Got these two lovely dessert from a patient at work today. She's so generous. I didn't get to visit the physical bakery so I can't really review their interior design and space. But I'm sure it's a lovely cozy bakery according to my patient. The brown sugar walnut cake is my favorite one, the texture is so bouncy and inviting. It reminds me of a childhood time cake " Fa Gao" from Taiwan. Not too sweet so it's dangerous to finish the whole box lol. The savory one is also very impressive. Fresh and lots of flavors. The salted egg yolk filling is absolutely a surprise in a good way. My family and I enjoy them very much and hopefully will visit them soon. read more

We tried some of the individually packed cakes and the egg tarts. The egg tart case was delicious and flaky (a little different than the crumbly,short texture of a traditional egg tarts). The custard was lovely and not overly sweet. The little cakes were a great way to try a variety. We had the passion fruit and mango, strawberry, taro, and black forest . The strawberry had little bits of strawberry jelly which amped up the strawberry flavor. The whipped cream was nice and light and perfectly sweetened. Parking is easy in the lot. With 10% tip, it came out to be shy of $10. Both pastries are ok. The taro bun wasn't sweet enough, and the red bean was too sweet. The Americano helped balanced things out. We had to find a different place for egg tarts since the usual place we get it was closed down sadly. This place had great reviews so decided to try the egg tarts and some pastries. Custom birthday cake are always good but a little pricey. The texture of the cake is fluffy and not that sweet. The fruit is very fresh. We tried lychee cake and matcha jasmine cake. The lychee cake is a favorite for everyone. Apart from typical fruit, the use of some edible flowers add a nice dimension to the cake. (And the fancy color of pink is every little girls dream cake!) Looks like a generic Asian bakery (which is usually already pretty good) of the 85 degrees sort but the pastries here are better. Their Brulee tart (Po tart) is really good. The best thing though, are these fancy looking pork sung "mini cakes". I thought it was just pork sung bread cut weird, but the inside is actually very much cake batter, moist and soft. And in the middle there is salted egg yolk!!!! This has got to be the most amazing pastry I've eaten of late. Whoever invented this should get it patented and apply for whatever prize they give out to fancy pastries chef. I'm willing to sacrifice a boba a week so I can get these fancy schmancy creatures. read more

I love the pastries from Little Swan when I lived in Arcadia and so thankful that they recently opened a new location in Rowland Heights as I've also since moved, but this review is strictly for their custom birthday cakes! I ordered a cake for my daughter as she loved mermaids but I didn't want to get the traditional Disney Ariel cake. Little Swan made the PERFECT cake for my princess and made her such a happy girl on her birthday. Service was great as the gentleman who helped me knew exactly what I wanted and the cake came out exactly as I had envisioned it. Great Asian bakery but pricy. My family was getting groceries at Calimart next door, so I popped by Little Swan to grab some dessert for later. Selection was a bit limited as we came in the afternoon around 4:30, but there was still a decent amount available. This place was popping as everyone was coming in to get their last minute Christmas cakes. I picked up two cake slices - the taro crepe cake for $8.50 and the mango mousse cheesecake for $6. We had both cake slices the next day. They were really good, especially the taro crepe cake. I'm generally not a fan of crepe cakes, but I loved the taro one as the taro flavor really came through. I'll definitely have to stop by again next time we're in the area and try some of their pastries and other desserts! read more

Durian crepe cake is our favorite, my daughter loves it! Their matcha crepe cake is pretty good too. It's a good balance of crepe and cream. Their cheese mochi bread is addicting cause of the texture and it's bite sized so I could eat the whole box in one sitting. Their wife cakes are a must try as well! I get a dozen cause they are pretty small sized. Their lemon iced tea tastes way better than most cafe makes. read more

This Little Swan Bakery is located on Valley and Almansor inside a strip mall (next to the Sunday Bistro). They always have a lot of people to get pastries there. They have many cake and pastry selections. It's a little bit pricey compared to others but they have fresh pastries and bread. The cakes are pretty. I got a few pastries and bread and they tasted not bad. Overall, I would give them 3.5-4 stars though. read more

Little Swan Bakery is my new fave bakery in the 626! It's located in a shopping plaza with a large parking lot. I visited the bakery a couple of Sundays ago at around 10am-11am. At that time, the store layout had the grab-and-go breads on the left and tables of mooncakes & box sets on the right. I navigated through small aisles to get the breads and it was a bit cramped with foot traffic. But the breads were sealed and presented nicely, and service was quick! I selected a few breads for breakfast in the coming week, including the Green Onion Bread, Japanese Sweet Potato Bread, Pineapple Bun, and Salted Egg Yolk Custard Bun. My 1st fave was the Salted Egg Yolk Custard Bun; it wasn't too sweet and had a generous amount of custard that paired well with the soft bun. My 2nd fave was the Japanese Sweet Potato Bread; it also wasn't too sweet, and had a flaky top and rich sweet potato paste. All the breads have a standard golden color, which shows consistency and a signature look for the bakery. Their prices are quite affordable compared to other Asian bakery chains, at about $2-$3 per bread. I'm definitely going back to Little Swan Bakery! read more

I would give this place an overall 3.5. Little Swan used to be our family to-go place since they opened and when we lived around the area. They used to have seatings inside which is nice to enjoy the food and drinks. Now, they got no chairs and tables. Before, they will have lots of fillings in their bread, but now the filling is very disappointing. Mini Pumpkin Toast: this bread is soft and fluffy. HOWEVER, it got no pumpkin tastes to it. Also, it is kind of greasy and oily. The toast is super small and mini, I don't think it is worth the price. Vanilla Cream Puffs: my parents really enjoyed this. It is not too sweet and could taste the vanilla flavor. Red bean bread: my dad really likes one of their red bean bread, but it wasn't out when I visited the store (around 10 am). So I bought him a different kind of red bean bread, and the red bean filling was just sad-looking and very disappointing. There was only a small amount of the filling in the bottom corner. Our family used to love this place for its good quality and various selection. But now, it is not the same anymore. Highly priced, but lower quality products compared to before. I see Little Swan is expanding to other cities, I hope they can work on quality control as well. read more

We also got some savory breads, like the garlic cheese bread and sausage & cheese bread. The wife cakes are different than the ones I've gotten in Toronto, Boston, and Michigan. They're smaller and thicker. It's SO good fresh out of the oven, and can definitely be revived at home in a toaster oven. The cheese mochi bread is very interesting -- taste and texture. It was good but I can't eat too many at once. Overall, very clean and nice bakery. I like this more than the 85°C bakery in downtown Alhambra. read more

The pastry alone should be 5 stars but unfortunately they are kind of pricey. The wife cake is smaller than other bakeries but hands down it is better than any I have had. It is flaky and bits of crunchy melting when you bite into it. Well just a few bites but still very delicious. The salty egg gold custard bun is like a pinapple bun with filling. Don't let the name throw you off it is nothing like a salty egg taste. I had this amazing bun at my mom's funeral and it brought me back. My mom loved the birthday cakes from here I never got a slice. Now I am going to have to take a bite and buy one from here. The bbq pork buns is filled with a good amount of bbq pork. 5 stars for sure for taste but value of price it takes interview to 4 stars. Crepe cakes isn't my thing but they do offer a durian and taro crepe cake to cater to the Asian pallet but prices have gone up in 2024 (but probably still cheaper than Lady M). A fun little bakery to visit. They have a lot of the Chinese-style pastries. The Lo Po Beng is good along with their amazingly good Cream Puffs! Also, they have a great selection of other baked items like the famous hot dog baked buns and much more. It's one of those in and out bakeries, but you do choose your own pastries and place them on a tray. You can order additional items behind the counter, or by the cashier area. The cakes here have the best Asian cakes that I've had; I love how the cake itself is pretty light and not overly sweet and the cream on it is delicious as well. They also decorate the cake really nicely here! The cake is on the pricey end because they're around $40, but I think that they are worth the price. Alongside cakes, they also sell other breads and baked goods; although I've never tried them, they all look really good. The store itself looks like your typical no frills Asian bakery. First time to visit. Five star for the baked goods. The chicken cookies were amazing, crunchy yet chewy little dollop of a cookie that made me think of childhood. Alas...two stars for the unfriendly rude cashier and service help...my 85 yrar old mom asked a question and they just ignored her...even tho they clearly heard her bec they spoke dismissively to her. I'm sure they would not like it if someone spoke to their mom they way they spoke to mine. Of course maybe their poor attitudes had something more to do with closing time. Maybe some customer service training might help here. Too many great bakeries in the SGV, so rudeness to elders, pass. A shame because whoever does the baking is talented. read more

I love coming here for their crepe cake. Especially the durian crepe. It is similar to Lady M but it slightly cheaper. It is a bit different since their crepe is not as thin as Lady M but it is still delicious. I have tried the vanilla and matcha also. All 3 flavors are delicious, just on your preference in flavor. Absolutely my favorite spot for crepe cakes! They have delicious flavors and everything is freshhhhhh! Last time we got the durian crepe cake for mom and it was absolutely heaven, so creamy, tasty, durian was fresh and plentiful, the fruits on top were gorgeous and family loved it.
