This restaurant caught our eye because it served pizza. They had a nice patio in the back (dogs allowed). We ordered their Pesto Spaghetti, Chicken Pizza, and Garlic Bread. I was pleasantly surprised with this place. To be honest, I wasn't expecting to stumble upon such a delicious pizza in a small town. If this place were in LA, with its myriad dining options, this place would still get my business. To sum up the pizza: Firm crust (the slice remains parallel to the floor when lifting it off the plate -- no drooping; that's a win for me). This characteristic belies the topping load -- you may think that to sustain such an unfazed structure the toppings must be sparse, but you'd be mistaken. The pizza was generously loaded with a bevy of quality ingredients. Also, the crust, despite its slight crispness, was not a thin crust; another win for me as I feel thin crusts typically can't maintain a large topping load. Note that my review is based on the Mediterranean pizza and BBQ chicken pizza. The ambience was fun -- rustic with a wooden interior/exterior. It had kind of an old-school 80s vibe (you can order pitchers of soda, for instance -- I don't think I've seen that for awhile). Both indoor and outdoor seating. Solid option for families. read more

If I'm being totally honest, we came here because it was one of only two places in the entire town that was open late and dog friendly, so our options were limited. They have a dog friendly patio in the back but you can't get to it without walking through the alley and we didn't feel like sitting out in the cold anyway so I waited in the covered entry while my husband ordered us some sandwiches and fries to go. The decor was dark and outdated but there was a little bench by a tree where I was able to wait comfortably. The prices were a little high, the wait was a little long and in the end, the food ended up being disappointing, especially for what we paid. However, there were a few families inside having pizza, so I am willing to concede we may have just made the wrong menu choice for this particular location. read more

Pineapple on pizza was sour and gave the pizza an after alcohol taste and when I notified management they said they checked the ingredients and there's no reason why it should taste like that. She was extremely rude and offered other pineapples to put on and take off the others lol wild. I haven't been on yelp in years but this deserved a review. We discovered this place a few years back after going to another pizza place regularly when we came to cambria. This was so much better than the other place by a long shot. However, it's been almost 2 years since we've been in cambria. I was excited to go back here because I remember it being so good. This time however I had an experience I've never had, the pizza tasted like it was made with frozen dough. It was cooked all the way through but looked and tasted mushy. It was also significantly more than last time which I expected but I felt like the price was way too high for pizzas. The service was ok and we had a few times we were waiting awhile to get a refill after we got our food. I wish I could say more things about how awesome the experience was but that about sums it up. JBJ pizza is so good that we don't have much left over from our medium pepperoni,mushroom and olive size tonight. The decor is old school western and clean. Re: ambiance, there is a western theme, a sort of rustic feel, and a couple of vintage arcade games. The indoor has window seating that overlooks the Cambria street below. My experience took place in the outdoor patio, which is a more plain but pleasant environment. I'm sure it's very nice at night, as it looks like there're hanging lights. A shack whose purpose is mysterious and almost ominous sits in the corner. It's priced well, the food, and while I can only speak for the pizza I'd say it's well worth it. The one downside--and this may be more of my genetic disposition rather than any fault of the pizzeria's--was an absolute ravaging of the roof of my mouth from the pizza. The crust is a little rough for my taste, which may have been the culprit of my mouth's roof's laceration. read more

OMGosh! This place is fanTAStic! We're visiting Cambria for one night and didn't feel like driving any place to find dinner since we'd been driving all day. We found their printed menu at the hotel lobby, then got online to peruse it in detail. We ordered a Medium 1/2-&-1/2 pizza: Jody's & Mediterranean (which I'd subbed black olives for the spinach). I wasn't able to complete the order or make any substitutions online, so I called the restaurant directly. The response was immediate and the ordering process was easy, with the substitution being no problem. She quoted me 35 minutes for delivery, and I don't think it was even 20 minutes. The delivery guy was super smiley and friendly, clearly enjoying life. The pizza was piping hot, like they pulled it out of the oven just seconds before, and, then it was time to taste. Wow. This was some of the tastiest pizza we've had -- and we just had pizza in North Beach SF last night which was good, but not THIS good! I am so glad we chose to order delivery from Round Up Pizza. It was quick, convenient, absolutely delicious, and one of the most positive dining experiences we've had in a long time. Well done! read more
