I am currently sitting in the car waiting for my boys to finish eating. The smell drove me away, it doesn't help that almost everything on the buffet looked old and soupy. Tried the beef and broccoli, coconut shrimp, egg rolls, and some type of chicken dish. No flavor. Man, this place doesn't let down (for the most part). But it is def worth a shot! The prices are actually really good compared to the buffets around SA. Now, once walking in, you are greeted by the manager, which is where you pay. The interior is nice, a little dark, but nice still. Once sat down, I always go straight for the food. You'll see all of your selections there, on my photos you can see the selection I chose. I always eat the lomein, rangoons, egg rolls, beef broccoli, grilled chicken and the steamed vegetables. This is not the King Buffet you're looking for. I was in SA from out of town and heard excellent things about SA's King Buffet. I went on a Friday night and my first clue should have been the empty parking lot. When you enter, you're supposed to pay for the meals immediately. That was really weird, and now I'm convinced it's a tactic to prevent diners from leaving after they realize they went to the wrong restaurant. The staff were really nice and I got consistent water refills, but that is where the good ends. The dining area looked like some 80s steakhouse throwback. The sushi was okay to me but my sister hated it, the mei fung tasted like packing peanuts, the chicken on a stick had a strange, unpalatable cloying sweet taste imbued in the meat. The crab Rangoon shell was stale and chalky and the innards tasted like hot miracle whip. So so terribly disappointing. Would not recommend to anyone. read more

After church stop. We had been here years ago. This trip was pretty much bad. The worst general chicken we've ever had. It had just opened and a lot of the food was cold? Don't get it. The staff was great though. It's hard to say exactly what was right. They had this desert with crumbled cookies on top, similar to banana pudding, that was surprisingly good. This is a photo of my receipt for me and. 12 yr old. We come eat a late lunch shortly after 2 and we get charged dinner prices. I ask the manager how much the buffet is as I'm looking at the receipt he has $18.99 and I tell him on the website it says $12.99 he said that not the correct price. He tries to show us a price for after 3:30. It's 2:22. Hence the 2nd picture. I ask for my money back before stepping away from the counter. He said well you can't get your money you have to wait 7-10 business days. He keeps trying to justify himself with pricing. Fix it online and you won't have a problem. It's not even dinner time. We went their on a Sunday about 5pm. We have not been there for a year and don't plan on going back. Nothing had a taste. The steak that was there was dry, Ribs were dry. We went to Kings buffet around 5:45 and had to wait on food it took them 35 minutes to get food out they ran out of the crab legs seem to never come out and when it did there was a line and only 2-3 people got to get some and had to wait another 20 -25 minutes a couple of times as they never put out enough. The Mongolian beef was so good but, that is cook to order and the guy that work that area was awesome. The restrooms were clean. I wish that they had the food ready because it was a Friday and everyone was coming in and they were not ready, what a shame. The salad bar and soup bar were great. Parking is plentiful, location is easy to find. During dinner time, the line can move slowly. Service in the dining area is fast and efficient and the area is clean. I loved our server! Our empty plates and soda cups were addressed quickly. My reason for the one-star demerit is regarding the food. Big items like the crab disappears quickly as people pile on their plates after having waited in line for what can seem like forever when you're starving. This means only about 7-8 people will get some crab and another 30 min wait for more crab resumes. Super annoying! An easy solution would be for the cook to distribute one piece per person from behind the counter. Period. This way, no one walks away disappointed. I saw one guy load 5 whole crabs onto his plate. The Mongolian grill area makes it worth your while to come here. I like to get shrimp, bean sprouts, noodles, jalapeños, garlic, and the garlic oil. The sushi isn't all that good but I like a lot of the other menu items. They have good rangoons, dumplings, and some good chicken dishes. This establishment is really hit or miss depending on the day of the week. Our recent visit was in the middle of week with very little traffic. As you can assume, less people equals older food on the buffet line. In general though, they do have a good selection of seafood, sushi, Asian food staples, as well as kid favorites like chicken nuggets. I've been to tons of hibachi buffet and I will say this one falls right in the middle of the bunch as far as taste, price, and selection. The week days are a bit less than the weekend if you have flexibility when you come. My strategy usually is go for a big plate of hibachi, mix in some sushi, get a small sample of anything that looks interesting and then come back for 2nd or 3rds if something stands out. Staff was nice, decor was cool.
