Let me start off with how cute this place is. It's just a little hole in the wall, but it's a gem in Oak Island. Man this is really a "don't judge a book by its cover" type of place. Many locals and frequent visitors recommend this to us throughout the week, so on Thursday we gave it a shot. For such a small place it was exceptionally clean, big plus for me. The wait was about 15 minutes, but the service was spectacular. Waitress filled our drinks even before we needed it, but oddly it wasn't annoying. I had a grilled chicken sandwich with cheese. It was fantastic. A bit dry, but the melted cheese made up for it. A tidbit you should know is that you can't pay with card if your order is under $10. Overall I highly recommend Little Bits. Kinda hard to overlook while you're driving, but my god it's definitely worth seeking out. read more

Horrible place! Took my family for breakfast we only got two livermush Sandwiches and two eggs cost over 27 dollars. They also kicked a family out whose child was sitting at the bar, they where right for doing so because child kept sitting on knees, issue was they wouldn't stop bad mouthing the family after! Little Bits is a limited menu kinda place with one real specialty - burgers. They are hand pattied and generous in size. Try it all the way with chilli, mustard, onions, and slaw. Great place for a burger. It's a tiny dive, but sometimes that's just what you're looking for. The burgers are huge. Seriously, I routinely eat half-pound burgers without flinching, but these are ridiculous. The small must be half a pound and the large has got to be between 3/4 and a full pound. They're only open until 2 pm most days, and it's a real small, crowded place, so I'd get there either early or late, but not right in the middle of lunch time. read more

I too hate to write a bad review. New to the area, been wanting to try this, but we don't wait in lines especially outside in the sun. Finally today there were only a few cars in the parking lot. A booth opened up just as we entered the small restaurant with very limited seating. Waitress, short with blonde hair was super nice and fast. To the point...the only draw must be the burgers. My husband ordered the small hamburger. He said it tasted good, was a good size and the price was good. His side was a handful of crinkle cut fries. I don't eat meat and the only thing on the menu I could eat sandwich wise was the grilled cheese. The sandwich came with a surprisingly small side of onion rings. (I should have counted them (rats) would have been easy to do, I'm gonna say around 8 small.) The grilled cheese was HORRIBLE. I couldn't eat it. Ok, I don't expect them to use butter, but grill oil? REALLY?!! The inside of my mouth after one bite was an oil slick. I tried the onion rings. They were HORRIBLE. My husband asked me "how can you mess up an onion ring?" I said "I don't know, but they did." I started pulling the very small onion rings apart looking for onion. I thought ok, I'll remove the breading and at least I'll get a little veggie for my lunch, a sliver of onion. There were NO RINGS OF ONIONS in those onion rings!!! I tore them all apart and came to the conclusion that they (the factory) chop or grind onions then add small amounts (I could see tiny bits that were a little shiny that resembled onions) to the batter, place in a mold to resemble the shape of an onion ring and then deep fry and freeze. As another reviewer mentioned, I also saw the cook wipe sweat from his forehead. As we were paying I asked the woman (according to another reviewer is Bit's daughter) how we are supposed to place a take out order when the line is busy every time we call? (Because they have been so busy we have tried numerous times to call.) She said with no smile and with a bit of an attitude "I turn the ringer off." Alrighty then....Methinks NOT again. read more

I ordered the small chili cheeseburger, which was flattened and hung 2 inches off my bun - I don't know what that was about. Anyway, I should have left when it said on the menu that all burgers are seasoned with garlic. My personal take on burgers is, that any fresh burger needs nothing but a little salt and pepper. Food was good but cashier was so ugly to us because we were getting take out. If you want to be treated like trash and get good food then your all good, but if you desire good food and good service keep walking almost all of them will treat you like dirt. I personally recomend calling in and taking it out to avoid actual interaction with them as much as possible. Im a nice easy to get along with guy to and try to ask about her day but she threw the pen at me to sign the recipt..... and we werent the only ones with that recivied this kind of treatment. read more

Let me start by saying the food is awesome. Placed a to go order with 2 cheeseburgers (what they are known for) and 2 fries and was told to wait in my car and the food would be brought to the car. After 40 minutes of waiting and watching numerous people who arrived after me leave with to go orders I proceeded to go in and check on the order. Lady at the front said it wasn't ready. 10 minutes later my wife returned inside to check on the order. When asking the cashier how much longer and explaining other to go orders had came and went while we still waited for our food she gave my wife a shrug of the shoulders and said "well idk". So we waited 10 more minutes and returned inside to be told it would be ready in 5 minutes by a different worker. So in total we waited over an hour to get 2 burgers and fries......instead of admitting they forgot about the order they had horrible customer service. Heard that the burgers were good but the people working there not nice. Tried it today and will agree with the general consensus. I ordered a cheeseburger all the way. We had to eat in the car due to having our dog with us. I opened up my burger and the chilli was dripping out of the foil. Went back in to ask to borrow one of their baskets to eat from in car and said I would return it. They said "No". Ask for more foil to replace mine and she murmured a comment to another worker and ripped it out of foil holder with attitude and gave it to me as if I were a bother. I told her the burger looked good and could I have more napkins, she handed me one thin napkin. Honestly, where has good customer service gone these days along with an attitude of appreciating one's business?
