I used to love Little Mo. Specifically the lemongrass chicken or shaking beef bowl. It has been a while since ordering but today I did. For $23 and change I got a smaller portion and the chicken is a grilled chicken cutlet cut into strips vs the marinated and grilled chunks it used to come with. Flavor and quality is not the same. Super disappointed in this.

Had a late-night family dinner at Little Mo in Brooklyn and overall had a really good experience. We ordered the pho, shaking beef rice dish, lotus fries, and fried wings. The lotus fries were definitely the standout for me -- super crunchy and probably my favorite thing we ordered! The shaking beef was also tasty, and everything came out pretty quickly. For drinks, we tried the rosy lychee apple, mango rosemary, and Thai tea. They were decent, although nothing particularly blew me away. The atmosphere was nice, service was good, and the food came out fast, which is always a plus for a late-night meal. Overall, a solid spot for a casual dinner with family. Would definitely come back for those lotus fries!

Honestly I never had curry chicken looked very intimidating but this definitely gave me the key to open a door to having this more than ever. Super tasty but super spicy but still tasty. Definetly felt fresh and felt very welcomed with staff service and music.

We got the pho and pork belly banh mi lunch special, both were very tasty especially for the price point (around $25 with tip for two people). Service was a little slow despite not being too busy, but there was only one server, so it makes sense. What would've made it 5 stars: if the banh mi had more fillings (pickles, cilantro, etc)

The menu had a great variety and everything was delicious! The Mo Special Pho had a flavorful broth and super tender meat. The Mo Wangs (both flavors) were a must-get. The KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) banh mi with kimchi fries was another standout. The brussel sprouts were yummy and saucy. The cucumbers were a little too oily for my liking, but the cucumbers themselves were refreshing. Not pictured: Viet iced coffee, which was very solid, strong coffee and not too sweet. I'd definitely give this place a try!

I got the classic beef Pho during lunch special and it was delicious. Great price. Fast service and a calm ambience. The wings are my favorite and highly recommend (crispy!)

Just moved right around the corner from this spot and it was incredible! I came by on a Friday night and was able to be seated right away. The service was very nice and super friendly/helpful with everything on the menu. The ambiance was cozy and warm, the perfect chill dinner or would also be a great lunch spot. A perfect local spot! I just moved to the area was very happy to find Little Mo. The food was exactly what I hoping for - the banh mi had a big pork chop with tons of flavor, the pho was loaded with delicious meat (including short rib!), and the Thai tea was not too sweet, just right. The service was also great! Our server was very kind and immediately took our orders, and was very attentive throughout the meal. Lastly, the overall ambiance was cute! This is my first time back at Little Mo's in a while and I'm pleased to say it's even better than I remember it! Service was so friendly, prices were reasonable for this part of Brooklyn, and really easy to get to from the train. As someone who lived in Houston and has had a taste of the Houston Vietnamese food, this is the saddest banh mi I've ever had. The first issue is that it was like $14, which I would never ever ever spend for a banh mi, but my friend really wanted banh mi and convinced me to give this a go. The second and main issue was that it was just straight up not good. The bread was way too crisp and hard and not fluffy at all. The eggplant mushroom filling was strange and didn't pair well at all. It was a little tough, salty, and had a slight taste of dishwater. I absolutely hate wasting food but the only way I was able to come close to finishing this was by removing the eggplant mushroom. It's also a red flag that this is served with fries, and a reminder why I don't eat Vietnamese food in NYC. read more

A friend of mine recommended Little Mo so I headed over to check it out. Firstly, the service was great. I would come back any day just for the service. The music was also really good. When I went, a hip hop playlist was playing in the background. As far as the food goes, I tried the Lemongrass Chicken Bahn Mi. It was amazing. I loved the combination of flavors. I live around the area from this place and I have been intrigued to try their food everyday I walk by being introduced to Vietnamese food some time ago. Came to their restaurant with my lady and loved the vibes from the sign outside the door to the music inside. We also got their refreshers which are so good for the most part. I recommend the mixed berries jaz tea. We also came around their happy hour special and got their Classic Beef Pho and their Shrimp and Pulled Pork Bao Buns which were bomb! It's the best beef pho I've had in quite a while! Typically, I order from 5ive Spice, but they close early, so I tried Little Mo tonight. By far the most beef I've had in any pho I've ordered in Brooklyn, and I've ordered from many different Vietnamese restaurants. The broth was good, and they had plenty of toppings. The pictures online didn't do it justice. I also got the wings, which were good, but I think they'd be better in person. Still, they arrived piping hot on a Saturday night, so I'm not complaining. I will definitely be back to order again soon. read more

My only complaint is that I wish it had a sauce... like something to top it with. The sour cream was great, but I wanted like a green or red sauce or something to give it a bit more punch. It was a little dry, but perfectly cooked... a strange combo lol. The coffee, however, made us both chuckle when it came to the table. The glasses were entirely hard to use and not something that I would recommend for table service. It was a struggle and we would've just preferred a simple mug. Otherwise, everything was great and we left happy and full. I'll most definitely be back.

This place was under construction probably for a year and when I passed the other day I was surprised to see it finally open. Cool decor, I mean you can't go wrong with reclaimed wood and murals, right. Play it safe. The food is wayyyy over priced though. $8 for 4 wings, $2 per piece, really?! Isnt that some privileged chicken. That's all I got, nothing special flavor wise, actually they weren't crispier enough. $10 for Banh Mi, nope, I don't think so. Come on guys, even in Manhattan is not that expensive. $7.75 for a banging sandwich at Num Pang located in Union Square - a "can't compare" location and rent. Little Mo so far is a little overrated given it's Little Skips' second joint and I think it will get good reviews by default. Decor and murals won't fill up tummy, the 4 wings didn't do it either. Asian-inspired, braised pork belly is the standout for me, whether its in the Sammie or Bao.Pho (price not posted) is supposedly offered --not as a regular item,but only on weekends? That's a shame, especially since winter is underway and it would serve as a great alternative for the supposed Ramen-crazed demographic that resides nearby and seemingly make up the bulk of the franchise's (Little-Skips) clientele. We love pho, so finding a spot we actually want to come back to says a lot--and Little Mo is definitely one of those places. This was our second time here and it hit just as good. We got the supreme beef pho, classic beef pho, and the train alley belly bites--everything was fire. The broth is super flavorful, portions are solid, and you've got plenty of options on the menu. On top of that, the service is great, the atmosphere is really chill, and the music is always on point. It's just an easy, go-to spot when you want good food and a good vibe. I live 1 block away and I've been going there regularly for a year now. The Spring rolls are awesome, vegan or regular. There catfish banh mi and bowls are great. I love their ginger beer. Between the three of us, we ordered: * Edamame * Spicy cucumber salad * Thai basil popcorn chicken * Two "Money" phos (one with extra brisket) and one brisket pho * Lychee hibiscus iced tea * Two mint Thai teas * Three separate orders of sesame balls Even though we all submitted and paid at the same time, the food came out very sporadically. Drinks arrived first -- the Thai teas were tasty and refreshing, but the lychee hibiscus tea was weak, with almost no flavor. The cucumber salad was disappointing. It was basically cucumbers in sesame oil, and we had to ask for chili oil to make it resemble the "spicy" salad advertised. Even then, it was just cucumbers in chili oil. Food continued arriving in odd order. One pho came out first, then mine, while our third friend sat waiting. My edamame came after the pho -- overboiled, mushy, and under-salted. The popcorn chicken was much better: crunchy, flavorful, and paired well with its dipping sauce. Honestly, that and the Thai teas were the highlights. The pho, though, was bad. The broth had a sour, unpleasant tang, and adding hoisin or sriracha didn't improve it. My bowl even came with a full stalk of mint thrown in uncut -- either I had to fish it out with my hands or leave it floating. The beef was chewy, overcooked, and in the case of the rare slices, not even cooked through because the broth wasn't hot enough. I had to hold pieces under the broth and wait to eat them. The sesame balls tasted good, but the service around them was frustrating. Two orders came halfway through the pho, but the third didn't arrive until 20 minutes later, after we asked twice. Getting to-go boxes was also a struggle -- we had to ring the help button repeatedly and wave down the one staff member working. The staff member was kind, but they were stretched far too thin, and service was slow across the board. For the price, this place is absolutely not worth it. The total bill came to about $140 for three people, which is outrageous given the small portions, poor service, and overall disappointing quality of food. Between the cost, the bad pho, and the lack of staff, I wouldn't return.
