I thought it was a sit in place when I walked in, but it was too small for that. A little disappointing that it wasn't, but thats ok. It wasn't busy for take out, so we ordered 2 entrees to go. It was fast! Again, I don't think it went that busy at the time, so that's great! I'm happy with the food. My fave is Chow Fun, so it was good. My husband said the Sweet & Sour Chicken was too greasy. I can see why. I guess we are just too used to making it ourselves lol. I would consider coming back!

"Egg" foo young with ZERO egg.

You guys, I used to love this place. We started coming here in 2023. The flavors and portions were amazing. That is no longer the case. Beef broccoli, meat is tough, tastes a little sour. Do not buy. Egg Foo Young, not one bit of egg was used to make this. Egg foo young is a flat egg patty with veggies and meat and a sauce to pour over. I ordered today, there's ZERO egg. I got a greasy rice flour patty w/lots of veggies and a sprinkle of meat. It's inedible. I took a bite and my eyes teared up because I wanted to y@ck. I spent $15 on this shizz?? Do NOT BUY. Chow mien is fine, sweet and sour is fine. No longer the "gourmet" or flavorful food it was 3-years ago.

I came here on a Friday night to grab a quick meal to share with my husband as we decided to eat at the park on a hot Friday night. We shared the house fried rice and Mongolian beef. The boxes looked small but the portions are large in the box. We even had left overs. The service was friendly and take out only since the store is super small. There is one table for people to wait for their order. I would definitely come back to try other items.

I've been here a good amount of times and the quality is still there. Prices have went up, but what hasn't these days? But the value is where it is. Nice portions and great tasting. Can get my fix of beef chow fun without leaving the island.

Ended up going to Chong Qing noodle house and it was a smart decision. We walked over and immediately greeted by the very nice lady. We said to go so we grabbed a menu and sat down. She also recommended the wonton and some cucumbers but we ended up just getting the wonton in addition to the noodles. They prepared our foood quickly and we had it to go We took our food to the alameda brewery and as soon as open the noodles - it already smelled so good. Those noodles were amazing!!!! It was so flavorful, bouncy noodles, tender meat and together it was perfect. I did wish it comes w fried eggs. About 15 seconds after we got our menus, that one of the servers was hovering over us. We were trying to make our decision but she would just not leave us alone, and kept pointing out options. It felt more like pressure than anything. Once we ordered the food came fairly quickly. The wings were incredibly flavorful, I'd order again in a heartbeat. The dumplings were delicious. My biggest complaint was how pushy the server was. I wanted to leave but I thought my niece wanted to stay so I didn't say anything. While we were leaving my niece said she was very uncomfortable there, but didn't want to say anything. The food was delicious, but we both agreed we'd probably order delivery next time. Our in person experience was just too unpleasant.

I knew I wanted good Chinese food in a clean, safe area--not in Oakland, but with food just as good. We found Hong Kong City Cafe in Alameda, and the reviews looked promising. We walked in around 8:20 p.m., and the gentleman at the front let us know they closed at 9 p.m. I appreciated him making sure we knew before we sat down. We ordered some of our usual dishes so we could compare them to our favorite Chinese spot. The pork fried rice was good, but it had a little too much shredded lettuce for our liking. Thankfully, the pork was super tender and flavorful, so I would still give it an 8/10. I ordered the Wor Wonton Soup, and it probably had the best broth I've ever had. I can't explain the flavor--it was just DELICIOUS. It came loaded with pork, beef, shrimp, chicken, and shrimp-filled wontons. My husband ordered the Sweet and Sour Chicken, and we both agreed it was the best we've ever had. I think the char on the vegetables really makes a difference. We also tried the Walnut Shrimp. It tasted more natural than other walnut shrimp we've had. We wished the shrimp had a little more crunch, but it was still really good. Overall, this was a 4/5-star experience. We wish we could have stayed longer, but they were closing, so we didn't want to hold them up. There was also a table of about 10 people drinking that made the restaurant really loud. Obviously, that's not the restaurant's fault, but it did affect our experience.

We definitely way over-ordered despite the larger headcount. However, the food pacing was really off. We only had a few dishes come out initially, which everyone just picked at while chatting away. And it wasn't until quite a bit into the meal when the dishes started coming fast and hard. And next thing we knew, the table was piled high with food that all seemingly arrived at once. The portions were pretty sizable, and the food quality overall good to acceptable. They have a pretty large menu, so there is no shortage of options to choose from. Parking is available in their private lot, which is a huge plus.

Steamed beef balls were hand craft to a good texture , fluffy and chewy. Another 5/5 . I loved the black bean sauce chicken feet , pork Siu Mai with big chunks of shrimp inside to enrich the taste , fried chives dumpling was tasty . All the dim sum were delicious and served hot . I saw the roasted pork with crispy skin . We were too full to order more . But I could tell that was an excellent dish . Service was good and very attentive . Huge parking lot and the front entrance has a den section, very roomy and is great for group picture . The building and the interior of the restaurant is classic and antique style, which is rare to be found in modern Chinese restaurants. We enjoyed the food , the service and the paramedic harbor view . Highly recommended.
