, even on presumably busy weekend nights. Everything I've had has been super fresh and tasty and I'm never disappointed. I definitely plan on dining in at some point to check out the restaurant itself. But for some really good, quick, and fairly priced takeout I 100% recommend!

Delicious, fresh Asian food! Take out was so good after a long day. Great local place, conveniently located on Rt. 6 Seekonk. Dine in or take out, I picked up take out but the ambiance is very nice at Mizu to dine in as well, small but has a nice cozy setting if you feel like eating out. Great sushi and I especially love their veggie fried rice, and their rice in general! No photo of the rice because I had already seriously dug in before my little photo shoot at home. The family that owns Mizu is so kind and attentive to their customers, great service:)

Located in a small plaza I didn't know what to expect coming here, but the reviews definitely were good enough to try this place out. As soon as I walked in we went to the bar and were greeted by someone who seemed to be the owner and he was very nice. We didn't know what we wanted to order and he not only gave us suggestions, but was nice enough to have a little small talk with us, which showed me he was interested in who walks into his business. I ended up getting the chicken and shrimp hibachi, which was really good and made exactly how I like it! Everything was made great here and service was awesome! A must try for someone looking to try a new sushi/ hibachi place!

From the miso soup, Korean dumplings to the Philadelphia sushi roll I had! Very friendly service along with the delicious food! Such beautiful decorations inside that make you smile when you walk in! My husband had the caterpillar remix and dragon with a side of sweet eel sauce and he was in heaven! My son had a Philadelphia roll and the à la carte nagari with salmon and he was so happy and he said it's the best sushi he's ever had! We found this sushi spot on our way back from my son's soccer game after seeing the high ratings…read moreand multiple posts advertising it as a top Yelp location. With a 4.6 rating, we were genuinely excited to try it. Walking in, first impressions were great. The inside of the restaurant was super cute, the artwork was beautifully done, and the initial greeting was welcoming. Unfortunately, things started going downhill pretty quickly after that. We had a few questions about the menu, but the hostess seemed confused and didn't really understand what we were asking, so we ultimately just gave up and ordered what sounded good. Food-wise, it was very mixed. The sushi roll was phenomenal...genuinely the best part of the experience, and my son absolutely loved his. The shrimp udon was okay, but the portion was noticeably smaller than what most sushi places serve. The salmon poke bowl was very basic and honestly underwhelming. I also asked for spicy mayo, which was never brought out. The biggest disappointment was the service. Paying $4 for a canned soda with no refills already felt excessive, but when my son accidentally spilled it, we cleaned it up immediately ourselves. No one offered extra napkins, replaced the plate, or even asked if we wanted another drink. It just felt inattentive from start to finish. To make matters worse, one staff member was sitting at the bar listening to something loudly on a laptop, which completely took away from the atmosphere and felt unprofessional. As someone who used to waitress, I understand the service industry and I'm usually a generous tipper. But I also believe tips reflect service, and unfortunately this experience missed the mark. After picking up our receipt, the hostess was visibly unhappy with the tip amount and had no issue making that clear which only reinforced the poor experience. I very rarely leave one-star reviews, but for a place with a 4.6 star reputation and "top-rated" marketing, this was incredibly disappointing. Cute atmosphere and one great sushi roll aside, the service and overall experience were just not what we expected.

I am a sushi lover and typically when visiting I will get sushi. The sushi has always been pretty standard for me with no real stand-outs. I did visit a few weeks back and was really disappointed. The rolls had the potential of being unique, but the flavor just was not there. I got the Hot Lover roll and the Monster roll. I was just hoping for more with both. I enjoyed the Monster roll more than I enjoyed the Hot Lover. My party also ordered the Ichigo Wontons and Veggie Tempura. Both were also mediocre. I was the only one in my group to order an alcoholic beverage and everyone else ordered fountain drinks. Everyone got their drinks before I did (which I would understand as they were only fountian drinks), but we also got our appetizers before my drink came. It took at least 20 minutes for my drink to get to me. The drink itself was okay - I got a martini. Overall, I probably wont visit again unless I am going for Hibachi.

In a state with no shortage of sushi options, this has remained my go-to spot year after year. At this point, I think I've tried either everything on the menu or come pretty close to it. That's what happens when you keep returning to the same place for over a decade. The reason I keep coming back is simple: consistency. The fish is always fresh, the sushi is well prepared, and the food is reliably good. If I order something cooked, it arrives hot and exactly as expected. There are restaurants where you're rolling the dice every visit. Haruki East has never felt like one of them. The restaurant itself is clean, comfortable, and easy to get to. The location is convenient, and the prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food. That's become increasingly rare these days. The only reason I'm stopping at four stars instead of five is the service. While I've never had a genuinely bad experience here, the last few visits have been noticeably slower than I remember. Service has also felt a bit inattentive at times, and these weren't during packed dinner rushes or busy weekend nights. Nothing terrible, just enough that I found myself waiting longer than expected for drinks, check-ins, or the bill. That said, the food continues to be excellent, and that's ultimately why I keep coming back. After 15 years, Haruki East has earned a level of trust that few restaurants achieve. When I'm craving sushi, this is still the place I think of first. The occasional service hiccup hasn't been enough to change that. If you're looking for fresh fish, a broad menu, reasonable prices, and a restaurant with a long track record of getting the important things right, Haruki East remains one of the best choices in Rhode Island.

It is small on the inside, but there are plenty of tables and there's a sushi station, where you can watch them make the rolls right in front of you. We got seated next to a wall, so it felt semiprivate. My friend did warn me the food takes a while to come out, so I placed my full order all at once. For sushi, my friend and I ordered the Tempura (8 pieces), Yam Roll (8 pieces), and Umeshiso (6 pieces). We also shared the Shrimp Yakisoba. The sushi came out after about 25 minutes and the noodles about 15 minutes after. The sushi pieces were a lot smaller than what I am used to, but I really appreciated that the ratios were still right and I didn't have to break a jaw to get it into my mouth. The shrimp tempura was the one I was most familiar with and it was very tasty. The yam roll was delicious and almost tasted like a French fry. The Umeshiso was unique. It was very salty and limey with a subtle mint flavor and a sweet after taste from the plum paste. The shrimp yakisoba was incredible. It was very flavorful; the noodles were perfectly cooked, there were lots of fresh vegetables, and about 4 big and juicy shrimp. I enjoyed my time here. As one of the highest rated sushi bars in Providence I have to say I was very disappointed to say the least. The quality of the fish and rice was that of which you would find at most any sushi restaurant, overly saturated fish lacking in texture. Hard stiff sushi rice laking texture and flavor used for the nigiri (possibly due to the quality of fish on top). This was also a first time for me finding a bone in the sashimi or receiving Kani as part of a house sashimi. They also had Maine Uni available, the portion of Uni was the smallest I have ever received just 3-4 gonads atop very stale rice wrapped in a nori paper which all completely overtook the flavor of the Uni its self. As a whole I would judge Ran Zan as a baseline sushi restaurant by western standards for the quality of its ingredients and the quality put into the preparation and presentation of its dishes. 4.8/10 if you want sushi go to your local spot or look further for the real high quality sushi restaurants/bars Providence HAS to have better to offer.
