I've been gone here for years because it's close to my house. They give you more food than you can eat. As far as that, they are very generous. The egg rolls are mostly full of cabbage and the shrimp keep getting smaller in the shrimp fried rice so that is disappointing to me, but the food quality is above average. Tried this place for lunch and expected better food based on the positive reviews. I ordered Hunan shrimp and requested light sauce. There are a couple tables so I dined in. The food took a long time to prepare and they were not busy. My food wasn't hot so I assume it was sitting for a while. There were plenty of large shrimp and vegetables but the food was swimming in a thick sugar laden sauce. The fried rice that came with it was average. The singapore noodles (mei fun) I ordered were NOT salted AT ALL. I could only taste a bit of the curry powder you season it with, had to add a good amount of salt to it myself. Kung pow chicken - eh it was alright. Still under salted, but at least it tasted somewhat the way I expected. Bottom line: NOT WORTH THE extra $. I placed a grubhub order and it doubled but they knew the likely hood of two orders exactly the same for the same person was unlikely. I tried this place out using Yelp Eat24 app. The ordering process was pretty simple and straightforward. The restaurant itself is located in a strip mall on Napoleon, closer towards Harahan. It's easy to accidentally pass up. Food: We ordered the Sesame Chicken combo which includes fried rice and an egg roll and an order of dumplings. The sesame chicken was like odd globs of fried mushy flour and sauce. The rice also tasted like it was cooked with old oil. The egg roll was your standard cabbage filled egg roll. My wife is a big fan of Chinese restaurant because she's really big on beef and broccoli. They apparently do a great job on that dish, but I like shrimp dishes. Whenever I've ordered a shrimp dish from them (which I've tried multiple times), they only give you 4 shrimp and load you up with a bunch of other fluff to make up for them basically screwing you. The dumplings aren't half bad, and I like the way they taste. However, the steamed ones will be wet, and the fried ones will be oily.
