I love a good bowl of knife cut noodle soup! I'm glad I was finally in the area to try this place. I came at an off time so it was very quiet which I enjoyed. This place is low key and no frills. Portions are very generous and you will be full! Food came out pretty quickly. It is a little heavy on the oil. Although I asked for it not to be spicy, they did it anyways (I'm not mad as I like spicy but I wanted to try it non spicy and was going to add hot oil/sauce on my own). The meats were very tender on both the rib and the beef. Definitely would come back again. They didn't have skewers available when I was here and not sure why but definitely want to try those. The server also strangely was very pushy about very specific items on the menu and discouraged us from Ordering others. When I let her know that she should have let us know that the hand pulled noodles were unavailable, she then said they had them but in the fridge. Then she went and machine cut them. Very authentic sichuan restaurant, i love their beef noodles soup combination of tendon, I love the taste of their broth and the noodles are also cooked properly, it's not saggy I don't eat spicy food so I'm glad they have option as the spice level you like, there are options for non-spicy appetizer we order cucumber salad and the wood ear it's very delicious. I feel conflicted about this place! I visited on a Wednesday evening about 5:30PM. I found street parking a block over, with the usual post work traffic. There were no other customers when my friend and I were there and the owner was very kind, but a bit overwhelmingly kind. As if they had cooked it early in the day and let it sit in the bowl for a while(Usually, when you cook rice noodles, if you let it sit for too long, it sticks together). No matter how much I tried to mix the noodles with the overabundance of chili oil(which later cause an upset stomach for my friend), it still clumped. I didnt care for the oversalty meat, and ended up wishing Ihad ordered what I originally set out to order. The food came quickly though. The lady came to check on us a few more times and recommended more food. Though, neither of us were quite interested. My friend kindly told her, "next time!". I feel bad giving this place a low star rating and hope it was just a fluke. Came here with a friend on a Wednesday night - it was empty so being seated and served right away was not an issue. First, we stood at the door waiting to be seated a while, while the worker was preparing something a couple of feet away behind the counter. Even when she acknowledged our presence it wasn't too welcoming. We ordered: Beef noodle soup: flavor was good, meat was tender, noodle were a tad over cooked. Ja jiang noodle: flavor was good, noodle was a fail, it was all clumped together and overcooked. It was gummy with no bounce or chew. Dumpling: decent but a little pricey for boiled dumpling - $16.99. Vibes were not great. Bathroom is outside around the back of the restaurant. Highly recommend this spot in the area! We were seated right away and food came out pretty fast, The noodles are so yummy and chewy. So much flavor and I barely ate because of how filling it was! First time here at Chongqing Noodle (also called Lulu Noodle) and had a great experience. Came on a Saturday and it's a nice little spot. Tasted just like what we had in Taiwan. The beef was super tender and flavorful, not overly salty. The Sharpen Noodles had a great texture too. Prices were around $15 to $18 per noodle dish, which isn't bad at all considering the portions are pretty decent. They also have a variety of appetizers and a big list of barbecue items that we didn't try this time, but definitely want to next time. You can see right into the small kitchen, which is kind of fun. The waiter was friendly and gave us some good recommendations. Overall, solid spot with tasty food and good service. Went here with a friend for lunch today. I ordered the Taiwanese beef brisket noodle soup while she had the half beef, half tendon noodle soup. It comes with a choice of thin or wide noodles. I was told the wide noodles are made in-house. You can modify spice level. I chose medium which was just right. Although when it first came out, it looked really spicy because of the amount of hot oil and red chili pepper flakes on top. But after tasting the broth it turned out to be less spicy than it looked. Also, there were skewers on the back of the menu but they said there were no skewers. That's why I took off a star. The food itself was delicious however. Highly recommend getting their hand pulled noodle option rather than the thin noodles (unless you don't like thick noodles) as it's made in-house and has a great texture. Fantastic and authentic Chinese food on Park. Came after a Trunk or Treat event and the service was super friendly and good and the food was delicious and made to order. Had the Taiwan Beef Noodles, cucumber appetizer, pork and cabbage dumplings, and wontons in chili oil that are made fresh on site daily. The knife cut noodles are really good as other reviewers have said and the broth is very rich and flavorful without being too oily. It's an open kitchen so you can see and hear your food being made to order. The cucumber salad was really good and not too spicy for my kids. The meat was not fatty or too chewy. The wontons were really delicious! Will definitely recommend this place and be back. Kid friendly and the booths are cute and cozy also. Two of them face a large window. Yum yum yum! I really liked this place. Here's the catch, if you can't handle spicy- then it's probably not your first pick. The kind lady asked if it was our first time and let us know her favorites and which ones were the most popular. Of course we went with her suggestions because she knows what's good! We got cucumber salad for appetizers, which had a good amount of simply chili oil but was yummy nonetheless. We also had an order of the spicy chili wontons, the dry mix and the beef noodle soup. I think all of it was so good. I did have to accompany myself with a lot of water due to the spice but as mentioned before, if you're not good with spice, order something else and don't complain! I think my favorite out of it was really the Beef Noodle soup. It had fresh noodles, the meat was hearty, and the soup was a good rich flavor. It is by far the best bowl of beef noodle soup that I've had in a very long time and it rivals the beef noodle soup I've had in Taiwan! Where do I begin to describe such deliciousness. The knife cut noodles, for starters, is extremely al dente and chewy with every bite. It makes you want to slurp up every last strand and take the fattest bite out of each noodle. I was excited to see they had 半筋半肉(half tendon half beef) beef noodle soup on the menu, and after asking they could make the Taiwanese braised beef noodle soup non-spicy for my husband. You also get to choose between thin or knife-cut (thick) noodles. Within 5 minutes the food came out. However, that's where my disappointment came in. The broth for my noodle soup was pure fat, it felt like eating noodles dipped in complete chili oil. All the meat inside was also pure fat. Now, I like fatty meat, but the amount of fat from the broth and meat was so tremendous that it turned me completely off. After consuming the lone 2 pieces of bok choy and some of the noodles, unfortunately I could not finish my dish. As for my husband's beef noodle soup, the broth was different from other beef broths we've had before - we're aware each restaurant has their own flavor, so this one would be objective, but we did not enjoy it. The texture of the noodles is satisfactory, just the broth and meat were not. Unfortunately, the pictures of the dishes looked good from other reviews, but the actual food quality was not great.
