I have two Pronto 8 bikes, his and hers, spent over $1700 total. Today two spokes got busted on hers from normal riding. I called in to check if they repair the wheel and replace them.. Adam "the owner" answered and gave me a run around... And it went like this: Let me talk to the service manager. They are backed up and no place for more bikes. Two weeks wait. Then I said ok, I have the wheel off and I can bring it or pick up the spokes. He said I don't know if we have them in stock and we might need to order them. I said: Ok. Find out. Oh I have hundreds of parts in stoke and I have to call you back. Really? At this point it was clear that they do not care about servicing their customers or standing behind their product. Ordered a rear rack from linus bike online. They sent the wrong size. Took several tries to get a hold of them, and a bit of waiting for a response. Once I got ahold of them, they took care of the issue and shipped me a new, correct size rack and a return label for the initial shipment. So I think the service was very good, once we got it started. I think the time taken is a result of them being a smaller shop instead of a big huge online retailer. read more

From reading the reviews and comparing to my experience. I can say in person visits are the best. They don't have a huge team, it's a heritage brand...not Amazon. The staff has been helpful every time I've visited no complaints. My Linus bike is amazing & I ride to work everyday. I had my chain swapped out in shop & next I'm changing my tires. Not a big review guy but I have to give praise where it's due. First of all, I don't even have a Linus bike but for some reason I still wanted to stop by and see if they could help put a rear rack and one of their baskets on it. The first guy I met, Richie (Ritchie?) was the man. He let me know that their parts and accessories are typically made just for Linus bikes but he'll see what he could do. Theirs didn't fit but he was so nice and gave me a bunch of tips so I went to get a rack somewhere else but came back to get a crate from him at Linus. While they were installing, Richie started telling me all the details of my bike which I didn't even know of and giving me tips on what locks to buy and not buy (even if they didn't carry it themselves). Richie is definitely just a guy passionate about bikes and you can tell he genuinely cares about the customer. I overheard a convo he was having with another customer while I was waiting and the guy wanted the bike today but getting it shipped and delivered would take longer so Richie offered to deliver it himself after work just so he could get it today. I know that even if I didn't buy a thing there at the store, it wouldn't change his willingness to help me regardless and that deserves recognition and praise. read more

I've been wanting to buy a Linus bike for about 5 years. Today my dream came true. First my girlfriend and I visited the store about a month ago to see what color/style we wanted. Jacob and Aaron showed us different models and let us take them for a quick ride. They were very knowledgeable and passionate about what they sell. My girlfriend liked the Dutchi but didn't like the shape of the handle bar. I liked the Roadster sport but didn't like the height of the handle bar. They were able to accomodate our needs and customize our bikes while retaining the factory look of linus. After our bikes were built, we returned to pick which accessories to be installed. Their showroom was already full of goodies. However, Aaron and Jacob went a step further and brought out even more items to choose from (from the back). The results are beautiful looking unique bikes that are comfortable to ride as well. My girlfriend and i absolutely love our bikes and are eager to find time to ride together. I truly appreciate Linus for building timeless examples like these in days of electric bikes and scooters. Not to mention friendly staff that are super helpful. Worst customer service experience ever!!! I ordered a bike from them. At the time of placing the order, they told us that bike will be available a few months later due to pandemic. That is ok and clear. However, they did charge us upfront. We were a bit surprised, but let it go. As the time passed, the the delivery date kept pushing. Once around 5 months had passed, we asked them to cancel our order. Since then, we stopped hearing back from their customer service. At the time of posting, we have called them over a dozen time over two weeks and send a similar number of emails. But haven't heard back. We are trying to figure out our options to get a refund. read more

Linus not only makes a stylish, durable and dependable bicycle, but they also take amazing care of their customers. I walked in today unaware of the time because they weren't open yet. That didn't stop Melody from opening the door for me with a smile and "come on in, we're just about to open." I told her I was in the hood and just wanted to see their take on if I needed new tires yet. You see, I've only picked up biking this past year and because of my Linus bike and new found passion, I bike 12 miles every morning from Venice to the Palisades and back. Melody far exceeded my expectations! Not only did she tell me my tires were fine for now, but she showed me what to look for, brought out the tools I needed to acquire and offered to give the handle bars a little tune up...which I totally needed but didn't know...they were loose and aligned wrong. After all that I said, how much do I owe you and she said, "ah, you're in the Linus family now." Then we spoke about my future Linus bike, the Pronto! Ohhhh, the Pronto ....I took it for a ride around the block and I won't rest until that beautiful midnight matte blue bicycle is mine! It's matches my Thousand helmet perfectly. Which brings me to another point I wanted to hit on in this review... SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BUSINESSES! This is a family owned and operated business in the heart of Venice. Okay, you may not need a bike right now but if you're thinking about buying accessories like a Thousand helmet or whatnot, check these guys out first. Yeah, I could have bought that helmet on Amazon but it was the same exact price at Linus Bikes, so why wouldn't I want to spend my money on my local businesses. We want them here for the long run so we must all support each other in the community. People often think prices can be inflated but do your research first and put your money where your mouth it. Support your local businesses! You're putting food on multiple families plates when you do that. Might take some more time but isn't it worth it? I've wanted a Linus for YEARS!!! but haven't made the purchase, that is until yesterday! :) I am the proud new owner of my very own bicycle and I'm counting the days until I head back to Abbot Kinney to pick this beauty up and bring her home. I called Saturday afternoon to see what they had in my size, Small. I'm petite and they don't usually have a lot of Small bikes so I was told they had one in Canary, while yellow is my fav color I knew I wanted a black bike. I planned to head over to try it out and then place my order after that. I'm so impatient I'm surprised I was able to wait until the next day without placing the order online but I wanted to really make sure that I selected the correct size with guidance from the professionals. I arrived at 11A to great service, got my bike ordered quickly and we were on our way. I'll update my review after pick up, but I'd highly recommend this location. I could have purchased a Linus from a few select other stores in SoCal but why? Oh, and the sale!!! All bikes are 20% off right now. Score!!! It's a good thing because now I want tons of accessories for the thing (bell, basket, rack, Brooks saddle, need a lock, probably should get a helmet). They have it all! I wandered in here on what was there 1st week open - with a low-air tire and rusty pokey-outty spokes. The owner pumped me up, and totally sold me on Linus, I love the company. Purchased my black roadster years ago and it's been the best bike I've ever owned. Then recently, after a long move to the East Coast, my bike got scuffed up pretty bad. I reached out randomly online to see about getting the color so I could hunt down some touch-up paint. My gift for Christmas was to select a bicycle of my choosing, so I researched different brands and shops in the area. Of all the shops and bicycles I looked at (3 different shops) I was the most impressed with Linus. The sales associate was extremely knowledgeable about the bikes and helped us select one that fit my needs. After the test ride I knew this was the one for me. Compared to the other test rides I did on other bicycles in other stores, this was the most comfortable in all aspects - from the real leather handles, to the comfortable seat and body position, and the step-through frame design. They also had a variety of accessories, so after selecting the style of bicycle I liked, I took some time to select the right accessories for me. Retro style headlight and taillight, with solid and flashing options, Linus 'Dakota' basket for the front, 2 canvas bags for the rear rack, and a matte black helmet. The sales associate showed us 4 different locks - they have top of the line locks. Given that this was the most comfortable bicycle, all accessories I needed were available at the store, the sales team was friendly and helpful, and it's a local Venice brand, I would recommend a Linus bicycle if you're looking for a high-quality, forever bike. read more

Just got a brand spankin' new Linus Roadster Sport for Xmas and although I love the bike, I'm even more pleased with the staff at Linus -- extremely friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. This is my first bike (as an adult) and I was a little nervous going into Linus. I figured that since I'm such a novice, I'd be treated differently or not given any attention since I'm not a part of the "biker" community. Once I arrived, I was shocked and so grateful that the staff was more than willing to spend the time with me that I needed to choose the appropriate bike AND answer every single "stupid question" I had. Now that I got my bike, I've gone back twice to have them teach me how to lock it, ask more random questions, and help me adjust the seat to the appropriate height and they were just as friendly. Plus I didn't have to wait or make an appointment. I fell in love with my Scout bike the moment I saw it a year and a half ago. I stretched my budget for it and it was my primary form of transportation for nearly a year. Unfortunately, there was a problem with the chain guard, and that problem became unavoidable after that time. The issue was something my local bike shop couldn't fix, so I was directed to Linus HQ for the repair. An unexpected afternoon in Venice: for this downtowner, a little inconvenient. But I really wanted my beloved bike back, so I loaded it up and drove west. The repair took almost an hour, with a few test rides in between. Turns out, there was a piece missing, causing the chain to fall off. The bike experts fixed it, tuned it, and made sure my ride was smooth and working well. While I was there, they also remounted my light and put a new striker on my bell. And they did all of this free of charge! I was expecting at least a nominal fee which I was ready and willing to pay, but because it was a manufacturing issue they took care of it for me. Riding my bike is a joy. Test riding it with the friendly people in the shop willing to make all the micro-adjustments necessary was ecstasy. For that kind of service, buying a Linus bike was absolutely worth it! read more

I'm looking for a fun commuter bike. After going to a few bike shops that are authorized Linus dealers, I opted to go to the showroom itself. I mean, I buy my Macs at the Apple Store, so why the hell not? The bike shop is located down a little walkway on Abbott Kinney and is delightful. The bikes are all outside and then there's a sparse shop inside. I had already tested the Dutchi at another bike shop so I tried the Mixte here. The guy who helped me was actually helpful and knew the product well, which was a huge difference from all the authorized dealers' knowledge of the product (i.e. slim to none). There's a public parking lot in the back where there's enough space to test-ride. Though I haven't yet bit the bullet and purchased a new bike, but if I do, I think I'll be heading this way to get it. read more

Just bought a bike from here. The classic roadster in the new limited edition color stone grey. Their bikes are nicely designed and an nice alternative to the hyper customized fixie wave. Chad was so friendly, knowledgeable, and super helpful. He let me test drive the bike and even dragged the stone grey bike next to the off white bike to help me make a better color choice. I am absolutely in love with the stone grey colorway. Overall, the bikes are attractive and attractively priced and so far, I have not have had a problem with mine yet. read more

I ride up to 50 miles a day on my Linus roadster -- each day for the past year. They're heavy, sturdy bikes and will force you to build up your leg muscles. My legs are quite strong now, and apparently so is the bike to have taken all the abuse I force on it. A few notes: Tighten your spokes right away. This goes for every bike, but because Linus is a design company that makes bikes, they did not know that when I got it. Be sure to take your bike in for regular tuneups. This is important -- especially if you ride long distances often. Their customer service is amazing -- take advantage of it. read more
