    Sauce for almond chicken

I'm not sure why my photos disappeared but the almond fried chicken was an edible and the Singapore rice doodles were more like Singapore sway sauce noodles. We actually ended up throwing it away never contacted them. It's not worth my time.

BBQ Pork Very tender, moist and delicious.

Wanted to eat some Chinese take outs today and this was available on doordash so decided to try them. We got the hong Kong house special noodle which is crispy noodle with a mix of protein and veggies. We also got the winter veggie special which came with tofu and mushrooms and veggies. Portions was pretty generous. Food wise, it was standard. Nothing really spectacular about it, but nothing really bad about it either. I was a little surprise that they didn't provide rice with the winter special dish so I guess it's extra? Overall, a good place to try but nothing I would go out of the for as they are on par with other Chinese restaurants

I had a straight-forward simple delicious meal. The hot and sour soup was excellent, not too much pepper and lots of rich, complex flavors. The Kung Pao chicken tasted even better than it looked. The chicken was supple, cooked just right and the steamed rice was perfect, very fresh and fluffy. (see the pics) The waitress was nice, quite efficient, and very attentive... no complaints about the service, at all. Everything else, the facility, the furniture, the decor, the restrooms, the parking... is all typical strip mall average. But the prices are very reasonable! For me, it raises this restaurant to 4-stars. Would I come back? Yes!

Many speaking mandarin, lots speaking English. But anytime I go to a place and it's not filled with Americans but the people the cuisine represents, it's always a good sign. We were immediately greeted and they have quite a few tables. Many of them are the big round tables with the lazy Susan in the middle. Typical and traditional for a family dinner experience with Chinese food. As it's meant to be served and shared with everyone. You don't typically order your own plate. On our visit we ordered the Westlake beef soup, fried eggplant with spicy garlic, seafood chow fun with gravy, and the salt and pepper fried chicken wings. Every single dish was served piping hot and fresh. The chow fun had a hint of the wok char which is super important. And each dish was delicious. The eggplant was so tasty. The garlic extra crispy and not bitter at all. The crispy coating around the tender eggplant- exceptional! The chow fun was well balanced. The seafood cooked perfectly. The chicken wings, I only wish it had more topping on it. But fried well, light batter and seasoned to perfection. The soup was light and with a little white pepper, I was so satisfied. We will definitely be back. The service was great. They were friendly. Just a tip, they don't take American Express.

The staff was both kind and attentive, and we didn't feel rushed at all like we did last time. I consider this to be one of the better Cantonese restaurants on the Eastside although prices are on the higher end for average size portions. Our table of 10 was able to polish off nine dishes with no leftovers which is not super common for us. When we go to other restaurants, there's usually at least something left to take home, but here, all our plates were completely clean. + SAUTÉED FISH FILLET ($19.95): Lightly fried pieces of fish were coated in a subtle soy-based sauce with snap peas, celery and mushrooms. The fish was delicate and addicting; every time it approached me on the turntable, I scooped a piece onto my plate! + ENOKI MUSHROOM w/ SILKY TOFU ($19.95): The tofu had such a smooth custard-like texture with a firm lightly fried exterior. If you're seeking a vegetarian option, I recommend this! + HOUSE SPECIAL CHOW MEIN ($16.95): So good! The noodles had a delicious wok flavor and weren't too oily. It included slices of BBQ pork, small shrimp that had a perfect snap and tender calamari strips. Onion and cabbage added some crunch. + DRY BEEF CHOW FUN ($16.95): They use the dried flat rice noodles rather than the fresh ones, so this was just okay. (I think the last time we came, they used the fresh noodles.) The noodles were not as soft as I'd like, but the flavor aligned with your average chow fun and the pieces of beef were quite tender. + PEA VINES w/ GARLIC SAUCE ($19.95): The pea vines tasted fresh with crunchy stems and tender leaves. This is a good straightforward veggie dish. + SZECHUAN CHICKEN ($16.95): This is labeled as "spicy" on the menu, but the heat level is mild at most. I'd say it was more of a sweet and sour sauce which wasn't bad, but just different than anticipated. The chicken pieces were pretty small and some were mostly crust, so I would probably skip this next time. We had three other dishes as well, but these are the ones I wanted to spotlight. After we ordered, our food started arriving shortly after and the staff walked around on a regular basis to refill waters. Mai Place is pretty easy to miss when driving around the area, so definitely make a point to seek it out the next time you're craving authentic Chinese cuisine.

It was tender and flavorful. You even got a bit of that wok char on it when they cooked it all together with the bell peppers. It was the most satisfying thing we ate. The pho was not anything I would go out of my way for. But it did its job. And for $13 for a combo pho, I was not mad at it all. Definitely packed with a lot of noodles if you appreciate that too. The broth was solid. The service was friendly. It's a small restaurant with a good amount of seating. Nothing fancy at all. But you don't hear for vibes. But they lose 3 stars from me because they use some kind of industrial strength cleaning chemical to wipe down the tables. Hard to enjoy your meal when all you can smell is the same chemical they use to mop the floors at QFC and in my apartment building. Seriously terrible chemical smell while you eat. If they are using a spray bottle to clean at the next table, you'll get a cloud of harsh cleaning chemical up your nostrils while you eat. I've had to rinse off and wiped down my own table with a napkin dampened with tea or water in order to enjoy my meal. When I mentioned this to staff, they were dismissive and haven't changed a thing in over a year when I first brought it to their attention. They should only be using something like quat sanitizer, that doesn't smell, to clean the tables. NOT something that is used for floors or bathrooms. and on a side note: if you decide to mop underneath another table while people are dining next to it, please say "excuse me" or just wait. Instead of almost hitting people in the head with a mop handle without saying a word. Also not great for a dining experience. I have worked in restaurants and F&B management. I know something about these things. You shouldn't use anything on a table for diners that you wouldn't use on a food preparation surface. How many times has a dumpling got away from you and bounced around on the table and you snag it and consume it, because you assume the table isn't being cleaned with floor cleaner? If you agree with me, please say something to the staff, and maybe they'll eventually listen. This is a real shame. The food quality is quite good. Probably best dim sum in South King County. I might just do take-out from now on. There are other high quality Chinese and Asian dining options, that's the bright side of living in this area. But if I'm doing takeout, I might as well just go to Dim Sum House on Beacon Hill (much more reasonable prices and good quality).

I needed to be in Renton along 4th Ave and since I don't get to eat good Pho much anymore, I saw that Happy Autumn was along the route I'd be driving. My first impression. The food handling rating is EXCELLENT and the restaurant looked clean. The staff was delightful, professional, full of smiles, and had my order ready for pick-up right on time. I got the grilled chicken Pho to go, which is risky because 'to-go' meals can be skimped on since people don't tend to complain on meals to go from their house. I was NOT disappointed. They piled up all the goodies. Extra Sriracha, jalapenos, cilantro and basil. Lots of chicken and noodles and just a touch of sprouts (they are my least favorite Pho item). The broth was fragrant, flavorful and by the time I got home 45 minutes later, still hot. I put it all together and enjoyed some of the best Pho I've ever eaten locally. HIGHLY recommend.
