Went here again on 7/7...got to the bar early (before 5) because sitting at the bar is where it's at...had calamari, wings, and tuna pate. All awesome. Bar syltaff so knowledgeable, helped us find a Sauvignon Blanc to accompany the crab-topped fried green tomatoes and scallops risotto. The lamb smash burger was outstanding, as was the beef short ribs pot pie. This place is a must visit, pricey but worth every penny. Kudos to the staff and chefs! read more

Amazing food! We tried to get in Friday and Saturday night. Both nights 1.5 hour waits. Sunday evening it was rainy so we tried again. Remarkable food. The chorizo broth for muscles was unbelievably tasty. The chicken pasta with smoky poblano pepper cream sauce was extremely tasty and we couldn't get enough of it. I was disappointed. My starter was too spicy for me. My mistake on that. But then it took over an hour for the food to come. They brought out the wrong meal for my husband. We were unsure when we walked in if we were in the right place as it just looks like a wine store but sure enough, this fine dining establishment is the real deal. While a bit pricey and they do charge a tacky extra 3.5% service fee for credit cards, the service was great, the food was AMAZING, and everything else was perfect! Don't pass up on the Angus short rib French onion pot pie, Fig bruschetta, and kale salad. Forgot to take pics of everything we ordered since we devoured it so quickly. Everytime I go down to stay in Ocean City, I stay on 94th Street at a friend's place. I always go to Liquid Assets to purchase my beer, but this is the first time I've actually sat down for a meal and drink -- I was not disappointed. The service was excellent. Bruno was the bartender and I essentially told him to surprise me with my charcuterie board. He chose the Luganega Sausage (not pictured), Serrano Chorizo and 5-Year Aged Smoked Gouda. Everything was superb. Presentation was excellent, and it was honestly mouthwateringly delicious. I didn't tell him this was the first time I was eating charcuterie, and I probably looked like a fool as I was shoveling everything into my mouth, but good lord it was worth the embarrassment. To drink, I started with a Prickly Pear, which was very good. Bruno recommended the Burley Oak Lost IPA when I told him what I liked in a beer, and I was very happy. Have been coming here for dinner for a few years. I should not be broadcasting how great this place is but from the cheese boards and oysters to the main entrees this place can't be beat. I've been here over 40 times and is my favorite place in OC. Here is a tip: if you are ok eating with a lot of noise then the bar area is for you, but if you enjoy eating where the conversation isn't as loud and more subdued then ask for a table in side room where all the wine is displayed. read more

Surprisingly good! Here for the Ocean City music festival and after searching reviews we decided to head North a bit and give this Liquid Assets a try for lunch. While a bit on the spendy side, the portions were really generous and the food was absolutely delicious. Got an appetizer (chicken caciatore that came with some baked bread that was AMAZING) and my wife and I each got a lunch pick-two special. Predictably, this ended up being way too much food but it did give us the chance to try four things from the menu and all of it was great! About a third of our lunch ended up as leftovers. You get what you pay for and I think we may actually go back again today and do this all again....I was seriously considering the Waguu burger yesterday and while doing the same place back to back for lunch when you're on vacation with many lunch options, this seems to be the only way... :) read more

The only thing that really irks me about this restaurant is the 3.5% fee on credit card charges. Who does that?? If you try this ice cream sandwich you will be back for more...I started off with the lunch specials because ultimately knew I would finish with this dessert. I ordered the lunch special veggies which ended up being a well sautéed and seasoned bowl of broccoli accompanied by various cheeses. That was good and I got the noodles with some protein. All and all a great lunch. My guest got the wagyu burger with hand cut fries and I wished I was eating red meat because that burger looked delicious! Our waitress, Natalie was amazing and we had the back room all to ourselves so it was kind of like I used my black card to shut down the restaurant without using my black card! You get it!!! Curt did a great job "Driving the Bus!" He helped us understand the menus, gave us guidance on all of our selections. Ate here Tuesday 7/6/21 at 2 pm. Had to wait 20 min a for a table even though the restaurant was relatively empty. Seemed like only one waitress was working, so service was slow and inattentive. Ordered a side dish of corn bread (specialty), 3 lunch specials, and one sandwich; all including the BBQ pork. The BBQ & slaw was good, not great. BBQ was warm at best. The "homemade pasta" side was shells w chicken, peas and red sauce. I think it was everything that didn't sell yesterday--we sent it back. Sautéed veggies were good. The corn bread--what I was REALLY looking forward to--grocery store quality and tasteless. Will not return. Sad about the money and time I wasted. read more

Stopped by for dinner Friday 4/14 by a friend's recommendation and was not disappointed. I ordered the kale salad as a starter and the chicken cacciatore with sausage as my entrée absolutely delicious. The menu offers something for everyone . You can also order a charcuterie board of cheeses and sausage. We sat at the bar and dined and the staff were professional and attentive throughout the meal. Charcutie board was mostly low end packaged crackers, very little cheese (cheese was good), prosciutto sliced too thick so it was chewy, not melt in mouth; chorizo was good, almonds and candied raisens/cherry mix good. Overall - skimpy on cheese, need better training if serving delicate meats, and get better crackers and real bread! My wifes chicken and dumplings was spot om comfort food and a highlight. My fish Rockefeller sounded so good - but it was overpowering, like first 5 bites were amazing, then its just became overpowerimg CHEEESE. Potato croquettes were tasty but a bit too wet inside. The bartender was friendly & got my wife's drink just right- not always the easiest feast, lol. Service once seated was again friendly, helpful & professional. We loved the availability of half bottles of wine and the ambience was really nice. Food was amazing. Appetizer of Morels & Toast with preserved lemon was one of the best starters we've had in a LONG time. Entrees: Big Eye Tuna & Scallop Risotto were equally delicious. What a fun, unique place. The outside looks deceiving, but once inside you're in for a wild, delicious evening! The mussels - 2lbs worth- were are very nice surprise with a red broth and chorizo! The calamari with a kimchi type veggie had a great spice to it!! The thick cut fries are really thick and need to be broke. In 1/2 to eat- my daughter ordered extra ketchup to dip the fries in! Over all a quaint place- cafe/bar is in the middle of a liquor store! Came here for lunch on a weekday and it was really nice. The store had alcohol all over the walls and barrels all over. It really add to the appeal of the restaurant. The service was excellent and it was such a good experience. The food was so good. The Kung pao calamari was probably the least favorite but still good. The pot stickers were delicious. The tuna crisps with the kimchi and seaweed salad add to the meal. I couldn't stop at one. The ricotta was so good. It was light and lemony. Perfect combination. The grilled cheese was amazing. We were so intrigued about Liquid Assets -- is it a liquor store or an upscale restaurant? Turns out it's both! We went on a Monday night around 8pm and the place was packed! We sat in the bar/longue area where there were a few couches with tables. We ordered the steak tartare and manchego with membrillo which were both amazing! And the cocktails were great as well. I got the 50/50 martini and my husband got The Bob. I was surprised (and sightly concerned) that the cocktails were the only thing on the menu with no prices, but they were reasonably priced from $13 to $15. We enjoyed our experience so much that we considered dining here again the next night but decided that we should probably give another restaurant a chance! read more
