I go to the aquarium store in this plaza all the time and finally decided to stop on it, and it did not disappoint. I was craving an ice cold Agua Fresca. Cute small location, that gives off a typical "Michoacana store" vibe. Service was great, was offered to sample any flavor. Just note this is a small scale location so don't expect a wide range of flavors, but they sure do have the most popular ones. I would definitely be stopping by more often in the summer. read more

I bought 4 single scoops and didn't make it home before taking a bite out of each. Literally, a bite. Without a spoon, since I refused the spoons offered, thinking that might increase the odds of my kids actually getting their ice cream if I didn't have a way to eat it while I drove the few blocks home. But instead, I opened each container and bit off a chunk of each. My kids never knew - the scoops are very generously sized! These Michoacana ice cream places are pretty good. I tried the Chocolate Abuelita flavor - Mexican chocolate and it was a tad different than the typical chocolate ice cream. The downside is that they don't offer a handpacked option; scoops or cones only. I'd put it ahead of a Badkin-Robbins type ice cream, but not ad good and an Oberweis or a good gelato place. Nice to see a fair number of these shops though, and happy that this store is fairly close to home. Person working the counter, maybe the owner, was really nice. I'll be back for more. read more

Ice cream was fresh and delicious. I had the pistachio which is my favorite flavor and my boyfriend had butter pecan and strawberry. We both enjoyed it. I'm excited to try the Eloté next time I'm there :) Service was outstanding too. The owners were there finishing up last details before the grand opening, they opened the doors for us and we got to try different flavors of ice cream btw very delicious They were actually very happy that we stoped and complimented how good the ice cream was. I'm so happy I finally tried this place! The staff was so friendly and they had so many options! I got a mango paleta and my bf got strawberry yogurt paleta, both made with milk. First, let me just say that I had spent the last 9mo searching for Linda Michoacana. The original location was just a few blocks away from my home & I was there at least once a week. You could only imagine how heartbroken I was when it closed! BUT my sad days are over because I finally found the new location! I originally fell in love with the Mangonadas, it's what hooked me in the first place! Let me tell you, that NO ONE makes it the same! The mango ice cream used in it is unparalleled, and also they add real mango pieces which no other place does! Then eventually I started broadening my horizons & tried their other ice cream flavors & the paletas & trust me, they did not disappoint! Everything is homemade, & I honestly believe the owner, Graciela was born to make ice cream! She has the magic touch & can seriously make any flavor of ice cream completely delicious! When I first walked into her new location she let me try all of her new flavors, she offers a taste to anyone who asks--doesn't matter how many! I literally tried all of them! I had pinenut, Mexican chocolate (which I took home), mango, strawberry, corn (Yes corn! & it was surprisingly delicious!) and also tequila! (I came in on cinco de Mayo) They were ALL amazing! No other Michoacan ice cream place even compares! They all are popping up like Subways now but LINDA Michoacana is where it's at! It's gonna be a longer drive for me now, but it's 100% worth it! I can't say enough about this new ice cream place. It's incredible! First, the gentleman that works there (I'm presuming the owner) is the friendliest man on earth. He encouraged us to try anything and was so patient with my three kids who had a hard time deciding. He explained that the ice cream is a family recipe from Mexico. Everything we had was seriously delicious. We had the cheesecake, pine nut, mint chocolate chip, and grandma's chocolate. I was very impressed and I really hope this place thrives. Love the selection but you can taste that some have artificial flavorings and it ruins it for me. Artificial cinnamon, vanilla, even watermelon are gross when you pick up on it and it's so unnecessary. Watermelon doesn't need anything else. It's so sweet and flavorful! Real cinnamon is so cheap there's no need to use fake stuff. I really had high hopes for this place. I tried twice and in a pinch, I might come back but I'm pretty disappointed. We'll see. read more

And if you daily try one flavor of fruit ice bar (paleta), or ice cream bar with a multitude of available toppings, it likely will take more than a month to experience all the flavors. So many other choices, including Mexican specialty foods. You will want to come back again and again.
