Quality of food and service deteriorating. When I visited this restaurant last year, i thought the food was fairly good. This time around, I was totally disappointed. When we came in, the staff was busy. No one was around to seat us. When I flagged down a staff, he pointed to a table and walked away. It took some minutes before I waved another staff down to get the menu. We ordered the congee, spicy chicken, and Choi sum. While waiting for our food, I noticed there where spilled scallion sauce on the floor by my my feet. I alerted the staff to this. He came over with an old advertising section of a newspaper to wipe it up. Needless to say, the paper did nothing but smear the stuff around. He then got a wet paper napkin to clean it but it was too small to really do any good. He gave up and got another newspaper and left it on the floor by my feet. He guess he was marking the spot. When the food arrived, the waitress left without checking to see if we had any utensil to eat with. We had to ask for that from another staff. The congee was bland and tasted like they simply boiled rice in water and added the meat as an after thought. The spicy chicken was crusty and did not have enough spice or schezuen peppercorn. The wait staff never once came by to check on us. We even had to get up to get the to go box and the bill. read more

One of My favorite Chinese food. Def one of the best in Kenner and Metairie area. In the top 3 in the city for me. They great lunch specials too, can't beat them. Friendly staff, plenty of seating (be warned they do get busy n full tho) fresh food. A must try are the SALT AND PEPPER WINGS. Trust me you'll thank me later. This is one of the better Chinese restaurants in the New Orleans area if your tastebuds gravitate more towards authentic instead of those sameola sugary sauces or some variation of a brown sauce. There are a lot of items not in your standard Americanized Chinese restaurants. Some of our go to faves are the Spicy Lamb Skewers, the Hong Kong Wonton Soup and Chili Pepper Chicken. The wonton soup has a light delicious broth and the wontons are lovely with a thin noodle wrapper, also green vegetable. The Chili Pepper Chicken is lightly fried with a thin crispy salt and pepper crust then sautéed with fresh garlic, onions and Jalapeños and Sichuan chilis . My new favorite is the Oyster Tofu Pot (Clay Pot not the Soup) I asked them to add Bean Thread Noodles to it for a $3 up charge. It came in a sizzling fondue like clay pot in a savory brown sauce. Looking forward to exploring the menu on future visits. Also ask for the homemade roasted chili sauce. read more

Worst restaurant in Kenner, LA We ordered Lettuce wrap, combination fried rice, pepper oyster and TSO chicken. We got chicken lettuce wrap in 20 minutes, it was delicious. After one hour we got remaining items. 50% of rice was half cooked in combination fried rice, was wondering do not know how to boil rice?. Then oyster was salty and breaded with no oyster inside, cheap and bad quality?, then TSO chicken, was breaded too much with little chicken, tasked like spoiled chicken. We drove in from Houma for Christmas dinner. THe line was out the door, but we ordered drinks and visited with a family from Kenner who advised the food was with the wait. They were right. This was probably the best roasted duck I' e ever had. They've got all the favorites, but food is much more authentic than what you usually find. Loved this place! Went for Sunday dinner and the parking lot was packed (good sign). The service was excellent even though the restaurant was very busy for Mother's day. Servers were very friendly and helpful, making suggestions as this was our first time there. The wonton soup was delicious, the broth rich and flavorful, best I've ever had. My husband declared the hot and sour soup "New York Chinese restaurant quality". We ordered several dishes for the table: Salt toasted shrimp, shrimp fried rice, roast duck, walnut shrimp, and string beans-all excellent. We can't wait to go back to try more dishes. One of those nice "little hole-in-the-wall" Chinese restaurants. It was recommended by a woman at church. Good lunch menu. I had the Chicken String Bean. It came with egg drop soup, fried rice, and a spring roll. The main entree was delicious... good flavor. The soup was average- neither bad nor good. But it was piping hot. I found this place by chance a couple of months ago and we have been going back every single time we want Chinese food since. The food is AWESOME! The have a great menu with all the traditional menu items you see everywhere with a ton of unique dishes, too. My wife and I had lunch today and ordered our usual kung pao chicken and a bowl of hot & sour soup. Their food is always good and it is one of our favorite for Chinese food, UNTIL TODAY. Eating my second bowl of soup I had a mouth full of cigarette tobacco. I called the waiter over to show him the tobacco I spit onto my plate complaining that a cigarette was in the hot & sour soup. He took the plate into the kitchen and came back to tell me that the tobacco that I spit onto the plate was a mushroom. I know the difference in taste between the taste of a mushroom and tobacco, and it was defiantly cigarette tobacco. I wasn't looking for a free meal, just an apology from management. NOTHING. They screwed up my order. I ordered Kung pao shrimp and Seafood with mixed vegetables. The Kung pao shrimp it had none of the usual vegetables in it. I got mixed vegetables with ( no ) seafood . Also got white rice instead of fried rice, they also shorted the little spring roles that they usually have. Went for the first time on May 4, 2018. Won't be the last time we visit there. Food was really good and the portions were huge. Restaurant was packed which is always a good sign. Varied menu offers huge assortment of dishes. The young lady that waited on us was very knowledgeable about the items and graciously answered any questions that we had. Little China Town in Kenner, La. offers great food that is very reasonably priced. The staff there, especially, Bonnie, is awesome. They are very attentive, friendly and are quick to come to your table. My usual meal consists of vegetable spring rolls, Crab Ragoon, and the General Tso's chicken with the Fried Rice. Overall, a nice, family friendly restaurant on Williams Blvd. in Kenner. The only negative, is, at times, parking can be a challenge, but, it's worth parking a little bit down the street for!
