We love this place! it's a hidden little gem in the middle of West U with some of the friendliest people working there. James is one of the nicest general managers I've ever met and one of the hardest working. the food comes out in a timely manner it is always fresh a delicious. our kids get to run around and have a great time with all the other kids playing in the back. they get to stay entertained while the adults conversate and visit. Me and my boyfriend walked into Matt's and were immediately greeted with a happy and welcoming hello from the manager Tim. We came from out of town and heard the food was second to none from a family member. We didn't know what to order so Jillian behind the register recommended a couple of items, including the chicken tortilla soup which was so good I wanted a second bowl. We ended up getting two burger meals and splitting them up. Tim came up to us and checked on us multiple times, which was appreciated. Lots of screaming kids...fully expected. But the speed for a place that serves kids primarily is unbelievably slow. Burrito bowl had scant lettuce and chicken strips were really dry. Came here bc of the reviews and was not disappointed one bit! Brought my son here and while we waited for the food he was well entertained! The environment was awesome and throughout our dinner the manager or owner came to our table greeted us. What an excellent family spot for multiple reasons! The ambiance trumps it all...as they say, it's all for the kids. However it's just as much for us parents. This was the first eating out moment I can remember where there was no stress. All four of our kids enjoyed themselves to the fullest as my husband and I relaxed and finished all our food (rare occasion) and relaxed to our complimentary margarita! We always sit in the back patio area and throw our excess fries to the birds who pester us while we eat (HUGE portions). I ALWAYS get the Miss California (or Cali Girl? not sure) The chicken is always grilled to perfection. The last time I went (and the reason for losing one star) is that I got a Chinese Salad, and the entire thing was made of some dry nasty cabbage. Now I am a cabbage fan, but I couldn't finish my salad because I thought that it was going to be included with some other greens, not made primarily from cabbage. Other than that, this place is like a cool after school hangout. There's an arcade, it's part candy shop, extremely kid friendly, which is great for me because I'm a full-time babysitter. We have been to Little Matt's a number of times with our year old baby. The service is unbelievable, and the food is great for a child friendly establishment (plus our baby loves to watch other children). On Friday we thought it would be fun to bring two of my sister's kids who are 3 and 5 and had a great time. The kids were having so much fun eating and playing in the game room but wanted to play games that needed coins (obviously). I was surprised when I realized my wife and I both had left all cash at home and couldn't get coins for games. I asked an employee (turns out he is an owner, maybe Greg?) if there is a nearby ATM, and he asked why. I was kind of stunned by the question because I knew that a few blocks away there was a bank, and I was just asking if one was on site or closer. When i told him for games he grabbed probably five dollars worth of quarters and held it out to me, which I then responded that I'd like to write him a check. The man grabbed my hand and put the coins in it without taking any payment. He is clearly aware that with young children time is precious and you are always on the clock. The nephew and niece had a great time, and we are so thankful to this amazing place. When we left I noticed there was an ATM even closer than I thought.
