    Senior turkey dinner
    Andrew S.

I was here on a Sunday night about 6:00pm waitress was friendly but definitely a preoccupied teenager.Prices were well within reason. My food came out hot and in good time. I ordered the senior turkey meal. It had big chunks of turkey in it. Not sliced turkey breast. For flavor of the value I recommend this place. I will be returning.

It's your basic diner just off the tourist area in town. The place is clean and the prices are great. There appeared to be a lot of locals in here the morning we came in for lunch. Straight forward menu and friendly service all the way around. We had the Reuben and also the "Rachel" (turkey reuben) for lunch along with fries and onion rings. NOTE: lunch sandwiches do not automatically come with fries or onion rings or other sides to boot, those are additional. The restroom is located down a steep and narrow set of stairs.

Food was absolutely delicious, our server was absolutely amazing including the other girl that work that day, my apologies cause I don't have the girls name my best friend and I have. Pleasant visit we absolutely loved and ready to come back, calm ambiance friendly and quiet

Lincoln Diner - Gettysburg, PA Wonderful service and a HUGE menu with something for everyone. The grilled chicken was absolutely delicious! Prices are affordable, portions are generous, and the simple but cute atmosphere makes it a great place to relax. Perfect spot for big families--highly recommend!

I always come here as it's a family tradition. Food is great, prices are unbeatable, staff is friendly and they're always quick, food comes out fast, loads of seating. It does get packed every now and then, but that's not something to consider bad. I highly recommend coming here for breakfast, if not lunch

Solid breakfast in a historic 1950s Silk City dining car. Quick, friendly service. I love the fact that the Gettysburg railroad track runs next to the building. You can certainly find fancier, more flavorful breakfasts in town, but for a decent affordable breakfast in a historic setting, you can't do much better than this.

The food was awesome. I love an old school diner. The staff is super friendly and the order was correct. I got a western omelette with a side of crispy bacon. It was perfect. I had an orange juice to drink. It's from the machine but still pretty good. Parking is either on the street or a very tight parking lot on the side of the diner. It can be tough to get in and out of there. Bathrooms are down stairs. Definitely try this one. Other reviews almost deterred me and I'm glad we went anyway!

Review The Lincoln Diner in Gettysburg,PA has an old fashioned lunch counter section and a regular dining section. The food selection is the same for both. There is breakfast all day, hours 7 am to 9 pm, and a family friendly atmosphere. No alcohol served here. First off, the coffee is really good. No fancy specialty coffee, but the flavor is indicative of a freshly ground beans. Our waitress was absolutely a scholar of the menu and knew every combination backwards and forwards. She and her trainee refilled drinks at the proper times, got us our food quickly (still hot), and was so nice! The menu was wide ranging from all day breakfast to a traditional steak dinner. The Lincoln Diner also has a Greek flair to it (the current owners are from Greece) with Gyros and Spanakopita available. Portions sizes were very large. I got a Gyro, wife a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich, spaghetti and meatballs for the youngest, and breakfast French Toast and eggs for the oldest. Everybody agreed the food was delicious. A large selection of pies and cake was available for dessert (we couldn't have any-too full!). And the price was a just right fit: around $56 for the four of us. The walls are sparsely decorated with a couple paintings/prints with a fresh coat of paint. Country music is piped in while we were there (neither good or bad depending on your music taste). Something for everyone at a great price. I recommend Lincoln's Diner in Gettysburg.

We had breakfast here w/ my boys and we all enjoyed our food and service. Sausage gravy had a good amount of sausage in it. This was satisfying and gravy over my home fries was a first a great idea. Ambiance was like a 50's diner w/an addition. The front part is nice and cool, the addition loses its luster. Bathroom is in the basement and isn't handicap accessible.

Stopped here while staying in Gettysburg. Located right behind our hotel - it was an easy walk in the morning. There is plenty of seating, not just a regular diner but also an extra seating area in the rear of the diner. Ordered a breakfast sandwich - went with scrapple egg and cheese. Added home fries which were more like actual potato slices grilled crispy. Liked those a lot. Just a solid diner. Waitress seemed like she hated her job. I can relate. Would recommend

This place wasn't bad. I would never have chosen it, and it's not on a future hit list, but if you have to eat here, it's fine. Our server was very new, but friendly. I did enjoy my grilled chicken sandwich with fries. Cherry pie was awful though. Served cold and had no flavor. Desserts in the dessert case look good, so not sure what happened with the pie. Quite sad, considering this is a diner. It's fine if you live here, but as a visitor, I would go somewhere else.

Had breakfast at the Lincoln Diner both mornings I was in Gettysburg. Both times it was a hearty and delicious meal. I had pretty standard fare both days (over-easy eggs, hash, and English muffin) but the food was fresh and well-prepared, the portions were plentiful, and the service was top-notch. Will go back when I next visit Gettysburg.

Great food ! Plenty of it! Eggs are huge, home fries are REAL home fries, Just an old fashioned diner, no frills but friendly staff and great food. Some really delicious looking desserts in the case.

I had a ham and cheese with rye toast and my dad ordered a western omelette, but swapped the ham out for sausage and asked for two sides of scrapple and home fries. The omelettes were stuffed. I've never seen so much sausage in an omelette as I did that morning. The rye toast was only very lightly toasted.. I prefer a little crisper. My dad's home fries were seasoned well and the scrapple was thin and crispy. He loved it. The inside of the restaurant is small and homey with all of the expected diner touches (signs, and barstools, etc.). There are two unisex bathrooms and the one I used was a little dirty. If we're looking for diner food in the area, I think we would definitely stop in again for a quick bite.

My wife and I both had the shrimp baskets and two soft drinks for lunch. The shrimp baskets were $17 each and the soft drinks $3 each. With tax and tips the total bill came to $50. The shrimp were obviously pre-battered and frozen but they were pretty tasty. The french fries had some kind of a nice crispy coating and were excellent. The coleslaw was pretty tired. The service was cordial and quick. The decor is as I remembered very nice. There is free parking behind this restaurant, but not many people know it is there. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is because I think that the cost of the luncheon was a little more than it should've been for what we received. Had the shrimp been coated with a batter and fried from scratch (instead of being taken out of a frozen bag) I might've been able to award five stars. But... All in all this restaurant continues to hold its "very good to excellent" reputation for food and service over many years. I would die there again and I would recommend it with no reservations.

We were there on a busy Saturday; they were clearly slammed and probably understaffed, and it took a bit over 20 minutes after ordering to get our food. Other than the wait for the kitchen, the service at the table was very good. It felt a bit pricey at about $62 for two with tip. Cheesesteaks were good but on the small side for $17 and $19 (the latter on a gluten‑free bun), and a little light on the Cheese Whiz. That, plus a cider and a Coke, left the overall experience somewhat underwhelming.

Of the two servers they had, we had the worst of the two. She disappeared from the floor for long periods so it was difficult to even get a drink refill. Ended up sticking with water as the one cocktail I had was clearly a mix and also seemed to have no alcohol in it. Appetizer selection was limited to seafood or onion soup. Don't like seafood? Tough luck. If you like seafood with some variation of Old Bay then you'll probably like this place. Although there are much cheaper places to eat if you just want basic northerner seasoning. The restaurant was not advertised as a seafood place otherwise I would have avoided it. I ended up ordering a steak, which came with a salad and a potato. The salad and potato was the best part. Despite ordering the steak medium rare, it was unevenly cooked and dry with a leathery exterior. I would have sent it back but I didn't want to spend another hour trying to get someone's attention to resolve it. If I ever find myself in Gettysburg again, I will be sure to eat elsewhere, this was not good value for money.
