The tacos were also yummy - I wasn't expecting to love them as much as I did. Both came with sauces on the side, beware, they were a bit spicy! I think my meal was just okay which is why I rated three stars only. I would not come back here. Here is the breakdown: Food: I ordered the kale and beet salad. There just wasn't anything special about this salad. It was literally a handful of greens in a too-small bowl with a stale Parmesan cheese crisp (inedible) and beets that had zero flavor. It was difficult to eat because of the small bowl and wasn't seasoned or composed in any fashion. It was a meal I could make at home (and better because I would have seasoned it). The redeeming quality was the chicken, which was at least tasty. Ambiance: it was a nice restaurant. It was clean. It was comfortable. Price: to be honest it was so ridiculously overpriced for what showed up. Especially since it was literally assembled ingredients without seasoning. One salad (after tip and tax) was $30.00. I was starved and could have eaten 4 plates of this but wowowow. I'd say adding something on is def a good idea (maybe another egg or avocado?). I added on tofu and it was literally the silkiest tofu I've ever had. WTF! My mouth is watering so much right now thinking of it. There was some orange aioli sauce on the rice and I almost burst into tears it was so good. The avocado toast is massive. You can't go wrong with it. It's everything you'd expect and worth the $17 price mark. The banana bread. Think you can skip it? Think again. It was light, fluffy, and flavorful. It seemed like there were some herbs in it? The hazelnut butter comes on the side and it's also incredible. Literally, I have no other words. The mushroom bean burger was also pretty good. My friend got it and I didn't taste but he had no complaints. It came with sweet potato and you know you can't go wrong with that. Would recommend adding avocado. By far one of my fav restaurants and I've frequented this place many many times now! Love the drinks here and love how EVERYTHING on the menu is gluten free! Everything on the menu is clearly labeled if dairy free (df), vegetarian (vt) or vegan (v)! My fav app is the hummus, absolutely yummy with the gluten free pita bread! The crispy rice is very oily but also very warm and yummy, perfect for when you're craving some savory carbs and fat. The tacos are decent as well! I've tried the salmon crudo and salmon main dish and really enjoyed them too! The dishes here aren't always good and the quality/preparation of the food vary quite a bit sometimes. The crispy rice hot bowl came out too salty and overly oily and just unbalanced on one of the nights I was there. The pitas been char burnt in edges before as well! I've tried a lot of the drinks here (alcoholic drinks and mock tails) and found them to be very refreshing and not too sweet! The alcoholic drinks are more on the weaker side except for the tequila drink! The mock tails are refreshing, pure and yummy! One negative thing though, I've found the quantity to vary each time. Sometimes we'd get a full glass of drink sometimes... almost just half full :/. Also we found a piece of hair stuck near the rim of the glass once as well (although they did apologize and tried to undo the damage). Lastly, service is very attentive although sometimes quite slow. Food does take a bit of time to come out but the drinks normally come out very fast. The setting is very laid back and LA vibes but also edgy with the colorful paintings on the wall! Little Beet Table focuses on healthy ingredients and the menu has numerous choices with a vegetable-focus. The actual restaurant is quite lovely, with a clean, but still warm aesthetic. Of note, you need a reservation here as even on a week night it was packed. Also shocking was that almost everyone eating in the restaurant is female and it seems the place to catch up with female friends (maybe guys aren't as into the salads?). I ordered the Little Gem Salad with sugar snap peas, radishes, Parmesan and a Caesar dressing. I was honestly disappointed by my meal as the salad did not have much flavor and it seemed to have mostly lettuce without much else. Having been washed over by the energetic, Cossack-kicking cavalcade that was "Natasha, Pierre and The Great Comet of 1812", Jamie W. and I were surprisingly not in the mood for some blinis with Beluga caviar or a bowl of red borscht at the Russian Tea Room - though I would love to try it some time just to see what Woody, Jascha, and the old doyennes of NYC society were raving about back in the day. In the meantime, we were determined to go gluten-free for dinner hiking all the way from Times Square to earn our health-conscious meal on Park Avenue in Gramercy Park. By coincidence, we walked into one of the original fast-food chain spots from which this tonier restaurant was borne just a couple of days prior. I have to admit I was taken in by the concept of a grilled cauliflower steak, something I saw Ming Tsai prepare rather awkwardly on his PBS cooking show. It looked like something I wanted to try to see if I have the makings of a vegetarian. Not really as I am as flexitarian as they come. Take note of the appetizers we ordered. The first was the $15 Arctic Char Crudo, which laid our fresh, sashimi-style pieces of raw char fermenting in a cucumber & jalapeno aguachile, pickled onions, and cilantro (photo: http://bit.ly/2uA59nh). The second was more satisfying, the $16 Slow Poached Shrimp Wraps, which took fresh shrimp; mixed them with citrus, creme fraiche, and crispy shallots; and stuffed the mixture in torn, hand-size pieces of Bibb lettuce (photo: http://bit.ly/2vYYQJt). They normally charge $13 for three wraps, so they added a fourth for an additional $3 to accommodate our need to have two each. For our entrees, we decided to go vegetarian again. Delicious, healthy lunch spot! Came here with a few coworkers since there were plenty of reservations. We started with the guac, which was terrific and had a unique flavor. I ordered the veggie burger as an entree and added an egg, which was an excellent choice! The veggie patty was the best I've had in a while and was a true bean and mushroom burger. There were plenty of toppings and the portion was huge! I would've rather had fries than a baked potato on the side but it's a healthy restaurant, so what could I expect? I became drawn to Little Beet Table after going to Little Beet (the associated fast-casual spot) about twice a week throughout the summer. Though I had LBT on the agenda for quite some time, over the course of the fall and winter, Little Beet lost some of its luster. Primarily, my perception of the fast-casual spot morphed from one in which I saw it was healthy + delicious to one that felt overly salty; maybe in competition with the dig and Sweetgreen around the corner. Still, I was excited to try Little Beet Table. We came with a friend visiting in town and our 3-person engineering team at OfficeTogether. I got to try the following: 1. Mushroom and Black Bean Burger. I had this on a lettuce bun because they didn't have a whole wheat bun, which was fine. This was delicious. 2. We shared a Brussels sprouts as a table. As a "vegetable-forward" restaurant, Little Beet's bacon in their sprouts was FIRE. Probably some of the best Brussels Sprouts that I've had (another contender would be a duck-fat friend one I had in Boston). Overall, while Little Beet seemed to be a bit saltier and heavier as a regular go-to fast casual, this style for Little Beet Table works well as a sit-down. read more

WOW!! What a neighbor gem! Who knew healthy food could be so delicious. We started with their cocktail menu. The spicy grapefruit margarita was well made and delicious. It had the right amount of zest!! And I am saying this after just returning from having margaritas in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Hubby got the cucumber mule, he thought his drink was better! Now the food. Our server suggested few notable dishes on the menu. He also warned us not to go by the pictures on yelp as their menu is seasonal. Well, he should know that we chose this place based on yelp photos! Anyways, his recommendations were spot on, we enjoyed the cauliflower hummus and shared one portion of the pumpkin soup as appetizer, crispy branzino (my entree) and burger (hubby's entree). Visited this restaurant a few days ago. I enjoyed a nice glass of wine while waiting for my takeout. Absolutely loved the staff and vibe. The mushroom & black bean burger was fantastic. A few nights later we ordered delivery because we were stuck in a hotel room post surgery. We were so excited for a good meal after only having liquids for 2 days. Unfortunately this was a bad experience. The beef burger was raw. I called the restaurant and was told the only thing they could do is a refund for the meal. He told me I would need to start a new order for delivery and pay for it. OR I could go to the restaurant to pick it up. So frustrating! If you think the little beet (takeout) is good, this is somehow even better. Love the concept of a health conscious restaurant that caters to many diets (e.g. gluten free, vegan, etc). I have been to this place twice, the first time was years ago when it first opened and recently because I was in the neighborhood. Both times were kind of disappointing. The first time my food arrived first and my friend's food (a hamburger) arrived much much later. So much later that I was done eating by the time his food showed up. On my most recent visit, I ordered the sunflower hummus appetizer which was good but my main dish, the sesame chicken salad, was tiny and so spicy I left most of it. When the waitress came by and asked how was it, I mentioned it was so spicy I couldn't eat it. To which she replied "oh really? I haven't ordered that dish in a long time." Whatever that means. Our server was wonderful and they were patient with us, as the majority of the other tables emptied out and only us + one other table remained. In terms of apps, I loved the Brussel Sprout Pizzetta the most, it was absolutely incredible. As for the main, I split the mushroom & black bean burger and hanger steak with my friend. Props to the steak being cooked to the perfect medium rare, and for making a vegetarian burger taste delicious! Oh and be prepared for a truly spicy drink with the spicy blood orange margarita -- but it's worth it. My friends opted to add their liquor of choice to the refreshers. We had resos and they sat us at a desirable round table in front. I found the vibe to be thoroughly inviting, with its natural light and wood tables, greenery sprinkled around. I daresay you'd be inspired to order healthy. I mean, it's probably going to be easy anyway, given the menu! It's pretty surprising that there's not a ton of vegan options on the menu, however they are conscious of such diets and can accommodate you. It's just nothing terribly exciting. I opted for a really fresh + bright watercress guacamole, along with fresh crudités for an extra $5. I'm glad I did because the round tostadas that come with the guac are almost an afterthought. I ordered the baby kale salad with chicken, which was pretty good, but they didn't give me too much chicken. My friend ordered the little gem salad with salmon, but the salmon wasn't cooked all the way through. She couldn't eat it. They offered her a free dessert, which was nice...but it was weird that they didn't just take the salmon off our bill. The best part of the meal was the broccoli pizzetta.
