I have to thank the people who turned me on to this place. Not being a native to San Antonio, we've struggled to find Chinese food that we enjoy. We've ran into sweet and sour chicken fried chicken, and sopa fried rice. The food looks and tastes fresh, and the variety of sushi is great. Something that I've never seen at a buffet was Dim Sum; they have a variety of Dim Sum and it was very tasty. I came to Lin's for lunch on my way to work one afternoon. I was immediately blown away by how playfully festive their Christmas decorations were. The staff greeted me with a smile and although the place was quite busy at the time... they effortlessly guided my super hot southern bell lunch date and I to a clean table. Bathrooms can be a deceptively nefarious place at buffets... i mean come on endless food... with such variety... you get it. So I make it a habit to check out the facilities prior to deciding what to eat just in case I need to dictate my choice of combinations of foods to keep me out of a disgusting place. Great news! Coast was clear. The bathrooms not only looked like they had been cleaned... but had an impressive "stall to toilet distance" ratio going on in the mens bathroom. This is a deal breaker for me so for you other clean bathroom enthusiasts out there... You're safe at Lins. The food was excellent. The staff cheerfully cooked my Pho & were happy to prepare my choice cuts of meat with a smile and a thank you. 5 stars for me guys. Excellent buffet!!!! Great selection. The food is fresh and the areas are kept clean. The staff are polite. They have a sushi section that is very sanitary, well kept, and lots of choices. You also have an option to have a steak grilled to your liking, which they do a good job at. The servers do excellent at keeping up with the drinks!!! I typically do not visit buffets. Well, I'm huge on seafood. So this place is awesome to me. Oysters on the half shell, frog legs, clams, and a wide variety of sushi. The other Chinese food items here are delicious as well. Overall, my family and I were satisfied with this place and do plan on returning. Only downside was, some of the items weren't hot, just lukewarm. read more

Paid 33$ for two of us only to have cold ass Chinese food. Only thing that was hot was the egg drop soup which had peas and carrots that was gross. And everything else was cold as hell. I don't know why some people have a negative review on this place. I walked in and was amazed. Wasn't greeted by a fan but by 2 very nice ladies. Got my table and went to work. The buffet is huge and lots of variety! My fav is always the sushi bar! I was stunned to see so many different options on there. I think I ate too much! I only got a pic of my first plate of sushi! But trust me I ate much more. My waiter Roberto was awesomeness as well! So polite and around whenever I needs him! I will be taking my family back. My husband wanted to give this place a try. Needless to say, we won't be going back! All three strikes in one shot.. nasty food, hair in Mike's shrimp & My step father literally had a roach run from his plate to the top of his arm!!! We were against the wall right outside the kitchen doors, so I guess the roach initially crawled up the wall. Idk The waitress saw that my step father knocked the roach off of him & she felt so bad! We paid $70 & they refunded $15 smh What a terrible experience!!! The only thing positive was the waitress was nice & attentive, so the experience didn't affect her tip, but we will never return!! read more

I'm usually not a fan of buffet's, but the food here is good. They have a large selection of items and if you have a family member or friend that doesn't like Chinese food, there's some brisket, ribs, sausage and a few other items to try. Crab legs are available after 4pm. Steaks are also served for dinner only. Call ahead if you're wanting a certain item and are unsure if it is available before 4pm because some items are for dinner only and not the lunch special. Wait staff will pick up your plates often and refill your drinks. Over all, dining here has always been a pleasant experience. They have a very large dining area with plenty of tables, so even on busy days, we never had to wait very long to be seated. It's worth going to at least once. It's better than some of the other Chinese buffet places in town. read more

We were celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary on Wednesday. The food was great as usual, but, when I asked for unsweet tea, they didn't have any. Then, my husband told me that he had asked for a knife. Good manners include handing a knife to another person with the sharp edge towards you. He told me that the waitress handed him the knife with the sharp edge pointed at him!!! Not good!!! He feels that this waitress wasn't trained properly at work and by her parents. I wanted him to exclude a tip for this waitress or just leave her a $1, but, I think he left her more than that. read more

For being an international buffet, the food was pretty good! More than decent I should say. They even had some good fried tilapia and freshly cooked steak. What probably makes this a great deal for people is that the meal per head can range up to $12.00 per head with drinks. How can you go wrong with that? Rude person who brought us to our seat. Cannot speak clearly and was rude when I told her I didn't understand what she was saying. Even my husband didn't understand her. Forget about her. We saw the foods, ate the foods and they were incredible for the price and selection. We ate salmons sashimi, crab lege, craw fish, beef steak, oysters (not so fresh) prawns, frog leg, warm apple pie, ice cream and etc and thoroughly enjoyed them all. I went last weekend on Saturday and it was great! I had Beef and Broccoli, Rice Noodles, Chicken w/ Zucchini, Combination Fried Rice, Shrimp w/ Zucchini, and Cookies and Cream Ice Cream. I walked in today and got greeted by no one my party was waiting at my table so I decided to go ahead and seat myself but I felt uncomfortable seating myself because I didn't want to get in trouble for not paying at the entrance. As I was walking to my table I asked an employee if I could pay for my seat or if it was free in a joking way and she processed to respond with a nasty attitude I went to seat at my table after a few words were exchanged and she went back to my table and started arguing loudly with me in front of my family. I'm a waitress myself and I have never seen such a nasty attitude towards a customer. This is horrible service at its finest. read more

I remember when this was furs, they have definitely gotten better with Lins. This has a whole lot of space and you can have a working lunch which is what I was able to do. They have a variety of different foods all over and the most delicious sushi. It's a buffet that does not disappoint, you do not break the bank either. What can you say about a Chinese buffet that's not already said? Well let me start out by saying some people are totally paranoid {Gavin S}. Anyway I gave it an extra star because of the sign. Now, the buffet is crowded, good sign, I head for the sushi/ sashimi and it looks very good and fresh. I then head over to the Mongolian stir fri, Again looks fresh with plenty of items to choose. The egg drop soup is a little thin but tasty. I start my journey with sushi, seaweed salad, coconut shrimp and a spring roll. I then head back to Mongolian and plated an assortment of veggies with chicken and stir fried in hot garlic oil. The sushi was very good, seaweed salad was ok kinda salty, the shrimp was great and my stir fried was the best I've had. I then try the broccoli beef, very tender but no flavor. The deserts are standard Buffett except the ice cream. I cannot eat anymore not even the real ice cream. I know in 2-3 hrs I'm going to be hungry again. Right! That's why I love Chinese. Over all Lin's is a good buffet, I probably will not be back. I am a fan of Kings buffet on Bandera and it is closer to home. And they don't have a sign. Your typical Chinese restaurant but does have a good selection of sushi that is decent fresh. Also seafood wise it does have crab leg, shrimp, and mussell. Was disappointed that they posted a sign saying they only serve oyster when it's affordable or to some sort of that nature. Was actually one of the things I was looking forward to. read more
