Libertorie's has filled a gap in OC that I was unaware was missing. The bar is gorgeous. Has a very dark and sexy feel to it. The bartenders are very nice and make sure you are well taken care of your entire visit. They even have extensive knowledge of the wine list and were able to help me choose. Don't even get me started on the food.... It was incredible. So flavorful but not in an intimidating way. The tuna carpaccio was OUTSTANDING. For my dinner I got the scallops special. The food was phenomenal, and the service was outstanding. Abbie was our server, and she was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. She made excellent recommendations, all of which were spot on. We each ordered a cocktail, and they certainly didn't skimp on the pour. For small plates, we shared the crab balls with a delicious sauce, truffle fries, and crispy Brussels sprouts. Every dish was stellar. We each ordered a different salad, and the portions were so generous that we could have easily shared one. For entrées, we shared the following- the hanger steak, which was absolutely amazing and something I would definitely order again. The shrimp crostini was rich and delicious, while the seared scallops were very good, although by that point we were so full that we couldn't fully appreciate them. Unfortunately, we didn't have room for dessert, which was disappointing because everything else was so impressive. The only downside was the acoustics. The restaurant can get quite noisy, making it difficult to hear conversations. Other than that, it was a fantastic dining experience, and we look forward to returning. read more

I have been pondering this review for a little bit of time. It is nice to have a Liberatores in Ocean City as I know they offer great cuisine and beverages. The staff at this location is still undergoing training however it was difficult to tell because everyone was very professional and knew what they were doing. Ian behind the bar is a master and we experienced the best espresso martinis I think I ever had. The food was absolutely amazing very tasty and fresh. The one improvement that could be made is that the manager that was on site was not very friendly at all, unlike the rest of our staff. We noticed that she was consistently, frowning, and almost came across as angry, and I only saw her smile or talk to anyone when she saw a couple she must've known. That does not set a very friendly environment for patrons and it was a good thing that her staff what's so warm and inviting. We will definitely be back. read more

We know it opened last year so we thought we would wait a year before we tried it out. We have only been to the Westminster location. I checked the menu before went and noticed it had been scaled down to the menu I was use to. I understood once I arrived. It is small. Beautifully decorated with mostly high top tables and bar seating. Being elderly, I asked if they had regular tables. They had three right by the window. Drinks were great, fried calamari and my margarita pizza were also great. My husband had the pork chop, but found the glaze on top to be too sweet. Ended up taking it home to give to my son-in-law. The cannoli was also delicious. The service was fantastic. The restaurant does not take reservations, but they do have a waitlist. I can see it being quite crowded during the summer and will wait till off-season to return.. read more

OK, this place is amazing! We always have a plan to eat in Ocean City. Includes Spain, wine bar, The Hobbit possibly sunset Grill, and a few others. But, we had every dinner except one at Liberatores this vacation! Nothing was lacking. The service was amazing. The host kept checking on us, and the food was beyond!And, and keeping with Olive gate 2025, they had amazing vodka martinis, and no charge for either being up or the blue cheese olives. It's a charming bistro setting with attentive, well trained servers. I wanted to love this place as I am a big fan of their Carroll County locations. For me the wine and cocktail prices are way too high $18 to $20 for a glass of wine and same for many cocktails just too much. Food prices about right for a beach town. Ambient was our server, coming from the hospitality industry myself, she is top notch! Any establishment in ocean city widhed they had Abbie , but she is Team Liberatores! Beef carpaccio, exemplary! Shrimp crostini beyond amazing! Chicken liver pate....best ive had in a decade! Escargot on par with some ive had in France but their take is beyond good! The short rib is melt in your mouth beautiful. The hangar steak is by far one of the best carne options in all of ocean city! The Caesar at Liberatores is hands down the best ive had out of the "top" restaurants in all of Ocean City .....it can compete .....and beat the top on the eastern coast! I could go on we had probably 6 or 7 other options and the culinary team NEVER MISSED! That is unheard of. The executive chef Chris blew my mind and exceeded my expectations and the whole time all he could do was talk about his staff and the rest of the team...humble, passionate and enthusiastic and it showed through with the offerings! As a classically trained chef and culinary school graduate and culinary instructor (Le Cordon Bleu), Chef Chris humbled me today with his story and his passion. Tried this place for the first time in the off-season. Place was really nicely decorated for the holiday season. They do not have advanced reservations, but they will take call ahead. We only had to wait about five minutes for a table, which was no problem. The menu consists mostly of small plates and share bowls, but they do have some entrée size meals. Wide and I split the prosciutto wrapped dates, the meatballs and the burrata and tomato salad all of which were excellent. The one entrée that we did get was the braised short rib rigatoni, which was very flavorful. Also got the rum cake for dessert which was surprisingly good. All the food was very good, staff was super friendly and helpful. I would put this place on par as far as fanciness and cost with one coastal, liquid assets, and our harvest. Shrimp Crostini - one of the most delicious things I have eaten lately Clams in Brodo - weird but delicious broth, but the clams were very gritty Arancini - perfect as was the marinara Meatballs - lovely complexity of flavor and fab marinara Pizza - I only had a chunk of cheese and it was real, solid, great quality Burrata - fine, nothing special Short ribs - a little fatty but delicious Calamari - fabulous texture, not a ton of flavor, you need the marinara, which is delicious Squash Blossoms - server said they ran out of them during the soft opening and they are hard to source. Manager said they have them, but the prep work is too much, come back tomorrow and she'll make me some. This is the number one reason I picked Liberatore's for my birthday. I know they are a pain to make, because I make them. Perhaps they should be a special, and not on the top right corner of a printed menu if they are not always available. The place is LOUD. We struggled to have a conversation. The server spoke only to my husband who had to then convey to the other 3 of us. It was weird. She also reached across the table, over our food to clear a plate (which I would have happily handed to her) and a piece of calamari stuck to her arm. ew. no. You can take the rest of the plate now.
