This place is delish! I had never been but my boyfriend loves this place, so we went in to grab some lunch. Now I know why he loves it so much! The menu is big, so there are tons of options for everyone. My favorite part is that the entrees are HUGE, so it's more family style sharing. We started with the pork egg rolls which were amazing! Then we ordered the chicken fried rice, walnut shrimp, and pecking pork. Everything was so good and the staff was great. Yall, this place is off the chain! It is a good as it gets when it comes to Chinese food. Don't come to Kenner much but we were over here one weekend and I have been dying to try this place out. We went for lunch and their lunch specials last until 3!!!! Is that amazing?? Ordered the dumplings and crab rangoons which came over steaming hot. The sauces were different. Not the usually red sweet and sour sauce but more of an orange citrus. The dumpling sauce is hard to explain but it wasn't that scallion oil soy sauce type. I usually get general tso everywhere I go but I changed it up with Hot Garlic Chicken and fried rice. THE FRIED RICE IS WHERE ITS AT YALL! Impressive.... Went today for lunch with the wife. Ordered salt and pepper chicken wings, congee w/ pork and preserved egg, goat stew noodle soup, mandarin chicken (wife), egg drop soup (wife), and intestine with xo sauce. Here are my ratings: Chicken wings -- 5/5. Excellent fried wings, funny in that they were topped with neither salt nor pepper. Instead, they were topped with a combination of garlic, sliced fresh jalapenos, and a squirt of lemon juice. Would definitely order these again. Congee -- 1.5/5. For those of you who don't know, congee is a soupy rice porridge, topped with a variety of ingredients. Mine had pork, green onion, and preserved 100-year old egg. The stuff was pretty flavorless and bland, like overcooked mushy rice mixed with water (which is exactly what it is.) I guess congee is the Asian version of grits. They're very bland and plain unless you add some stuff to it. In my case, my toppings didn't do much to enhance the flavor. And word to the wise-- never try a preserved 100-year old egg -- that thing was foul. Glad I tried the congee, but wouldn't order it again. Goat stew noodle soup -- N/S. Shortly after we ordered, our waiter came back to our table and told us they were out of goat stew. Oh well, next time. Mandarin chicken -- 2.5/5. My wife is an expert on Mandarin chicken, and said this one was very average. Egg drop soup -- 2.5/5. Wife said this was average, as well. Intestine w/ xo sauce -- 5/5. Being an adventurous eater, I decided to go out on a limb and try this. The sauce was phenomenal -- sweet, spicy, garlicky deliciousness. Anything would taste good in this sauce, including the intestines, which I'd never had before. The flavors were great, although I could sense the faint taste of the barnyard, and I didn't care for the texture. Didn't matter; I cleaned my plate. I wouldn't order the intestines again, but I'd definitely order something else -- chicken, beef, or shrimp -- with the xo sauce. **Update: I've been back for many return visits, and it's always been great. If I can rate this place a zero I absolutely would. I had been going to this place for a couple years and I noticed they changed owners and staff. It use to be one of the best places to go get Chinese food. Great flavors and good quality. But it has gone downhill big time. I ordered shrimp fried rice , the shrimp had a nasty old smell to it, the rice was white as of they did not add enough flavor or cared to mix it well. I ordered egg drop soup the flavor was not what it use to be, the wonton crisps were burnt brown nasty bitter burnt taste, I ordered shrimp and broccoli, it had an ok amount of sauce but not enough flavor at all. And lastly ordered salt and pepper wings, it did not have the nice garlic sweet and salty flavor it use to have . And I payed 45.00 for a bunch of disappointment and disgusting food. We had the crab Rangoon ( that ginger dipping sauce is to die for!) and two dinner/meal plates. One was Sweat and Sour Chicken and the other was Honey Chicken( each came with a veggie spring roll and pork fried rice....there was a $1 up charge for chicken fried rice, which I did). Wow! It's one of the better Chinese restaurants in NoLa that I've had thus far. The food is pretty solid, and the service here is very prompt. It's harder to find descent Chinese food that serves real chinese food around this area, so it's nice to see that they're able to thrive and survive by serving authentic Chinese food. I've came here twice now and I haven't really been disappointed by anything. Although I'm not a huge fan of the seafood and tofu hot pot, as I think it was too sweet and too salty. But other than that I recommend the crispy fried pork chops, the pea sprout stir fry (if you like veggies), the congee - with duck and preserved egg, the peking duck, and I forgot the other foods I ordered and like. read more

As we walked in we were told we could sit where we wanted and were immediately greeted and asked for our drink order. One thing I did notice right away is this place is somewhat cold. We started off with the lettuce wraps. They were amazing. Comparable to the ones from PF Changs. I got the Manderian Chicken, which is made from dark meat. That being said it did have some fat the wasn't cut, but I just cut it myself. It had an amazing smoky flavor and this was the only place I've had chicken that wasn't over cooked. I came in 2019 at Mardi Gras to get the mandarin chicken. I look forward to havjng it every visit, as you can't get anywhere but New Orleans. I came here in 2019, I think, and it was delicious. This time, not so much. Some of the chicken was cooked perfect, some was like chewing on leather. The rice tasted horrible and the egg roll/spring roll was cold, but flavorful. They now offer bubble teas, but were out of the 2 that I wanted, again, Mardi Gras. I would've given them more leeway if they were super busy, but there were only 5 other tables when I came in, most already eating. I was looking for a spot close to work for lunch and Little Chinatown popped up. Six of us in total went over to what I was told was the "Best Chinese Restaurant" in Kenner. It was quite intriguing so I flew in over there. I sauntered in and sat in a very nice cushy seat. After the waitress arrived, several coworkers were asking about the menu. I guess the waitress was overwhelmed so she tagged us off to another waiter who was quite pleasant (and handsome too). He answered all of our questions and put in our orders. But....food began coming out all out of order.... Soup, entree, appetizer, soup? I was thoroughly confused. When my soup came out after the entree I mentioned it to him and wanted to cancel. But he was so sweet and apologized for the mix up. I told him pack it to go. He said I was too kind. The honey chicken tasted like it was once frozen heated in a wok and drowned in a sticky sauce that looked nothing like honey chicken. Needless to say I do not think this is the best Chinese restaurant in Kenner. It tasted more like reheated frozen with sauce like the average Chinese take out next door to the corner store. Yet I digress. Nope not going back. The mushy egg rolls and thick egg drop and the wonton soup has turned my stomach toward alka seltzer. If this place is for you, it's for you. Paid somewhere between $7 and $8 for kung pao shrimp where the shrimp was NOT overcooked (hallelujah!) and the sauce was tasty with a hint of a kick. There was an abundance of onion, so if you hate the white stuff, beware. It also comes with a spring roll, egg drop soup, and a choice of white rice, pork fried rice, or salad. I myself opted for the salad in an attempt to offset the other indulgences. It was nothing special as far as salad is concerned, but fulfilled my conscience. Could've escaped with paying less than $9, but I rounded to an even $10 due to my excellent service. Left STUFFED and very pleased. This place is a gateway drug... Yeah, you heard me. Let me 'splain. Ya see. Most people who like Chinese food don't really like Chinese food... They like some Americanized Mall food court version of Chinese food... And most likely don't know the difference. And when they try "authentic" Chinese food, they are confused and distraught, and sometime downright angry that it's not the Panda Express they are used to. (Quick disclaimer, I actually enjoy Panda Express, mostly... It has its place). So, back to little Chinatown... This place straddles a razors edge between those two worlds. The menu is familiar, mostly. The entrees are easily identifiable, all the Chinese hits are there... But, the depth of flavor profile is different. They are sneaking in the rich, pungent, spicy, bold flavors of authentic dishes. The menu cleverly sneaks a szechuan crispy chicken in between a General Tso's and a Sesame. The hot and sour soup has a deep sour to the back end of it... the potsticker sauce uses dark Chinese vinegar... the beef chow fun has a hearty braised egg noodle backbone. The familiar meets the authentic here... Heck, they're even brave enough to suggest a intestine in XO sauce on their specials board. Good on you Lil Chinatown. Good on you. Got the lunch special. S&S chicken with fried rice. Egg drop soup is included with dine-in. Ordered the crab rangoons because so many raved about how they were the best in the world. That was a far cry. They were on the thick side, but the sauce was incredible. It was a combo of lemon with ginger. A real treat. There was just enough of this sauce to lap with the 5 rangoons split into 20 pieces. It started getting low and on the 20th scoop the sauce was gone. The egg drop soup was excellent. The soup was thick and the egg drops were plentiful and the soup was really good. The bubble tea was very unusual. I've heard of it, but never tried. It's basically a frozen fruit drink with semi-soft berries that get sucked up the oversized straw like Augustus gloop in "Charlie and the chocolate factory". When they land in your mouth they are like biting into gum. A real unusual and genuine experience. The main course was ok, but nothing to write home about. The egg roll was about the size of my pinkie finger. First place for the world's smallest egg roll. (Or french fry roll?). The "pork" fried rice had cubes of meat that were smaller than the size of a shriveled pea. Yes, I am serious. To me it was just fried rice. I went with the sweet and sour chicken to stay on the safe side. It had a bright fluorescent red sauce and lots of pineapple. At first I almost mistook it for that Asian fusion place, but even though that's what it tasted like, the chicken was like lightly breaded and flash fried for a crispness that didn't reek if some heavy breading. Before I came in a few elite yelpers said this is the best place in the world. Others equally said to not step foot in the place. I can see both sides. I was afraid to walk in the restrooms and when I glanced at the photos, that boiled chicken almost made me yak in my mouth. And the thought of having a solid "jelly like" duck egg melt in my mouth was equivalent to scarfing down a full jar of rancid mayonnaise...ick! They do seem to do a decent take out, but nothing like that Chinese place in the "hood" that you have to fight through a crowd of people to get a seat. (That I always give 5 stars to...) So I try and be positive in saying that the price was good, the ginger sauce was excellent, and the bubble tea was incredible along with the price for lunch specials... I did not see anything dirty or dingy, but I really didn't want to go looking for that. I was trying to eat lunch, and hoping nobody ordered that boiled chicken that had skin with bumps... I saw some pics that kept showing duck. The duck this, the duck that. All about the duck? There was a place in a kenner years ago in chateau on the golf course that had an excellent duck. Tom Fitzmorris from the times picayune couldn't shut up about the duck. The only drawback was that it took 45min-1hr because it was cooked fresh. Apparently being on the golf course it was as fresh as you could wish for. When animal control discovered the source of their duck (the golf course) they were shut down. Nobody knew exactly what happened to that place. But it was very authentic. Much like little Chinatown- almost too authentic for me. Being that I started rating Chinese restaurants by their egg rolls years ago, I will have to move this to the bottom of my personal favorites and stick to the places on Carrollton and on Manhattan, sorry read more

I'm from VB visiting family down here and this place reminds me of Jade Villa. This is one of those small hole the wall places that only locals would know about. Don't let the inside fool you bc the quality is there. Apparently it's the best Chinese spot in NOLA and I can see why. My mom treated us out to her favorite soup dishes: Hong Kong style Wonton Soup and Duck Congee (rice soup). Both the soups came out fast within less than 10 mins. Went on a Sunday so they had a grilled pork special that is only available on Sundays The food and menu were very traditional (authentic traditional). Didn't ask if there was an alternative menu, will ask next time The grilled pork was great, crispy skin and tender meat. It is a room temperature dish so be aware. The beef chow fun is great, best measuring stick for Chinese restaurants as a baseline The chicken was supposed to be spicy, and had lots of chilies in it, but was not very spicy at all. We asked for extra chili oil to put in it and even the chili oil wasn't spicy. Weird.
