    corn dog

It was okay. My chicken sandwich was difficult to eat because the buns were thin and there was a lot of meat (not complaining about the amount of meat). I wish there was more sauce because it was good. Onion rings were good. My son didn't enjoy his corn dog and fries that much but couldn't explain why. I don't know. I think I'd come back and try the burger but wasn't impressed this round.

Loved the atmosphere! Food came out quick and was FRESH!! We got the small bird sandwich, Caesar salad, onion rings, burger and fries. The chicken was so juicy and the breading on the fried chicken was absolute perfection. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and suggested we add a milkshake, we had one of each! Highly recommend, they also have a great kids menu, lots of choices to choose from!

Came here for burger week and between the other 2, this one was my favorite. The burger is small, but the veggies help to make it not too heavy. The overall flavor is pretty good

This place is really expensive. We spent $63 on all of this. The burger and fries were good, but the fries alone were six dollars which was very pricey. The burger was good, I would call it a smash burger as the meat was thin and crispy. I was definitely full afterwards! The Little Bird Sandwich however was falling apart, and the flavor was not impressive. It was $2 to make it spicy, but it looked like they just put some chili oil on it which ended up everywhere but the sandwich. I really enjoyed the milkshake. That was our favorite part although $10 was expensive. We got chocolate and it had a bit of a minty taste which I liked!

In the Santa Barbara Public Market. I feel like we happened upon 2 gems here. The Public Market was off the main drag, State St, kind of unassuming from a tourists perspective. We came into the lively market looking for a healthier option. We discovered Little Bird Kitchen, and hubs and I shared a Tuscan Kale Salad with Chicken, that was a great sized portion, with tons of fresh ingredients and ended up being very filling for us two. This is a great find!

I found out about this place during burger week. Burger looked delicious and actually their fish sando looks great as well as the fried chicken. After a nice hike this burger and onion rings hit the spot. Tasty smash style burger, a bit greasy but enjoyable. The onion rings are top tier, fries are good. Probably won't get a salad next time but over all glad I came and gave it a go.

Oooh the chicken sandwich known as the little bird is massive! Somewhat of an oxymoron. This has two slices of chicken -buttermilk fried chicken breast! Filling a flavorful. There is an option to add spice to the chicken. Located in the SB public market, the service is prompt whether eating at the market or ordering for takeout. I highly recommend order 50/50, which is fries and onion rings and eat with the LBK sauce. Will be returning, to try other items in the menu.

Exceptional service, food and ambiance. I just wish I had known in advance it wasn't the place I thought I was going to. A happy accident. By the way, they have the right person running the register. I didn't get her name, but she's a superhero (Green Lantern)

I was able to enjoy lunch at the Public Market recently and opted to try Little Bird Kitchen. I chose the mixed lettuce salad bowl and added grilled chicken. It was delicious! I love beets and the poppyseed dressing was such a good compliment. The salad was beautifully displayed with spreadable cheese on the side of the bowl! The staff working were so friendly and helpful. My order came up super quick. I will definitely be back!

Yes, this is fast, casual dining, but do not mistake it for fast food quality. I had the little bird sandwich and it was very, very good. The chicken was moist and tender and crispy without being greasy. There were two very large pieces of chicken breast. I ended up opening the sandwich and having two open face sandwiches. I believe I read that the owner is trained in fine cuisine and it definitely showed with this meal. I look forward to going back and trying the burger.

"BEST grilled cheese" in Santa Barbara. Nico is a big grilled cheese guy and Little Bird is his favorite spot. Bonus points for a great shake, too!

Since we don't live in the neighborhood, it became an "out of sight, out of mind" situation. When my wife mentioned her friend's recommendation, we finally decided to give it a try. This visit was takeout, but after stepping inside, we're already looking forward to dining in. The dining room and patio felt warm, inviting, and welcoming--exactly the kind of place you want to spend an evening with friends and family. The NOTORIOUS P.I.E. was off the hook! Slam dunk. Three-pointer. Nothing but net! Without question, it's the best pizza I've had in Santa Barbara. As a chef from Chicago, I have very high pizza expectations. Let's start with the crust: a light, airy, chewy interior surrounded by a crispy, caramelized cheese crust that was perfectly executed. The pepperoni was crisp and slightly salty without being greasy. The house-made tomato sauce was restrained and unobtrusive--just enough to complement the mozzarella, white cheddar, and burrata without overpowering them. The only thing I would change is that it was a little heavy on the pickled chiles. But the pièce de résistance was the hot honey drizzle. It brought everything together and elevated an already outstanding pizza to another level. We also ordered a Caesar salad, but honestly, we couldn't stop eating the pizza long enough to give the salad the attention it deserved. The romaine appeared fresh and crisp, the dressing was thoughtfully packed on the side, and it looked well prepared. We'll definitely be back. If this pizza is any indication of what The Corner Tap is capable of, I can't wait to work my way through the rest of the menu--and next time, enjoy it from that welcoming patio with a cold drink in hand.

I will just forgo the onions next time. That said, the salad was exceptional! The Korean fried chicken wings do you need some attention. They were very mushy and to be honest, slimy--not crispy on the exterior and tender on the inside and the gochujang sauce should be switched out. It's a little off in its taste. I feel it should have more of a spicy-savory honey-sweet mouthwatering gochujang balance. Hint, go to Den Den Korean Fried Chicken in Providence, RI--though I need to remember this is a pub and not a Korean restaurant, ...there are better recipes out there that are worth testing out. I think the flavor and texture was off and can be improved on significantly. The pizza was pretty good--great for a pub and even better heated up the next day in a skillet with olive oil making the crust slightly crispy. There's ample outdoor and indoor seating with that perfect Corner Tap vibe. Also, noteworthy, inside the place it is absolutely spotless! We will return as it is a great place in a great location.

To start, the host was lacking any type of personality and SO MUCH GREEN ONION! The space was pretty cool, but seemed like that's the only thing it had going for it. *Krupuk with sambal and peanut sauce- Not sure where this krupuk came from, but not the same krupuk I grew up with. No deep fried shrimp flavor. Tasted like bland rice cakes dipped in garlic. The peanut sauce tasted like burned peanuts with kecap (pronounced kee-chup, not kee-kap). And the sambal, tasted like it was bought at a grocery store and watered down. *Chicken Satay - First mistake was ordering chicken satay when it should be named Sate Ayam. But considering there was no flavor to the chicken, I guess chicken satay fits. And using chicken breast with no seasoning, at least I didn't taste any, was the main mistake. *Nasi Goreng - One of the biggest and most known dishes of Indonesia, such a huge let down. Maybe I have too high of an expectation. But a huge lack of flavor and the rice texture was too mushy. Like it was not 1-2 day old rice like it's supposed to be. The giant chunks of onion was.... Well..... giant..... *Braised chicken - the perkedel kentang was a decent addition to the braised chicken. The coconut sauce was a good choice to add on to this dish. This dish is the only reason why it's not a 1 star review. Chicken was cooked near perfectly with a lot of flavor from the coconut sauce. The peanut sauce needs a lot of work, give the choice of white or dark meat for the satay, don't use so much green onion, make fresh sambal, use the right rice or fry it up at a higher heat, dice up those onions for god sake, use real krupuk or call it something else, teach the staff how to properly pronounce things, and FLAVOR FLAVOR FLAVOR. If this is supposed to be "Inspired" by a culture that is known for so much flavor, seems like y'all need more inspiration.

I especially enjoy their deviled eggs. Simple but delicious and I love that they're pink from being pickled. For cocktails I'm always down with O.P.P. a prickly pear hibiscus cocktail that hits every time. My latest visit brought me in for the Chef's Table Crawfish boil. This took stage on the rooftop of the Canary Hotel. Chef John Vasquez and team really outdid themselves by making this a memorable experience! We sat communal style and they rolled out the Louisiana style crawfish on the table. They were a beautiful reddish orange color and tasted just like the sea. It also came with potatoes, corn, artichoke, sausage and clarified butter for dipping. I do wish it was a little more seasoned, but I don't know if that's possible with the shell on. Nonetheless it still was delicious! Paired with some brews from Validation Ale and it was the perfect combination. The views, staff, vibes and people is what made the evening a memorable experience. Overall, a great restaurant to check out at the Canary Hotel.
