I used to love this place, it was by far the best pizza in town. Under the new ownership, things have gone downhill. I've been there 3 times under the new ownership and each time there was a problem. My first experience, the driver tried to take off without giving me any change back when I gave him a $50 for a $30 pizza and acted surprised when I wanted some of my change back. This time the online ordering wouldn't work, when I picked up the pizza, it wasn't what I ordered so they remade it. When I ate the new one, it tasted like they scraped the toppings off the first one and re-cooked it. Overall, it was flavorless. I asked for extra sauce and there was barely any sauce in it. Delicious! Traveling from out of town and visiting a friend here. I always prefer to support small businesses whenever I can while traveling. I love the pizza options so thought I'd give it a try! Reviewing just the Indian food. Had the chai and the chicken curry for lunch. Chai tasted homemade. It was nice to have chai that didn't taste exactly like a clone of every other one. The chicken curry was very good. It would be too spicy for someone with no spice tolerance but was just right for me. Good mouthfeel from the ground spices; I could tell that the spice mixture was homemade. Not excessively oily. I needed rice (see below). Be careful on a DoorDash order, though, which this was: the "rice included with curries" didn't happen. Also the dessert I wanted didn't arrive. Stopped in for a quick lunch--first time under the new ownership. Had a nice chat w/the proprietor, and ordered the butter chicken pizza. Excellent! Tried to order for pickup and was calling from private/restricted number from my work phone. They didn't ask for a contact number and refused to take my order unless I called from an identifiable number. I've never had an issue ordering from here before, or any other place in town, nor have my colleagues. Come to find out, this place is under new ownership. Sadly, this experience was enough for us to choose to go elsewhere for pizza from now on. Edit: ended up calling Mountain Mike's and made a seamless order and pickup. To the owner and your response: customer service is obviously lacking. You could've asked for a number and called to confirm. No other business has ever set these ridiculous standards for ordering. As a private business, you can do what you want and give whatever reasoning. As a customer, I have the ability to take my business elsewhere. And you should always remember, bad news travels faster than good news. And patrons are more likely to share their bad experiences than good ones. And since this has never happened in the past, and we've been patrons since it originally opened....the only change is the new ownership. Which is relevant to this new policy. This place has gone down hill. The new owner SK S is a real gem. He makes a scene in the local posts about his business then deletes his comments and blocks the customers. Nothing they do is their issue and the customer is never right. The food quality has gone down. The ingredients are not what they use to be and the food size/quantity has also changed. I'll never be a customer again just based on this owners business approach and attitude. You sir have done yourself in. You can't act like this in a small town and think people won't talk. This review is based on my first visit to this pizza joint. I'm not from the area and wanted to be able to feed several hungry mouths. This place just happened to be nearby, so I called and placed my order. Pizza was ready within 25 minutes. I ordered an XL combo. Pick up was easy since there wasn't a line. The pizza had plenty of toppings, good flavors and freshness, and a nice crust. I thought the price was pretty good too, around $30. Good to know there's a place to get great pizza in town. All of the food was so good! We got a half cheese half garden pizza, a chicken pizza, and a combo pizza. My favorite was definitely the chicken alfredo pizza, it tasted so good dipped in ranch! We also got the beer battered fries and the garlic cheesy bread. They were having a special where the garlic cheesy bread was $2 per box! My family got a massive amount of food for just $100 which felt like great value and we enjoyed everything. Favorite pizza spot in all of Hollister! Pizza is always super good. Their wings are BOMB! We love them, they are spicy without being overly so. Their jalapeno poppers are also AMAZING.
