The orange chicken was so gas, never had it made like lin's makes it. Their egg rolls are ssooo goooooddddd, DONT sleep on the eggrolls!!

Very good, fast and reasonably priced. My fav is MooShu Vegetable. Have been there at least 5 t8mes for dine in and take out with family.

The food has little to no flavor and the service is horrible. Our waiter was wearing sweatpants and neglected us. We had to get up and ask for everything from random employees walking around anytime we needed something. There were two other tables seated and another waiter, so staffing wasn't the issue. My daughter ordered the vegetable soup, the "broth" tasted like dish water and the vegetables weren't cooked at all. I had Mongolian beef, wasn't horrible, but pretty flavorless. Out of our 3 dishes, it had the most flavor. My husband got a spicy dish, I can't remember what it was, but it had no spice and absolutely zero flavor. We won't be going back, I had high hopes for this place, especially since it is so close to Update: My mom has picked this up and brought it over a couple times and it wasn't as bad, still isn't good. The General Tso's chicken was very good, large pieces of chicken, crunchy exterior and tender inside. The bowl of house won ton soup was tasty, chicken, shrimp, beef and lots of veggies. The chicken pad Thai was excellent. As always my wife and I shared everything. Very good food and service. We'll try them during the week next time because the menu says they have great prices on their lunch plates. The only thing I can think of to improve this place is more condiments on each table, all they have now is salt, pepper and soy sauce. read more

The service here was above average. I had beef with snow peas over fried rice. My fried rice wasn't the greatest, but it wasn't bad either. Beef and snow peas were good. My dining partner had the cashew chicken. She enjoyed her meal too. We had an order of crab rangoon as an appetizer. We both enjoyed it. We haven't found a really good Chinese place here. Went in for lunch. Incredibly starving. They have a rather large lunch special section. It comes with your choice of rice of white, brown and fried and v either egg roll and soup. I got the orange chicken. It was a rather large portion and not super spicy which was good. Their egg drop soup was good and you yolks. Their veggie egg rolls were delicious and perfectly fried. It's not overly busy and they have quite a bit of space. Definitely a good lunch space. read more

No. Lin's is not consistent. The previous order was very good, so we decided to try their Pad Thai. It was the worst Pad Thai I have ever had. I should have returned it, but it was takeout. Noodles were mushy. The vegetables that we could identify, were not fresh and the entire thing was brown and dry. If you are a Chinese restaurant, and can't make Thai food, you shouldn't put it on your menu! They weren't even the right noodles! read more

I've been ordering takeout and dining in at Lin's Cafe for about a year. It's not world class Asian food but it is usually good. See below for more on that. The people working at the restaurant are a family with a few hired workers. They're all very nice whether dining in or picking up. The restaurant is in a strip mall anchored by a grocery store. The decor seems a little old, but it's clean and not overcrowded. I think most people are doing takeout, but I do see people whenever I'm there. I have to say something about the consistency of their food. My last takeout order was $70 of really bad quality food. I ordered a couple dishes that I liked before and what I got was not the same. The Mongolian Beef was spiced with some chili oil, but no dried red chili peppers. Otherwise a bland looking rendition and missing something to make it tasty. The Chef's special Happy Family was previously wonderful, but this time was visually a cremated greasy mess which looked and tasted nothing like what I had before. The Lo Mein noodles were flavored with some kind of mushroom infused oil? It looked the same as before, but was unappetizing and tasted off. The best part of the whole meal was the simple steamed white rice. I wonder if they changed chefs, maybe short handed, or how the quality could be so off. Previously I would have given it 3 or 4 stars, but after this last order it heading down to 2 stars. I'll give it another try, but if the next order is as bad as this last, that's the end for me with Lin's Cafe. read more

My mother and I decided to order their Orange chicken and Mongolian beef but we asked for less sauce on the beef and when we drove about 15+ minutes to pickup the food there was a normal amount of sauce. That wasn't the deal breaker the deal breaker was a few hours after we started feeling a little ill but didn't think much of it until we realized it was food poisoning from the orange chicken. An absolute gem of a restaurant. We had searched high and low for a good Asian restaurant, and was delighted with this close find. We have never been disappointed. The food is super fresh and tasty. We are very happy they are open for dining again, but even when we ordered delivery the food was amazing and got to us SUPER quick - like, how did they even get there so fast?! We've gone three times and won't return because the food just doesn't taste or have the texture of chicken as either of us has ever eaten. Twice was with at least 6-12 people after playing sports and very few enjoyed it. Some returned again and two people had the "runs" that night after eating the same dinner. Wife and I tried it a couple weeks ago. Was busy. Service was just OK. Cut a little slack for being new and getting in their groove. Food was good enough, a little sweet, but good enough. I had low expectations and they were exceeded. I'd go back for the convenience of it being close to home. We decided to give it another try yesterday. Long and short of it was we got up and left before ordering. Guy waiter has no people skills, was not friendly and I'm not giving a place like that my money. If you guys were even remotely good as some of the Asian I get in Houston, I'd give you a little bit of break as I do some of them, but your food was OK at best. You need to earn repeat customers and having wait staff that very much should not be wait staff is not going to do it. read more
