A local resident of Oak Island told me this little place has the best burgers. After working in my father's yard for hours on Womble St., I stopped by there to get some take-out burgers. I decided to take the only bar seat available and eat while I was there. I could not believe the amount of meat that lady was pressing onto the grill into huge burgers. The place was packed and the wait was about 15 minutes but conversation was flowing with the strangers on both sides of me so it passed quickly. It was delicious; possibly the best HUGE burger I have had in years. Priced very fairly! I recommend it highly. They serve breakfast also! Very good! read more

Know this before you go: this place is tiny and there will be a wait. That being said, the wait was not long at all and took us 10-15 minutes to be seated. Once a table was done, they were very quick to clean it and have it ready within a minute. Looking at the menu, I spotted a Pulled Pork Sandwich and a Pulled Pork Plate. Thinking the plate was the sandwich with the side of fries, I ordered it with onion rings as a substitute. Upon getting it however it was just a pile of pulled pork with no bread. While the name on the menu wasn't misleading, it wasn't what I was expecting. On the other hand though, it was absolutely delicious and I'm glad I didn't get a sandwich with less of the pork! The pulled pork was delicious and there was no need for BBQ sauce or hot sauce they provide optionally. The onion rings were perfect too. The waitress always kept an eye on our drinks and refilled them before we even thought of needing a refill. Definitely a must stop by when you're near. Be aware that they do not take debit/credit cards for meals under $10. read more

I'm not a burger girl but this burger was the best I have ever eaten. My husband is a burger connoisseur and he said "best hamburger on the planet". Lunch midweek around 1-130pm. extremely short wait for a booth for our group of 4. Server came immediately with the menus and drink orders. Glasses never got 1/2 empty! Burgers came really fast as well. Hand patted from real ground beef spiced by the 75 year old owner and cooked by her to order as well. I got the 8 ounce bacon cheeseburger lil bit style(onion lettuce, pickle and mayo) and my husband got the 14 ounce bacon cheeseburger. I just cant tell you how good they tasted. Mine was medium and his was well done. bacon was actually a strip of bacon not bits or chunks or anything. ample toppings. Tons of fries. It was sooooo good. Not greasy but juicy and flavorful. I think my burger was 7 dollars and my husbands was 9. My only regret is we didnt have time to return! They are open every day except Sunday and Tuesday from 1030-230 or 3. If I could give them zero stars, I would. I can't think of when I've received more rude service. My friends and I went there after having been warned by a local that while the food was very good, the owner had an attitude. At first I decided not to order, as I wasn't all that hungry and nothing on their menu accommodate my low carb diet. After listening to my friends rave about their Carolina style dogs, I decided to go back and order a dog without a bun. When I placed my order I was told without apology that the only way I could get a dog without a bun was if I ate in. I was baffled, but I decided they must not have carryout boxes to accommodate my order. I shared this with my two friends, and they convinced me to ask the restaurant next door for a carry out container. I followed their suggestion, and the other restaurant gave me the container and a stack of napkins without hesitation, even though I hadn't dined with them. I walked back into Little Bit's with carry out container in hand and asked if they could use my container to fill my order. I was told that they have those exact same containers, but that they wouldn't serve me a hot dog in one without a bun. I tried several times to politely ask for their reason, as I could make absolutely no sense of their logic, and then another employee turned around and coldly stated that there was no reason and that they just wouldn't do it. Back to my friends I went, stunned and licking my wounds from being bullied. This time one of my friends said that she was going to get my hot dog for me. She entered the grill, waited her turn, ordered a hot dog and asked the cashier if she would give her a carry out container to go with it. She told her she would. When the order was ready, my friend asked for the carryout container that she'd been promised, but then a male behind the counter turned around and asked why she needed a container. My friend told her that her friend (me) would be eating in the car. At that point the owner appeared and rudely accused her of getting the hot dog for me and informed her that I already had a container, so they were not going to give her a carryout container. I suggest that if you go to Little Bit's, be sure to order their hot dog without a bun. If you are trying to watch your carbs and/or are gluten intolerant, I suggest you either skip Little Bits, plan to dine in (with the foreknowledge that you will be rushed out the door as soon as you're finished), or plan on ditching the bun after you receive your dog. read more

Best breakfast food you will ever have. That's all that needs to be said. Little Bit is a firecracker and you will do what she says. If you can get there on a day when she is making pancakes, bring a friend and don't order more than two. read more

First time visiting Oak Island this past week. Heard good things from a relative about this place. Decided to visit and it was packed with a wait. Started not to wait but glad that we did. Ordered the large bacon cheeseburger and my goodness that thing was the size of 4 cheeseburgers put together. One of best burgers I've had. My family and I definitely enjoyed the food. Service was amazing as well by our waitress. If you are visiting Oak Island make plans to visit this place for a great burger. Get the small, will be more than enough. First timer! Great food service and price. Very clean and professional, staff was polite and very attentive!

We questioned another local business where to eat. They suggested Little Bits however added know the owner has an attitude. What an understatement. Myself and one friend ordered a hot dog to go. Another friend who was with us decided she would get one too, only she is unable to have a bun and asked to please leave it off. They said no we cannot do that. If you eat here we can but not to go. So my friend thinking this was a container issue asked a different restaurant if she could have a to go box. ( she should have ate there) they obliged. My friend walked back in with her container and asked again showing she had a box and they said oh we have that but you can still not have a dog without the bun.( very rudely)She asked can you tell me why, they said no, no reason just no. So I went in asked for a hot dog to go and a container to go. The girl said I cannot put the hot dog in a box but you can?!?! So the hot dog comes, no box. I ask for box server says why what do you need it for? Then another server says I know your friend has a box so we are not giving you one ?!?! I'm sorry this is the most ridiculous situation I have ever encountered with a restaurant. After reading the other reviews of so many horrible stories I wish we would have read them first and never spent our money there. read more
