My wife and I went to Nantuckets Restaurant yesterday evening. We had not been to the restaurant for a couple of years because we had not been spending as much time in Fenwick Island as usual. So, we were anxious to see if one of our favourite restaurants was still a winner. I am happy to say that Nantuckets is indeed still a winner. The food is still wonderful, the service is still first rate, and the atmosphere is still welcoming. We ordered a bottle of Chardonnay with a $10 discount, a Wednesday Special. Also, it was happy hour in the bar and several items were discounted 20%. We chose to have some chowder, some baked brie, some grilled salmon atop romaine lettuce, and sesame seared tuna. Every item was delicious and every item was discontinued 20%. We do not find very many restaurants with discounts in "season." So thank you for your kindness Nantuckets and thank you for staying a winner! read more

As you can see from my past 6 reviews, this is one of our top 10 favorites for off season happy hour on Wednesdays at 4 PM. We arrived with our friends around 4:10 PM on Wednesday when the bar was already full with customers, therefore we were seated at one of their high tops to the left across from the bar for six, since we were here with family and friends. I started with my usual two Man in Black cocktails for $12 each after the $3 off happy hour discount. I also enjoyed my usual happy hour Boullibase with a double order of asparagus for $29. My total bill was $105 excluding gratuity. Diana served us very well. We agreed we will return here for off season happy hour. read more

We loved Nantucket's Restaurant! Everything that was seafood was wonderfully fresh, from the oysters, crab cake sandwich, cod, blackfish special, scallop special, and boubailasse. There was also free crusty bread, which is always a welcome addition, especially when it's served warm. Our server was so nice and funny. The ambience of the place is so fun, very avante garde. The standout for me was definitely the Prussian oysters. Such a unique and fun way to serve them, with vodka sour cream, caviar, and red onions. Yum! Overall, a classic and delicious seafood experience. Would absolutely come again. read more

We thoroughly enjoyed this place! The staff were all super sweet, very welcoming & friendly The ambiance was very eclectic & eloquent. Very peaceful & relaxing gem! It was $10 off bottles of wine so that was sweet! My bf got his fav Pino Grigio & I had lemon drop martinis that were perfect! The food was absolutely amazing We had the delicious, famous chowda & oysters rockefeller for apps & they were soo~ good! For dinner we chose the lobster shepherds pie & the filet mignon & we couldn't have been more pleased! Our waitress Michelle was awesome & we'll definitely visit again!! We give the Restaurant mixed reviews. One member of the party had crabcakes and thought they were very good. They had lots of lump crab meat and very little filler. The asparagus and red potatoes were very good. Another member of the party had the fish Bouillabaisse. Unfortunately, the broth was very salty, and although there were 20 mussels, only five or six of them actually had fish in them. That entrée was disappointing. The third member of the party had shrimp and scallop pasta. The entrée was average, also slightly over salted. The crab and artichoke dip appetizer was very good and the rolls that were served with the meal were also very good. The waiter appeared to be very busy but pleasant. The restaurant is a lovely place to dine. Not too noisy, which is always a plus when you go to a restaurant during the summertime. The really nice thing about Nantucket is that they take reservations, and it's hard to find restaurants in the Delaware Beach area that takes reservations. For that reason alone, we would probably come back to the restaurant in the future. read more

I appreciate the quaint bar setting that has so much character with the wood bar and cabinetry being the focal point. The bartenders are very friendly and can serve you a simple beer or wine or whip you up a great craft cocktail. We only had a few appetizers and they were delicious. The steamed mussels were perfectly cooked and that is the only thing that probably could have used more flavor, the Nawlins' shrimp and sausage made you want to lick the plate, and the lobster mac n cheese rolled your eyes to the back of your head - yummy. I would definitely come back to try lunch or dinner and have been told that in season it can be challenging to get a table. read more

Food looks great and portions are big. I got the bouilusbase. No flavor whatsoever. I added a ton of red pepper and Tabasco to get a bit of flavor. Should have sent back and gotten something else. Had a great meal tonight at Nantucket's. The service was great. Really like the old school white table cloth vibe. Started with Oysters Rockefeller which was nicely done. We both ordered the halibut special. Large piece of well prepared fish, lightly seasoned and not salty at all. There were potatoes, green beans and other vegetables in a balsamic sauce. 7 p reservation-didnt seat us till 720 and no waiter really appeared till after 730. While waiting the maitre'd clearly was in a mood and didnt want to be bothered or smile. I understand busy but then don't take a reservation. Service was poor to say the least-wouldve expected more for the prices (50$ for steak and lobster). Forgot the bread service till we asked. Had to pour my own water all nite-thankfully it was on the ledge next to us. Waiter never came back. We had tried for years to make reservations and really looked forward to this and was disappointed. Wont be back. Food was adequate but nothing out of the ordinary for the price range with a lot of similar places to go in Bethany/Fenwick/Ocean City that has better service. They could do better. read more

My parents go to this restaurant pretty much every summer when we're in OC MD, so this year we decided to come with them. They take reservations which was nice, as there's not too many restaurants there that do. I tried to convince my parents to go there on a Saturday night since they take reservations, that way we won't have to worry about waiting forever somewhere on the busiest night of the week, but they are stubborn and said no it would be too crowded. So we compromised on a Sunday night. Our reservation was for at 6:30 I believe. We still had to wait a little bit but not too long, maybe 5-10 minutes. I liked the decor in the room with all the paintings on the wall, it almost had like a speakeasy vibe to it. Drinks were very good- they had crafted speakeasy type cocktails. My husband's one bourbon drink was very good and I kept stealing his but then my dad got mad and tried to take his drink from me. I heard the quahog chowder was really good and was originally just going to get that and the shrimp and grits appetizer but then my parents were asking why I wasn't getting a dinner. So I ordered the shrimp and scallop pasta as my meal and my husband and I split the shrimp and grits appetizer. I should have just went with my gut and got the soup abs appetizer because it was a lot of food. The shrimp and grits were pretty good but was heavily seasoned and it was filling with all the grits. I took a couple bites of my parents soup broth that was leftover and that had a lot of flavor too. My meal was good but I had to take most of it home because I was kind of full at that point and my acid reflux was acting up. We would come back again but next time I'll prob get the soup and a smaller meal with it. read more

We were in tonight-a Thursday off-season night-They had wonderful $29 deals on many of their incredible entrees-which everyone in our party enjoyed. My family owns a house in Fenwick Island, and we know the area well. We've visited Nantucket's before and enjoyed the food and bartenders. However, there's a recurring issue: the host and hostess are consistently rude. The elderly hostess often makes you feel like you're inconveniencing her, especially when she's not busy scolding customers for using the wrong door. This evening, the masked host was equally condescending, so we decided to leave. To the owner: You have a great product, but your hosts' lack of respect and kindness toward customers is a problem, as confirmed by other reviews. The food and service are always very good. We wish they were open Monday and Tuesday evenings but understand their schedule issues.

Excellent atmosphere, the clam chowder was phenomenal with large chunks of clams. There were a lot of locals there too which speaks volumes!

Always a hit. We've eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. The duck breast, either with the entree or the salad, is always perfectly done and flavorful. The chowder is rich and tasty. The cocktails are inventive and well-executed. Great restaurant in Fenwick that was recommended to us by several people. The Happy Hour at the bar is really good. The duck salad is excellent and is such a unique dish! They have a Wednesday special on wine. The bar area is fairly small, and they try to space parties at the bar to maximize the seating--so come early at Happy Hour times. I found the meals to be lacking for the amount of money for most entrees you'd expect to get a little more bang for your buck. One of the people in our group ended up getting food poisoning which is a little concerning considering they are supposed to have extremely fresh seafood. We were seated right away even though we didn't have a reservation. Our server was excellent. We never had to ask for refills he made sure we had our drinks before we needed them. We ordered the stuff pork chop which was amazing. I would have rated them much higher as we had a lovely time until the host came to our table and rudely told us that we needed to leave because they needed our table. I did not see time limits set, no one obviously waiting and it was off season. I am very cognizant of taking up space and would have moved to the bar or elsewhere if asked kindly. I don't know who is cooking here but they're amazing. Wife had a orange crush. Made perfectly. I had a very good Chardonnay. It was $12.00 and I didn't expect much but it was one of the better ones. I had a "chowda" soup. Amazing flavor and full of clams. Coming back before we leave to take a couple quart's home. Best in OC MD. My wife had a pasta seafood dish with pesto. She enjoyed it. I had a bouillabaisse. Seafood was plentiful, not overcooked and the broth was amazing. Finished with fresh coffee and a Irish coffee. If you're looking for more than bar food with a pleasant atmosphere you have to come here. Service was excellent. Total bill with appetizer and 3 drinks, $125. More than reasonable. read more

Second, don't even try to split a check; they're so antiquated that they refuse to do this, to hell with the customer. Third, the food was mediocre at best. I've always wanted to try this place. Our waitress was very good and attentive. The drinks were good as well. Half of our table did not enjoy the food. I got a spicy chicken BLT. The chicken was either overcooked or it was frozen too long. It had a rubbery texture. My husband got a chicken Cesar salad and his chicken was the same texture as mine. The soup of the day was good which was a tomato bisque. The crab cake was not a MD crab cake. I will say the restaurant is geared towards NE recipes and not MD.
