Hands down one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. The service was beyond horrible--staff looked completely lost, disorganized, and clearly poorly managed. No one knew what they were doing, and it felt like customers were an inconvenience rather than a priority. Management is a disaster. There's zero leadership, zero accountability, and it shows in every part of the experience. Long waits, careless attitudes, and constant mistakes made the entire visit frustrating from start to finish. And the food? Absolutely awful. I live near this location and was craving red chile chicken enchiladas with sopapillas on the side. This is the first time in my life I sent back all the food. Enchilada filling was like canned dog food, sauce was a watery, tasteless mess, and whoever heard of serving up day-old sopapillas in New Mexico? Shame, shame! This establishment has gone completely downhill, and it's clear that poor management is at the root of the problem. What used to be a reliable stop is now consistently disorganized, slow, and frustrating. Employees appear untrained and uninterested in doing their jobs, which creates a chaotic and unpleasant experience for customers. There is no sense of urgency, accountability, or basic customer service anymore The service is especially bad. Staff members are rude or dismissive, orders are frequently wrong, and when mistakes are pointed out, employees respond with attitude instead of solutions. Management is either nowhere to be found or simply doesn't care. There is no apology, no effort to fix issues properly, and no sign that customer satisfaction matters at all. Overall, this place has clearly lost its standards. Between the poor service, lack of leadership, and overall decline in quality, it's hard to justify spending money here anymore. Nothing is wrong with the food- the food is amazing and so are the staff. I'm leaving this review in light of their recent price increases. A bean stuffed (no meat) sopa *plate* used to be $11 and change. That's a fair price. That's what I paid like a week ago. Today they told me the stuffed sopa by itself is now $11 and it's an extra almost $4 to make it a combo plate. That is- $4 to add tiny half a scoop of rice and beans and a sopa on the side. For $15 I can eat at a sit down restaurant with service and bigger portions, not pay for a small-ish take-out container. Let me say that I've been eating here since I was a child- over 30 years now. I love this place and the food and while I lived in CA I thought about this place weekly. I am now local again but they've raised the prices to where the value just isn't there any longer for what it is. Maybe for the other locations but not for a take-out spot in the South Valley which isn't inviting or feasible to eat in because it has just 2 tables in a lobby which are always taken by people waiting on their orders. Which brings me to my next point- Management- are you forgetting what community you serve and started out in?? This is the South Valley. We are working class people. I understand the need to raise prices because of the economic situation but raising items by $4 overnight is insulting to the people who supported you for decades. Came to Little Anita's JUST LAST NIGHT based on the recommendation of a friend who lived in New Mexico, and it looked like there were several options of Little Anita's to visit! We had such a good experience that I wanted to make sure to lift this place up as soon as I had a chance. We simply opted for whichever Little Anita's was still open when we landed around 7:00pm. Felt and looked more like a local spot, so I felt more comfortable in it. Naturally, though, we stick out like sore thumbs because we were gawking at the menu. Per my friend's recommendation, we ordered one #34 adovada carne soapapilla with red sauce and rice and beans and one order #35 of adovada carne/beans with green sauce and rice and beans to go. We also ordered a cup of water and a soda. Since we ordered to go, we waited for a hot minute, and the ladies were SO NICE TO US. In just our first hour in Albuquerque, we felt welcomed at Little Anita's. They gave us a local magazine that highlighted Albuquerque food and things to do. They also snuck in some extra food in our to-go bag! UM, AMAZING. We got to our hotel and CONSUMED EVERYTHING. Omg. Soapapilla was soft (and perfect for my brace face). "Briza" (name on my receipt) She took my order wrong while arguing the point with me, when I asked for the "bowl" of beans she said "side" I told her no because the sides are way too small (pointless honestly to even buy) she told me they don't do bowls so I pointed to the bowl reference on the wall.. she told me they don't have a button for beans, argued the point back-and-forth with her which is weird cause my dad always buys that size for my girls.. so instead she charged me two PINTS if I knew she was gonna charge me a pint I would have gotten one.. so when I seen my order I asked her why she charged me for the pints when I wanted the bowl. She just laughed at my face so I asked for a refund.. she was smirking the whole time.. now she is trying to over charge my debit card that I paid with for the food! I know this cause she kept asking me what my name was. Why would you need my name? Only reason is to look through all those receipts to look for my name to do what? I ordered the Chile relleno plate for breakfast today, when I got home my relleno batter was not cooked underneath. I ate soggy batter. Usually every meal I order is cooked well, but not today. These are my favorite 'to-go' breakfast burrritos. This Little Anita's location does have a couple tiny tables to dine in, but it's really a take out spot. The have your full New Mexican menu- burritos, tacos, tamales, combo plates... And BREAKFAST! Their breakfast burritos are perfect. Scrambled eggs, meat of your choice, papas (no hashbrowns here, guys), chile of your choice, and cheese all swaddled in a yummy tortilla for your enjoyment. My old faithful is bacon and red, but do what you want it's all great. Their chile is flavorful and not too hot, and everything is made to order. So called them to let them know the order wasn't right. Well you need to bring the order back in so we can see it or one says take a picture and bring your receipt in next time. By the end of 3 conversation there is really nothing we can do. Wow! Okay I wasn't asking for a credit just wanted someone to know. From this day forward I am going to check my order before paying. OMG, it's been a while since I stopped in here. But I thought I'd give it a whirl. The woman, Jeanette, taking orders, running cash register and keeping the small dining are neat and clean was absolutely amazing! She was quick, kind and kept things in order and running smooth. She made sure people had the correct orders, and provided salsa, honey and anything else needed to enjoy the food. She treated EVERYONE with courtesy and kindness like we were all her regulars. We have eaten here twice since moving into the area. Both times we used there website and ordered for curbside pickup. The first time was okay they brought out our food, they seemed friendly and we went home. Unfortunately I was not able to eat my food (everyone elses was fine) I ordered a refried bean and beef stuff sopapilla plate. There was no beans and the hamburger meat was still pink. The second time I went I texted the number that say on the website and processed to wait for 15 mintues before I finally called. When they answered I was put on hold and waited for almost 5 mintues before they came back. (Parking lot cleared out other then 1 car at this point) then was greeting with some women with an attitude because they no longer offer curbside even though it's on there own website. They brought out my food and I went home. Food was cold/soggy. This time I ordered chicken enchiladas with green on the side and the chicken was also undercooked and pink(See picture). When it comes to Mexican fast food, this place definitely blows Taco Bell and Del Taco out of the water. My burrito was pretty good -- cheese was melty, red chili sauce was good, and the portion was pretty huge. However, all of that was overshadowed by the fact that we were expecting a restaurant (we've since learned that Little Anita's is different than Little Anita's Mexican Food -- don't make the same mistake!), this place is located in a slightly sketch part of town, and there was an altercation at the register where a customer was arguing with the guy at the register over a missing burrito, and asked him if "he wanted to take it outside."
