This Thai spot in Midtown East is a great choice for a yummy authentic meal with so many dishes to choose from! The Thai tea was creamy and refreshing. The meat balls were plump and juicy. The wings had a nice crisp and bite. The seafood soup was sour and had tomato umami flavor with lots of fresh seafood. I really enjoyed the turmeric flavor in the curry fried rice and the chicken was grilled well and paired nicely with the peanut sauce. The noodles were on the sweeter side and had lots of crispy pork! Service was good and there's lots of space inside. The ambience is very good, it is very clean, service is also good - food is actually very good! They have been in the neighborhood in the same block for years. During my most recent trip to NYC, I came here for dinner on an early Sunday evening. It was only a few block north from where I was staying. As I reached the restaurant, I noticed a long line of people in front of Tomi Jazz. It looked to be a Japanese jazz bar. Just from the restaurant photos that I could find online, it looked like a total hipster spot. Since I don't drink alcohol anymore, it didn't really appeal to me. Well, LTK, was just the opposite. It was a little past 5 pm and the place was all but empty empty except for a couple at the bar. After being seated and looking over the menu, I ordered the tom yum soup with chicken and pineapple fried rice with beef. The presentation was good. Both the soup and fried rice were good. We really like this neighborhood Thai place, have eaten there 3 or four times already. We brought my brothers here a month or so ago, when they were in town. Never had a bad meal. Popped in on a Thursday evening recently. We shared the papaya salad to start. It was a chilly day and we'd been out all afternoon, so I decided to try one of the noodle soups. I had the laksa shrimp noodle soup and it was very delicious. Five or six shrimp on the top of a golden soup loaded with rice noodles and some veggies. It was served steaming hot with chopsticks and a spoon. Easy to eat, not very spicy (menu has 1 chili pepper , I wouldn't have minded a bit more "heat") but a good little kick to it. Hubs had the garlic eggplant. This was loaded w veggies and he said it was really tasty. We're not meat eaters, so I can't comment on their meat dishes, but I'm definitely going to try some of the other noodle soups this winter! They have a Thai dessert place upstairs but we've never tried that. Go, enjoy! read more

Stopped by back in 2023 when they were a very small hallway with almost no room to dine. Went in when they opened and were able to be seated straight away. Server was attentive and friendly. We just wanted a quick bite before heading to the airport. We ordered THAI CHICKEN WINGS and PAD SEE EW (no longer on their menu). The wings were fried nicely however lacked flavor so it has to be eaten with the dipping sauce it comes with. The pad see ew was great though - perfectly flavored and charred to perfection. Sad that it's no longer on the menu. Closest thing to that dish would be the drunken noodles. My friends and I had a reservation for 5 pm. The doors were closed when we arrived so we had to wait on a line outside the restaurant. After waiting about 20-30 minutes, we eventually saw that the door was slightly open. Even though the restaurant was empty, one waitress was scrolling on her phone when we inquired about whether they were open. No one came outside to inform us that they were ready for dinner service, so if it wasn't for our asking, there's no telling how long we would've been waiting on the line. The hostess who seated our group was named Cee, as per the name on the receipt. She took our orders. One of my friends mentioned to a male server who brought out our food that she received the wrong food--she ordered pad see ew but received pad Thai. The gentlemen took the food back with a promise to bring the correct order. Instead of apologizing for the error, Cee came to our table and insisted that my friend actually ordered pad Thai, which was untrue. We were all shocked and my friend said okay to keep the peace. Cee continued to walk by our table throughout the night, failing to ask us how dinner was going despite doing so for other guests. When reviewing our receipt at the end of the night, we noticed that we were charged $6 for lychee iced teas, despite the physical on-site menus displaying $5. Although this may seem like a small difference, we wanted the prices to reflect the advertised price per the menu we ordered from. I informed another waitress of the error, who eventually came back with an updated receipt. We paid for the dinner in full with cash, intending to give the second waitress and the male server cash tips for their kindness. However, after taking the receipt, the waitress went to speak to Cee at the bar. The waitress returned and stated that we only paid for the food and were expected to tip. We explained that we were planning to tip her, but due to her demanding a tip and the overall negative dining experience, we no longer intended to do so. The waitress again informed Cee, who came to our table and loudly demanded that my friends and I give her a tip. She spoke over us, cut me off, and told us to get out. On our way out, she gave us hostile looks and repeatedly told us to get out, slamming the door behind us. As per older Google reviews, it appears that LTK is known for berating customers and demanding tips. This was such a disappointing experience, considering the food was quite good. However, customer service should always be at the forefront. I will not be returning to this restaurant and am highly dissatisfied by this experience. read more

Lately there are not that many decent places that are still around for a decent lunch or after work early dinner, Initially I was sad at first when we stopped by & they were not in their location, I thought they had closed so I was happy to see that they just moved a few businesses down to a much bigger space! New location has two floors & they have a bar which they did not have previously this is certainly a nice upgrade. They offer some Happy hour & lunch specials. Drinks I had a Lychee Martini & hubby had a Lychee mojito both good. Appetizers we tried the Chicken curry puff & the Corn fritters, really liked the corn fritters nice taste , good curry puffs as well. Chicken pad Thai & Garlic beef were both very good. This place is super close to Central Park and I stopped by for their lunch special. It came with spring rolls and pad thai and the total was about $15 for a pretty filling meal! Both appetizers were a good size. The papaya salad didn't have too much depth to it though and just tasted like regular fish sauce. The noodle entrees were tasty and they were able to accommodate the request for no peanut but it was a smaller portion than I expected. This has easily become one of my new weekly lunch spots. I enjoy the spice levels as I'm a spicy eater. Their Thai tea is pretty good too. I always get spring rolls which are a nice serving. My go to entrees are Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles either with shrimp or chicken. The drunken noodles already come with veggies which is a plus. Its a cute restaurant but it is a little small (just like most NYC restaurants) and it can get busy at times so be mindful. There's a small bar area too with seating in the front. read more

I do not like being lied to. Its a hit or miss because my colleagues and I order from this place more than once a week. Sometimes they decide to follow my special instructions for the food and sometimes they dont. This time around they didnt and i took the extra measures to make sure they didnt. Apparently noone reads. I preordered this meal from Monday and I was excited. My meal arrives and no chilli powder or vinegar added (refer to my picture added because this is just carelessness). I called the restaurant and the lady on the phone stated we do not normally give these things with your lard na. HUGE LIE, because when they do pay attention, it gets included in my order. Dont lie to me!! The only reason why i eat the Lard na from here is when the vinegar and chilli are added otherwise i do not like the taste without it. And i have been upset in the past because of this. She blamed the kitchen for being busy, but it does NOT MATTER. I spend the same amount of money and my order should be correct. They lost a VERY LOYAL customer and I do not appreciate the lie's especially because I am also Thai. read more

I went here a few weekends ago and overall I would say that this was pleasantly good Thai food with special note being their very large portions for the price. It reminded me of a place that closed a while back in the financial district outside of being probably 10% the size (the name of the restaurant is accurate.) they have a reasonable $19 dinner special which includes an appetizer, main dish (in all your typical American Thai styles,) and some vanilla ice cream with a chocolate sauce which the other two partook in. I got the Thai beef meatballs which were tasty and reasonably priced at $8 for the amount of meatballs. They had a good crunch and they were served with a sweet chili sauce you find in a lot of Thai places. They both started with a Thai salad which is listed along with the more traditional larb (meat salad,) some soups, a fried tofu dish, and a fresh spring roll. This turned out to be a rather large salad served with a peanut dressing and it was perfectly fine. I ordered laksa because for some reason they have some Malaysian/Indonesian dishes on the menu and haven't had it in a while. This consisted of a shrimp and coconut curry in a laksa paste broth with Chinese broccoli (or gai lan,) beansprouts, and rice noodles. This was a massive bowl of noodles. The shrimp in it was a bit odd being pieces instead of whole trip but it was fine and the broth was relatively well seasoned though I prefer a stronger heat. I prefer other types of noodles but they worked well enough. They went with drunken noodles/pad kee mao and green curry (both with chicken.) I tried both and they were both fine and yet again they were pretty big portions. The ice cream at the end was fine also. This is a reasonably priced Thai place on a block with a bunch of other semi-reasonably priced places. It's not the best Thai food you'll have even in the area but if you're looking for rather large portions, it is a good deal. If the portion sizes were more similar to some other spots, I probably give them a 3.5 rounded down but as they are large, it gets a 3.5 rounded up. read more

I had a great first-time luncheon experience here. There were many interesting lunch specials to pick from, I finally decided on the pad Thai with giant prawn. The noodles themselves come enclosed in a very thin egg omelet with crushed peanuts and bean sprouts on the side. A giant prawn (still in shell) is placed on top. Really great Thai food! I did a lunch pickup and got two new to me dishes: -Chicken Pra Raam Lunch (Sautéed peanut sauce with steamed broccoli. Served with jasmine rice.) -Chicken Gang Kaur Lunch (Coconut red curry with pineapple, tomato, cashew nuts, bamboo shoot and onion. Served jasmine with rice. Spicy.) The first dish had a really nice peanut sauce. The layer on top was thick, and a little more thin with what was at the bottom of the bowl, but a good amount of chicken and brocolli. Crushed peanuts on top too to add a crunch. The Chick Gang Kaur red curry was just as I had pictured it. Nice fruity sweetness.
