It wasn't that bad of a wait though as we were entertained by the dog groomers next door. We ordered a beef noodle soup, potato and beef dry noodle, wonton soup, beef pancake rolls, and spicy wontons. It was so much food that we didn't take part in their extra noodles after finishing the bowl. My favorite had to be the braised beef stew as the soup was hearty, the beef was tender, and the noodles were very firm and bouncy. The beef pancake rolls were a very close second, though there wasn't anything different that they added compared to other places. The rest of the dishes were pretty good though I would definitely pass on the wonton soup next time as the soup just tasted like dried seaweed (something I don't like). On a weekday afternoon, we were seated promptly and I let my mom handle the ordering. 25th Avenue can be quite busy if you're here during the lunch rush or the weekends so just be aware, but there are no meters to pay which is great. They utilize Yelp waitlist so you can put your name on the list and go around the area (there's a Goodwill nearby) if you need to kill time and you'll get a text message when you're next. An amazing no frills place with very good food and service. We arrived 30 minutes before opening and there were already 9 people in the queue. Ten minutes after opening, the restaurant was already full, and people were still coming in. I opted to have the Spicy Pork Intestine with knife cut flat noodle and was very impressed. Decent - 7/10 - F04 Tomato Egg & Stir Fried Minced Pork & Hot Chili Oil Splashed Combo Noodles - I tried each flavor individually and liked them all. The tomato egg has great tomato flavor and the egg was tender and silky and not overcooked. The stir fried mince pork and hot chili oil splashed flavors were very similar - heavy spice and very garlicky. Couldn't really tell these two apart (or they were kinda premixed already when it came) so I ended up eating the two together, while keeping the tomato egg on the other side for a change of flavor. The knife cut noodles were fresh and bouncy. Some pieces were thicker and you can tell that it was actually fresh cut. Texture was good and not super starchy. 8.5/10 - I'd order this again! Others in my party tried the mala beef soup with potato noodle. I didn't try but was told that the soup had good mala flavor but was missing the depth of a good beef soup. I decided to order the spicy stir fried pork noodle with the knife cut noodles and they were amazing! The pork was extremely tender and the broth was super flavorful, but oily! They advertise free noodle refills, but with all the appetizers we had and the generous portion of noodles given, I was too stuffed to ask for more. Since there's always room for dessert, we tried the sesame balls and the coconut lava balls. The sesame balls were pretty standard, but the coconut lava balls were phenomenal! This is a funny play of words if you know Chinese. The actual Chinese name means Li Noodle Please but phonetically it means "come inside." I do have to give points to the cleverness of the name especially if the owner does have Li as his last name. The place is advertising it's knife cut noodles which is actually my favorite type of noodles. However I'm taking 1 star away because it's not as chewy as it could be (the dough is not pressed as often as it should have been). The noodle places are getting more popular nowadays in the Bay Area so there are now more competition and honestly this place doesn't stand out enough (once again, work more on the noodles to make them more chewy). Other than that the noodles are fine. The prices are high but on par with NorCal prices. The location is small and service is so so (just what I expected). The parking however is ridiculous for such a busy food street. You will be lucky if you find a parking spot. It's my favorite Chinese takeout spot in the Bay Area by far. I love the noodles and string beans, but I've also had the different green onion and chive pancakes as well as the cucumber salad. The inside is pretty small so the wait for a table can be long if you want to eat in. They have a tablet where you put your name down when you arrive and you get a text when your table is ready. When we ask why she says it's because the table is for 4. Uhh...ok? When she comes out a third time, she skips us yet again and this time the family she calls tells her that we were first and yet she presses that it's because of the table size. DUDE. In the next call, a man comes out instead and we expressed some frustration and he immediately seats us....at a table for 4. The irony. But at least that was the end of it, the rest of the experience was tasty and as we expected. We started with the sliced tendons which were paper thin and so good. The portion was incredibly generous too, we kept eating and it felt like a bottomless plate! We then tried the egg and chive pancakes which were herbaceous and very chive forward, nice! For a main, we shared the tomato egg pork and chili oil dry noodles. The noodles are perfectly QQ and really satisfying. Though it doesn't affect diners but you could see duplicate dishes showing up at tables that had the dish already. I ordered by QR code but the wait staff didn't realize it until he looked at his tablet and confirmed it for me. I do appreciate the waitstaff checking in during the evening. With most QR code ordering you don't necessarily receive the customer care. So I really like this latter point. Had a very filling lunch here! We didn't have a reservation, but I don't think you really need one. We arrived at 11:15 though so it was pretty empty and had started getting busy around 11:45. There's a good amount of tables available, and I would definitely say this is more of a casual spot. They gave us water but they also had hot tea available. You order by scanning a QR code and that sends your order to the kitchen which is neat. I ordered the braised beef noodle soup with regular round noodles and a marinated egg. We also got the chive and egg pancakes which were not bad but a bit flimsy to hold. The portion of the noodle soup was huge!!! I couldn't finish it, but it was delicious. When you're ready to pay, you can indicate it on you phone and then a server will come to take your payment. Pretty efficient! read more

For two people, we usually order one appetizer and two noodle dishes. They offer free noodle refills, so you're guaranteed to leave full. Excellent value for money considering both the portion sizes and food quality. I've tried many dishes on the menu and honestly, you can't go wrong. My personal favorite is E01, the braised beef noodle soup with knife-cut flat noodles. The noodles are perfectly chewy, and the broth is rich and flavorful. Exactly what you'd expect.
