Did anybody say Korean fried chicken? Yes? OMG! The best one I ever had, I think. I got some stuff to go and waited for a few minutes in the store and was able to observe for a bit. Super efficient, clean and friendly. Looks like a family business. The dining space is on the smaller side, but I saw quite a few people come and go to pick up to-go orders. Like I mentioned, the fried chicken was amazing. I also got a rice bowl and it was super yummy. I will be back. Pro tip: don't order through Door Dash etc. when you're picking up anyway but directly with them. You will pay less...

BB Bowl has been great to my friends and I each time we've come here. The food has always been well made. I've primarily ordered their Katsu Pork given that's the one menu item I've tended to not find too common in similar businesses. Friends have raved about their fried chicken and the one I had dinner with was fond of his bulgogi. The service has always been great, and in particular from the owner who has gone out of his way to ensure quality service. I've always noticed people happy here, and even more when they connect with staff. I believe those interactions were most likely with regulars but if so, that means they have a great environment that motivates others to come back for more. I admit I need to try more menu options, but for everything so far this gets a 5/5.

I got the tofu rice bowl. Every single bite was delicious and satisfying. The staff is friendly. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing and open. I can't wait to come back and try other things on the menu! Update: I came back the next day and tried the bibimbap. Delicious. The side of kimchi was great... not sweet like some restaurants tend to make it!

This place is a local mom n pop place. There are plenty of tables in this quaint space. Very nice quiet place! The staff are too the point and want to serve :) The food is made after the order, which makes your meal super fresh. The flavors are wonderful!!! You will love anything you order from here! Huge parking lot! Clean restroom!

local small business with quick service and affordable prices! the soondubu (soft tofu soup) was really good and hit the spot. the curry rice bowl was decent but nothing super special. ambiance is casual - you pay and order at the front, and they bring your order to you. service is friendly and fast! i would definitely recommend if you're in the area looking for some yummy korean food.

Originally, I was supposed to try out this new establishment, but they were closed even though Google said it was opened. So, I stumbled on this establishment and was glad to do so! I ordered the seafood soondubu in spicy (wished it was spicier teehee). Side dishes were kinda shy. I had bean sprouts, kimchi, and pickled daiko as well as a large bow of rice and an egg to crack in. Price wise, it's on the "cheaper" side when you compare it to other prices of food from elsewhere. Parking was also not an issue. Service was friendly and efficient too!

It's a nice Korean restaurant. The food did taste pretty good. This is the second time I'm visiting this place. The food came out pretty quickly. They do have a wide selection of food options .

Very big serving size with all the best mixes of toppings on top of the delicious short ribs. The sauce is so good and makes the dish 15/10. Service is ok but that's biased because we order the biggest/longest to cook dish but it's still pretty good. Restaurant ambiance is just ok in my opinion, not too many distracting decorations and tables & booths feel nice. We've also tried the spicy rice noodles which were just a 6/10 for me. The kimchi fried rice was also good but not our favorite -- solid 6/10 as well. We literally just come here for the short ribs. So if you're ever in the mood for Korean food and feeling a little 'rich', this place is a must try.

I was violently craving seolleongtang and did some research to find a spot in Oakland. The menu is pretty big with a lot of enticing options--I love bossam and blood sausage--but because I had tunnel vision, I stuck with the soup. The broth itself was good, and they had salt and pepper on the table so you could season it to your liking. Unfortunately, the noodles were way too soft and almost mushy, and the meat was extremely tough and hard to chew. I couldn't finish it. If seolleongtang is one of your favorite dishes, I'd probably skip it here. My husband got the kimchi fried rice, which was huge and great for sharing between 2-4 people. Based on the portion size, I do think it could use an extra egg, more Spam and some nori on top. It leaned more oily and buttery than other versions I've had, but it was still good--just nothing too special. The vibe and service were solid, so I'd come back to try other dishes and update my rating accordingly.

I've been here a few times and one time the owner or cook came up to our table to recommend some items and talk about the type of food he serves. They're very nice people and very generous, especially when I came by on a slow Wednesday for a solo dinner and I was pretty hungry so I ordered a few new dishes I haven't tried before. I ordered the spicy tingly beef noodle soup, the lamb in sauce dumplings, and the ruo jia mo stewed pork slider and I was also offered a bit of their liang pi cold noodle on the house which I commend on them for going beyond their service and hospitality. The noodle soup was presented so well and the dumplings sauce was so good that I poured some into my broth for extra flavor. The slider was so moist and fresh, juice was literally dripping off each bite and the cucumbers in it gave it a good crunchy texture. In the end I would come back anytime and order the same and perhaps try their malatang!

Sometimes you just need a big, comforting bowl of chewy noodles covered in rich black bean sauce, and this spot absolutely delivers. Their jajangmyeon is done just right. The sauce is savory, hearty, and satisfying without feeling too heavy, and the noodles have that perfect chewy texture that makes the whole dish so comforting. The portion size is also massive, so you could definitely share one order between two people--although I completely understand wanting one all to yourself. I also tried their fried chicken, which was decent, but it wasn't the standout for me. It was fine as a side, but compared to the noodles, it didn't feel like something I'd go out of my way to order again. Next time, I'd probably skip the chicken and focus on what they're clearly known for: their noodle dishes. Overall, this is a great spot when you're craving classic, satisfying Korean comfort food. The black bean sauce is both salty, savory with a hint of sweetness coming through. The texture is thick and perfect which hugs the noodles with every bite. It also has a good balance of the veggies in the sauce as well. It is definitely very filling! The spicy rice cakes were soaked in a sweet and spicy sauce, with sautéed cabbage and peas. The flavors were really addicting and kept me coming back for more. The rice cakes were both delicate and chewy. Eating this dish alongside the pickled radish and onion cut through the richness of the dish. Lastly, I tried the yuja ade and was pleasantly surprised! I will say that it is very sweet, if you do prefer it to be sweeter instead of tart. At the bottom of the cup are these yummy almost candy-like yuja slices that practically melted with each sip. I'm so glad I decided to try it! Overall, the portion sizes are pretty big for the value! I was able to stretch the food across a few meals. I will definitely be eating here again!

My sister made a reservation for six people that included two high chairs and four adults. When we arrived, the restaurant was quite empty and they did not have our table ready. Luckily, it did not take too long for them to set one up. They also closed the outdoor seating, which made this place so fun and unique back then! We did the AYCE for $43 per person! So worth it especially if you could eat a lot of meat! One À la carte plate of LA style Galbi here was already $38. For four adults, we definitely ordered at least eight plates of just Galbi with several plates of brisket, thin pork belly, seafood, and other sides. The Galbi was all of our favorites! It was so savory, sweet, and tasty! They marinated the meat so well! Such a surprise for an AYCE place! It was better than most of the Korean restaurants we tried in the Bay Area! Definitely recommend Gogi Time if you would like a good deal on well marinated Korean short ribs (Galbi). The place was not smoky but slightly loud. The workers were nice but did not come around as often as other AYCE places. We had to ask the workers several times to switch our trays when it was burnt from the Galbi. Another issue was tasting sand in my lettuce for the wrap. That was gross! Aside from all that, the kbbq was still worth the price! Would recommend the delicious Galbi!

But now, it's gone south, the lack of business speaks for itself. It's like a ghost restaurant, so empty in a Friday night. That was never the case before. We used to have to wait in line to get a seat. This establishment HAS to have changed management bc the previous management genuinely cared about the quality of food they put out and right now it's not the same. The sauces come in plastic containers and you have to ask for it now, (used to have sesame oil and soy sauce placed in a holder on every table). The cut of the brisket is horrible, tough and super chewy. The sides are all gross, lacking flavor. The egg soufflé was overpoweringly sweet and the bowl was 1/4 full. I wish I took a pic. It was the saddest egg soufflé I've ever eaten. The soft tofu soup was disgusting. Just tomato soup with soft tofu. Incredibly underwhelming situation. The reason I'm giving 2 stars is because of the service workers. They were really sweet and kept checking up on us. The new management/owner doesn't care about the customers, because this meal wasn't worth $42 per person. I will definitely not be returning here.
