This is my second time enjoying the menu at this location. I had a wonderful, comfortable patio seat, on a mild summer day. It was a solo lunch to celebrate my birthday, and I was offered a pink rose as I checked in for my reservation. Peyton was an excellent waitress, very kind and consistently checking on me and making sure that I was enjoying my meal. I had the Chia pudding, which was excellent to start. The berries were fresh and the serving fries was appropriate. Next, I enjoyed the strawberry compote pancakes with a side of chicken sausage. The chicken sausage was a little bit drier than I had anticipated, but overall everything was extremely well cooked and well proportioned. The berries are baked into the pancake as well as topped off, so it is decadent without being too heavy. I also enjoyed both the lychee margarita and the lychee martini. Both were satisfying, but if I had to go with only one, I probably would choose the lychee margarita. I also appreciated the birthday surprise of a nice chocolate, mousse delight. What I enjoy most about the patio experience is the well curated aesthetic. There is actual intentionality with making sure that in the middle of busy River Oaks shopping district, you still feel like you are in a whimsical far away place. I also really enjoy the "Bossa Nostra" remix background music of many popular hits that have been framed to be more relaxing melodies. I would say the menu is well-rounded and balanced, there are healthier options as well as a little bit more rich menu options. Things you already know: cute trendy and amongst high end shopping. When reservations were made the only option was patio. They had swamp coolers out there to balance the hot heat. Trust me, you don't want them to turn off cause baby two of them did and I instantly started sweating Three of us ordered the omelet, two were the carbonara omelette. I love carbonara and since I have never seen this on a menu, umm yes I will take it. Well the presentation was pretty. But once I cut it to get the first bite, I was disappointed at the small diced ham that gave diner vibes. The omelette could've had larger cuts of veggies and meat to present what the vibes were giving. But I did eat it abd the breakfast potatoes were very delish. You have to try the Rose petal pancakes, which is what I think they are known for. It is definitely a new experience. He was also very patient with us as we kept chatting away. This is a place to dress over the top and be EXTRA! Cute brunch with friends that give you "Bridgerton" vibes. Super friendly service and classy atmosphere. You can definitely have a great tea time here as well. I recommend making a reservation but they did accommodate us as a walk in of 6, but I think we just got lucky. The water service is $1 per person (still or sparkling), we started with some lattes which came in beautifully crafted cups. Then we got entrees. They have an afternoon tea service, but are known for floral interiors and exteriors for photos while serving decent food, though quite overpriced for the portions. We initially ordered Churrasco split eggs and the Rose pancakes. Food came out on time and staff was very attentive however, the eggs had a hair in them. Was taken back to the kitchen immediately, and we changed our order to the plain churrasco after seeing the meat portion on the eggs be probably eight measly pieces for $26. I called ahead and was reassured that we would still be able to get our experience. However, we were informed that last call was 5:30pm. We arrive around 4:50 and had to wait 5-7 minutes to be seated since our tables weren't ready. I used that time as an opportunity to take in the decor. It is a beautiful space and matched my theme perfectly. It was also louder and more tightly packed than I expected. The scones and sandwiches were cute and delicious. The ambiance and decor are absolutely stunning in person, and the restaurant feels very elegant and welcoming. Unfortunately, we weren't able to dine because we came as walk-ins. Their website mentions that walk-ins are accepted based on availability, but when we arrived we were informed that it was reservation only at the time. The hostess did kindly offer to place us on a waiting list in case any reservations canceled, which we appreciated. Since we didn't get the chance to try the food, I can't speak on the menu or overall dining experience. However, the restaurant itself is very pretty and seems like it would be a lovely spot for brunch or a special occasion. OMG! I just found my new favorite brunch place in Houston! Where to begin...the place is beautiful! It is so Instagram-worthy! I came here with a friend on a Thursday and we did not have a reservation, but we were able to sit outside which was equally as beautiful. My friend ordered tea and they brought her the cutest tea cup and tea pot. I had the mocha latte and it was delicious! We tried the hash brown, and I am not usually a fan of those but this one was so good! I also ordered the Chilaquiles with Carnitas and they were delicious!! We sat on the patio and it was a little chilly so they turned on the heaters for us and brought us shawls. The food and drinks were great and beautifully presented. But, she said she didn't notice that in the previous pictures it was much more but I guess... The economy has caused things to change? The BEST tea ever: Little Hen House Tea mint, honey & lemon. A very very easy 10/10. How incredibly delicious this tea was. I could have ordered 10,000 kettles to take home. It was sweet but not too sweet and beautifully lemony and honey and the mint was a nice perfect cherry on top. The combination was so yummy and warming to the soul. Caviar omelette: smoked salmon, cream cheese, caviar, chives - my cousin said this is pretty good. She did also notice a change in size from previous pictures and reviews though. I plan to come here every time I come to visit Houston! Afternoon tea, including four sandwiches, two scones, macarons, petite fours and a giant pot of tea is $42 dollars per person. The scones are accompanied by lemon curd, clotted, cream, and fresh strawberry preserves. Every single item was delicious. I cannot stress how good the food here was! It is located in the River Oaks shopping complex so there is a parking lot nearby. There is outdoor and indoor seating. I cannot wait to return to try the other menu items. My food came to the table, and I had asked if the steak on my plate could not be well done and I was told she would see what she could do but then she never came back to tell me what would happen like if it was possible . The food came to the table and honestly, I was disappointed. The steak was overdone and there wasn't very much of it on the plate. I paid $30 for fries and eggs. Perhaps it was my own bad choice for choosing the item on the menu, but if I had been told that the steak could only be well done, I would've changed my order. She answered all our questions and was very attentive. The disappointment was in the food. First time and it won't be the last. Upon arriving, noticed the outside decorations especially the Arch leading to the back patio. The decorations were impeccable. Once inside, we were received by a welcoming hostess and waitress. Once we were seated, the waitress explained to us how the menu was structured and explained to us the payment system. Which I found to be very transparent. No hidden fees. Ordered the BLT with fries and they both were top tier. The fry's were seasoned to perfection with the right amount of salt. The sandwich itself was one of the best I ever had. All the condiments complemented each other to make a perfect blend and once you bite into it, the taste lingered. The most intriguing part of the experience was the vibe. It felt like I was a scene from the Young and Restless. The service was ok for it being a nice looking restaurant I'd think the waitress come to our table and check on us a bit , but never did I couldn't order more because she only came once we were done . The decor all around is really pretty and nice, but it is extremely loud in the restaurant to the extent that I was struggling to hear my waitress and I was sitting closest to her. The food was good, nothing too fantastic to rave about as the chai latte was just okay, and I was expecting 2 eggs with the chilaquiles rather than 1.
