Stopped by for an early lunch after my medical appt in downtown Alameda (Park St). I was the first customer when they opened at 11am. There's many food choices on Park Street, but many places don't open until noon. I was greeted as I came in, and offered the lunch plate menu. The young lady took the time to discuss everything. I ordered: - Fish Filet in Black Sauce, w/ Fried Rice (extra $$) - Iced Coffee, light sweetness Total Bill = $20.75. My lunch plate was a delicious comforting meal. A delightful balance of flavors. The portions were about right for lunch. The colorful bell peppers and chopped onions made the dish look appealing. The restaurant was cool and comfortable. The lights were turned down low. The warmth from outside had not yet creeped in. I had a very nice experience, and will return.

Tasty food and quick service. Hot fresh Chinese food. Large screen TV and clean spacious environment. Touches of old and healthy portions make this a favorite spot!

I love this place. Every time I come to Alameda, I think to stop here. I've never had a dish I didn't like (yet haha).

This is my favorite stop when I'm in Alameda with plenty of street parking and clean, comfortable hk cafe vibes. Today we tried the specials (traditional Cantonese dishes) which the server recommended. - Oyster braised pork feet - meat were so tender and tasty with rich umani flavors from the dried oysters . (5/5) - black bean spareribs- just like the dim sum style but in big portions . (4/5) - braised tofu and pea sprouts - freshly fried tofu crispy outside and soft inside with right amount of sauce over fresh pea sprouts 4/5) My parents and I loved the texture and flavors that were infused in the sauce using fresh ingredients, big portions at a very reasonable price!

Pretty standard Chinese food, standard service, with reasonable pricing! I like how small and relaxed it feels compared to most loud restaurants. It was easy to hear the people at my table while eating. The stand outs for me were the silken tofu over snow peas, and the Singaporean noodles!

My friends took me here for their local Chinese food. Overall experience was good, we ordered general chicken, beef chowmein, fried rice and dumplings. The dumplings were okay, the meat filling was good, but not as crispy. General chicken was sweet and crispy, little spicy. My friends said, it was but I did not think so. The Fried rice was huge portions and they let use do chicken and pork combo. The chowmein with thin noodle was okay, I feel like it was little dry. I should have pick thicker noodle. The chili oil did make everything better. The service was good. Parking was street parking.

We met our relatives here for lunch and had not visited since the restaurant has new ownership and were pleasantly surprised! We had 6 people and ordered 6 dishes, wor won ton (2 orders), string bean chicken, honey walnut prawns, black bean spareribs, beef chow fun (dry), salt and pepper filet of fish. Everything was plentiful for 6 and tasty, full of meat and flavor. We will definitely come back to try more dishes!

I've been craving baked pork chop so we wandered in to give this one a try. HKCC has a large menu, and the restaurant itself has a more updated look inside compared to the other HK spots in the area. Street parking only, so it may take some time to find a good parking spot since the area is super busy. Expect a walk. We ordered the baked pork chop over spaghetti, black pepper beef rice plate, and a HK milk tea. The waitress let us know there was a BOGO deal for the drinks (except soda), so we added a Thai milk tea with grass jelly onto our order. My BF's rice plate was super quick to come out, but the beef was pretty pale in color. The beef came with bell peppers and onions too, but the veggies were a little too undercooked for my taste. Despite the coloring, the beef was tender and flavorful but I highly suggest adding some of their XO chili from the table. Their XO sauce is really good! My BF said he didn't care for it, but I thought it was delicious. They sell the sauce but it's $25 for a small jar... My baked pork chop took for ever to come out. The waitress said they were having some issues with the oven they use to bake the dish. I was going to just take it to go but my bf said to stay and eat it fresh. After about 30 min, it came out piping hot, with a beautiful golden brown cheese crust. Sauce ratio to spaghetti was good, but they don't really use typical spaghetti noodle. Their noodles were a little flatter. The pork chop was very tender but there was a lot of fatty pieces. I'm not a fan of the fat if it's not crispy so I had to spit those out. The sauce was slightly sweet and tomatoey, and I loved the crusty bits of cheese. HK milk tea was not good. It had a slight tang to it, that neither of us liked. However, the thai tea was perfect and I loved the added grass jelly.

I got takeout and it was ready within 15 minutes. The pork chop rice was so good! Wish they gave more sauce but next time I'll ask for extra extraaaa! The beef noodle soup was good too. Staff are friendly.

I honestly do not understand how this place is only rated 3.6 stars. They deserve a perfect 5-star rating, no doubt about it! Everything we ordered was absolutely fantastic, authentic, and packed with flavor. The menu is massive, featuring everything from classic Cantonese dishes like Honey Walnut Prawns and Roasted Duck to an excellent Hong Kong style drink menu (their iced milk tea and red bean ice look amazing). If you want authentic, delicious, and comforting Hong Kong-style food, do not let the 3.6-star rating fool you. This place is an absolute gem and we will definitely be back.

Sassy, casual, yet informative service. Tasty dishes, even though both that we ordered were deep fried and therefore deeply unhealthy. Stopped in here after a movie around the corner. The Salt and Pepper Pork was good, but fairly standard. The P.10 Garlic Pepper Black Bean Rock Cod was great. The place was empty except for my party. But they checked in and took care of us.

Came here for dinner to try the restaurant. It was a quiet interior with a lot of seating. They keep it clean. The service is friendly and helpful. The food came out hot and fresh. Would recommend and will try the rest of the menu.

Our neighbor arranged a dinner arrangement here on a recent Friday evening. I haven't dined here in years and my neighbor said they ownership is different than when I dined there last. The restaurant in located on Park St. and is clean, modern and spacious. Seating are booths and large tables for groups. The menu consisted of Cantonese and Hong Kong style dishes. Salt and Pepper Squid - good flavor, but the batter was on the thicker side. Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings - delicious wings. Lightly battered, crispy and tasty. Baked Pork Chop and Spaghetti - good flavors and tender thinly sliced pork chops in red sauce topped with cheese. Baked Seafood and Rice - shrimp, scallop and calamari in a cream sauce topped with cheese. Very good. Hainan Chicken and Rice - the leg and thigh was cooked perfectly moist with a side of ginger oil dipping sauce. The side of rice was fragrant and tasty. Now I know where to come if I have cravings for HK style dishes and not have to leave Alameda. Good food with friendly service.

Small teeny piece of lamb- I'm talking about less than a crouton size - for a dish that's almost $20, I think they can be more fair and generous with the lamb portions of this meal. The spicy beef sauce w/ noodle was soooo spicy and the depth of flavor wasn't really there. My partner ordered this and it was way too spicy for him, and I thought it was overly spicy also. I ate this as leftovers the next day and it really upset my stomach from lunch into the evening. Won't be ordering this again. Your mileage may vary- some people really love this place but I think I'll opt for other noodle places instead

I was dining alone and ordered only shrimp dumplings and a glass of Chardonnay, yet the wait was excessive. The wine arrived in what looked like a tasting-sized pour, and at $16 a glass, it felt particularly disappointing--especially since it was the only white wine option available. The restaurant itself felt neglected. The tables were wobbly, the décor was dated, there was a noticeable cigarette smell, and I even had to replace my own chopsticks after noticing lipstick on the pair initially provided. After waiting so long for my food, I stood up to ask for my check and cancel the order. At that point, the dumplings suddenly appeared, along with an offer of a fried bun as compensation. I declined and suggested they at least comp the wine given the experience, but they did not. The final bill was nearly $30 for a mediocre glass of wine and shrimp dumplings that were undercooked and unappetizing enough that I threw them away after a few bites. If you're looking for a quick meal before a movie, I'd strongly recommend going elsewhere. This was a disappointing waste of both time and money.
