Decided to try it since I live in the area and always see business. It was $38 for buffet for 2. Rice was hard, chicken was rubbery and the quality of food was generic. Over priced for what it is. I love their Sushi selection, by other buffet selections this one is kind of small in comparison but I only eat steak sushi oh and kimchi my all time fav...there have been a few times we have gone and its dirty as heck, I understand that some people are inconsiderate and dirty but it goes with the territory. read more

What a buffet! I was shocked to see pictures of fellow yelpers enjoying plates of crab legs, frog legs and oysters on the half shell. So I had to see for myself.. Well sure enough our group of eight had the pleasure of getting in on this feast and we sure enjoyed it. Everything from the rice ,egg rolls to beef and broccoli was hot and fresh, I didn't get to try everything but I sure would like to return again for some of them steaks from the grill area. One thing that was really impressive to me was the service. I have been to more than my fair share of buffets in San Antonio. You can barely turn a corner or cross a street without running into one. I finally got to try Lin's International Buffet and I have to say it is now my go to buffet place! So much variety, so many options, and the opportunity to try hings I hadn't tried before was a welcome change from the basic noodle and rice dishes. From Dim Sum to Steak to seafood....just an incredible display of food choices. And the staff has never been anything short of friendly, courteous and hospitable. Major kudos to them! Some may say it's a little bit pricey, but give it a chance and you'll see where the extra money goes (it's not THAT much extra , really). read more

This place and maybe King Buffet on Bandera are the best Asian buffet experience you can get in San Antonio. Lins is good for the seafood. King buffet has better Chinese food options imo. Crab legs here at lins didn't look like much, but they tasted great. I liked that the sushi buffet had mackerel, salmon, and, tuna sashimi along with regular rolls of random stuff. The sushi rolls mostly consisted of imitation crab and cream cheese, the fried rolls were my favorite. I really wanted to come here because I saw that they had DIMSUM!! I haven't had dimsum since I left San Francisco. Soooo... As it turns out. The dimsum section is very limited. They have one dumpling that is shrimp and pork mixed with water chestnut as a filler. I wish they didn't add the water chestnut, the consistency reminds me of raw potato almost. Other than that the dumpling was tasty. What I really wanted to eat was the meat bun, so I grabbed three potential "meat buns". One was custard egg filled, one had no filling at all, and the last one had sweet meat. Now this is why I paid the $15.00 to eat here, just to taste the meat bun and see what's up. Well it's your standard issue meat bun "char su bao" that you can buy frozen at an Asian market and microwave. I was really hoping that the filling was going to be plentiful and delicious. It's not. This meat bun scores a solid 2 out of 5 stars. I've had my fair share of cha su bao and manapuas in my life so I have earned the right to be a judge! Anyway. Besides my personal bit, everything was great. Our server was awesome and the rest of the food was fresh and tasty. Coming here was definitely worth the money. Went there for the first time at lunch today. Clean restaurant. Just opened a week ago. They have a Mongolian barbecue which I like to pick my own veggies and meats to cook. The had plenty of items to eat, fish, shrimp, crabs, osters, frog legs (uuggg!) chicken, beef, ribs, veggies, fruits, ice cream, well, they had a little of everything. The food looked really good, although I am not a buffet person (which means I don't go unless I really have to). I liked the Mongolian because I picked what I wanted and it was nice, hot, spicy and I added chunks of pineapple to my dish. After I ate that, I wandered around the buffet, Had some sushi (was ok), some ribs, a piece of Mongolian beef with broccoli, but the food at the buffet tables was a little less than warm. Guess, since I went right at 1110 AM my guess is that they turn on the burners at 1030 to heat up the food. I like to eat food at a hot temperature, but the food at the buffet tables were warm to say the least. Also ate some fruits and a cookie (was really hard). Other than that, it was ok I guess, maybe I should of gone at a later time when I know the food would be hotter. As any new restaurant, this one just opened, and smelled new. I will check it out one more time later this summer to see if it got better. read more

The only thing this place has going for it is it's brand new since it just recently opened in the last 24 hours (12-26) as typical with all buffets, the food was average at best and barely at room temperature. Tried the crab legs and they were cold and chewy and the egg drop soup was just okay. They do offer a few American items such as pizza, chicken nuggets and even a small steak, if that's what it's supposed to be. This place was by far one of the best buffets in San Antonio. They have loads of selections. I like how not only do they have soft serve but real ice cream by the scoop. There sushi selections had many options to choose from and the sushi bar was full. The brisket was cooked to perfection ( so tender it fell apart easily ), I kept going back for more. The only thing they could improve on was the way they cook the food on Mongolian grill. I had shrimp in my dish and it was still kinda crunchy but had a really good taste. My family and I tried Lin's for the first time and were pleasantly surprised! I'm very reluctant to go to buffets because they're usually dirty, but Lin's is amazingly clean. I always saw someone at the buffet refilling food trays and wiping down the counters and sneeze guards. The servers were very nice and were constantly moving around. The food was great too. I definitely got my money's worth as I got my fill of crab legs and crawfish, which is expensive anywhere else. Great flavor on both and I don't mind crab served on ice. First time I have been here in almost a year. The first time is was fantastic, tonight, not so much. The ribs were so over cooked and dry you could chip a tooth on it. The butterfly shrimp was cold and like eating a piece of rubber. Tried the chicken nuggets my kid got and they were hard as a rock. Ordered a steak medium rare and it came to me well done. I don't know why some people are complaining about the food being cold, it's a buffet, sure the food is under some heat but it's not going to be extra hot. I liked the food and the selection! The sesame chicken, and chow mein were incredible! The pizza, chicken nuggets, fries, and baked potatoes were also delicious. The sushi was great and fresh! The only reason I am giving four stars is because the ribs had a little too much fat on them and the dessert wasn't all that. The pudding was bland, and the little cakes they had weren't great. The ice cream was also way too stiff to scoop out, my boyfriend and I were holding up the line just trying to get one scoop! Other than that, I would recommend this place! I will definitely be back! So not to be too critical but I've been to allot of buffets in my time. Some good, some bad and some incredible. Compared to this place they now all seem a million times better then this place. I was really let down from the very start when you walk in. They require you to pay and TIP!!! first for some odd reason. That is slightly weird but ok I was still open minded. I approached the buffet and was a little put off buy it. The sushi wasn't tagged just on plates with tongs laying on the sushi itself, gross because the part of the tongs that people touch was touching the sushi. Next you look at the buffet and see nothing but Asian style rice, chicken and beef. The name of the buffet was Lin's INTERNATIONAL Buffet so I was thinking maybe something from at least a few different countries. Nope just your regular Asian buffet. Never again. read more

This is the best Chinese Buffet that I have had here in San Antonio. The Jalepeno Beef is really good and flavorful as well as many other items and both times I have been the food was hot. Would have given a higher score but super disappointed to find out that crab legs are not served on Friday nights. I rushed over here after hearing all the hype from friends and relatives. But come to find out we were really disappointed in the food. Most of the food didn't have any flavor just bland. I think the only thing I ate that had flavor was the steak and that's because I ordered it medium and they prepared it in front of me. Besides that,it's pretty much a typical Chinese buffet. I do have to give them credit though this is far the most cleanest restaurant(buffet) I've ever been to. Plus it's very nice inside, oh yeah before I forget you also have to pay before they sit you down. And for the service............. what service I don't think I saw my waitress/hostess but only 2 times when we orginally sat down and the last was when we were done. Most buffets are the same except this one because they have so much sushi options more than any I've seen in SA. They have oysters, and a chief to cook your own steak how you want it, Mongolian stir fry how you want it, dim sum, and frog legs !! They have all the basics of food buffets and a little more. Wow wow wow! This place is amaaaaazinggggg, they have everything you need plus crab legs every night, not like at other buffets were its only on the weekends. My husband and I are regular customers here, we dine here fairly often. We're satisfied with the buffet food choices- our favorites are the chow mein and crab legs everything else is meh. My family and i went to this buffet called lins for the first time for my 16th birthday. We decided to go to this buffet because it was recommended by a family friend. When we got there we got out of the car and the building looked very welcoming. When we stepped inside it was very beautiful, the smell was filled with all sorts of food. It overall had a friendly vibe. The price of the buffet was also very fair i would say. The buffet had an array of food going from seafood to chicken to pizza etc. The buffet basically had everything u could ever want to eat and it was very delicious. This buffet definitely bests golden corral in almost everyway. The staff was also super polite. Buffets are not my favorite, but this one is pretty good. Tried a few standard Chinese dishes and everything was well-seasoned and not too greasy. Nothing remarkable but good for a buffet. We often try new places now big on buffets but I had read some reviews on this place and we all could not decide on one thing so we choose to try Lins and boy was it a great choice they had fresh delicious verities the guy that makes the steaks for friendly and personable our steaks were delicious. And oh my gosh was the brisket the best I've tasted in awhile . All around we had a great Saturday night dinner .our server was consistent on picking up dirty plates also. read more

We are visiting from Spring Tx.we came in an hour before closing and everything was still hot and they continuously brought out fresh food throughout the night. It was very good We had an exceptional waitress who admired our children and we admired her for her hard work and friendliness.We will definitely come back when we are in town.
